Olga and Steven Frend to 90 Day Fiance Fans: Pay Our Rent!

After 90 Day Fiance fans saved Danielle Mullins’ house , other cast members of the reality show that even controversial stars can get a little help. Now, Steven Frend and Olga Kolshimbetova are hoping that fans are in the giving spirit. They need help supporting themselves and baby Alex, and they’re asking for $15,000. “Drastic times call for drastic measures,” Steven Frend begins as he shares his GoFundMe page. “Trying my hardest to get my life on the right track,” he says. “And I feel as if I’m doing a great job.” Look, we know that Steven is controversial with good reason with viewers, but it’s worth it to read his whole post. “But we face certain hardships;” Steven admits. “Olga will be unable to work for an extensive period of time.” That leaves him as the breadwinner, but as he explains, he can only win so much bread at the moment. “As for myself,” Steven says. “I just landed a job opportunity as a Fire Sprinkler Installer (Apprenticeship Program) the training is 4 years long.” “Starting out at $16 an hour isn’t the best,” he admits. “But in the long run it’ll do us okay.” Some people would (not literally) kill for $16 an hour, but cost of living is no joke, especially when you’re supporting a family. “I’ll get a raise every 6 months depending or how hard I work at this job,” Steven shares. “(Monday – Friday 7am – 5pm).” “Currently i have registered for college,” he adds. “And will fit my classes in with my work schedule, as this field will not be my career.” He may find that he doesn’t get the raises he’s hoping for from any bosses who read that declaration. Maybe not. “But,” Steven says. “School takes 8 years in the field I want.” “After apprenticeship,” he shares. “I’ll be making $30-$35 an hour and that’s good for the age of 24.” “But $16 an hour isn’t enough to support a family of 3 as well as taking care of home bills, gas, etc,” he laments. We all have bills to pay, but those bills get higher depending upon where you live. “I’m very nervous on how things will play out,” Steven says. “But I have faith god will take matters into his own hands.” Some might accuse him of including that line to goad especially devout fans into donating, but it’s a very reasonable expression of faith. “I’m not asking for a lot,” Steven points out. Some may be taken aback, but considering that We The People WIll Fund The Wall has raised over $16 million on that same sight in a week, he’s right. Of course, he’s unlikely to attract the attention of the same number of rich racists.  “In a matter of fact,” Steven admits. “I feel ashamed having to make this campaign.” “But,” he continues. “I must do what is best to support my family.” Sometimes, doing the right thing for your child means swallowing your pride and humbling yourself before the masses. “Thank you for your consideration,” Steven says. “And have a happy holiday.” Steven and Olga have two updates on their GoFundMe. First, Steven informs doubters that yes, money really is tight. “I live in Montgomery county, Maryland,” Steven says, adding that it’s the “most expensive county in Maryland.” Then he breaks down their expenses. “Bills – Rent (Average rent a month on this county $2,000 a month, Utilities, Car insurance, Gas, Food, Diapers and clothes for our son,” he begins. “Student LOANS since people think I have an advantage to college. It’s community college and hopefully I’ll be able to transfer,” he says. “I can work my ass off my wife and I do,” Steven affirms. “But I want time with my wife and son.” “No matter how much money you make in life, you’ll regret all the time you didn’t spend with you family because you were to busy focusing on paper,” he notes. Steven reminds fans: “I’m trying my best but I still need to be there for my family.” This was their progress as of Monday morning, December 24. “The page is doing better we hoped,” Steven shares in a second update. “We made a mutual agreement and to ensure you guys are donating for a good cause,” he says. “We are going to open a second account in my bank and put all of this money in the bank for Alex and everything he needs,” he reveals. “We will not be spending this on our personal selfs!” he announces. “We appreciate every single one of you who are helping give our family a small head start!” “If you would like a personalized video from us both or only one of us just make an attempt to contact us,” he adds. Cameos are really popular with 90 Day Fiance stars this season. Clearly Danielle isn’t the only star they’re hoping to emulate. “Thank you all,” he says. “And have a lovely Christmas and New Years from the Frend family” Olga has used sweet posts on Instagram, like this photo, to soften her husband’s image to 90 Day Fiance viewers. Steven and Olga haven’t had the best experience as reality stars. While it seems likely that Colt and Larissa will take the crown as this season’s most horrible couple, viewers really, really don’t like Steven. The way that he speaks to Olga, regardless of editing, is unacceptable under any circumstances. While he has been upfront about admitting that he grew up in a toxic household, he has a lot to unlearn. 21 is a very young age at which to become a father, especially if one does not intend to repeat one’s family’s mistakes. Still, if fans want to help Olga, then they may want to donate to this fund. 90 Day Fiance stars are just not paid enough. View Slideshow: 90 Day Fiance Stars: How Much Are They Paid?

Mike Sorrentino Celebrates 3 Years of Sobriety Prior to Prison Sentence

When Jersey Shore fans first met Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino, he was a cocaine-fueled party monster who lived to create drama. These days, Mike has done a complete 180 and turned his life around in truly admirable fashion. Unfortunately, in the eyes of the criminal justice system, The Sitch still has much to atone for. Back in Sorrentino pled guilty to tax fraud . Federal investigators allege that the 36-year-old had failed to pay taxes on more than $9 million in earnings. In October,  Sorrentino was sentenced to 8 months in prison. He’ll be able to spend the holidays with his family but must turn himself in to authorities on January 15. That’s the bad news. The good news is that Mike recently celebrated a major victory in his battle against substance abuse. Mike posted the above photo to Instagram this week, allowing with the following caption: “Big daddy Sitch celebrating 3 years of sobriety & teaming up with @discoveryinstitute_nj to bring a holiday meal to Phoenix Recovery House in Eatontown NJ for Christmas,” Sorrentino wrote. Yes, in case you had any doubt that The Sitch is a changed man, he decided to celebrate his sobriety to giving back to others. In his latest Instagram story, Mike wrote, “2019 will be your year of advancement … God is taking you to another level.” Despite the hardships ahead, it seems Mike is genuinely optimistic about his future — and with good reason. Last month,  Sorrentino married Lauren Pesce , the college sweetheart, whom he’s been dating on and off for more than 15 years. “He just wants to get his time done, come home and start his life over. The wedding has been a great distraction for him,” a source told Us Weekly just prior to the wedding. “He and Lauren are just focusing on getting ready for their wedding,” the insider adds. “Once it’s done, he really wants to spend as much time as he can with her before he leaves. “He’s looking forward to working up until he goes away.” We hope he’s been able to do exactly that in the weeks to come. We wish Mike all the best in his continued recovery. View Slideshow: Mike Sorrentino Posts Honeymoon Pics Ahead of Prison Sentence

Matt Brown Checks Out of Rehab, Vows to Remain Sober

Back in September, Alaskan Bush People star Matt Brown checked himself into rehab after a family intervention. Now there is some very promising news that is sure to please the entire Brown family. Matt is out of rehab! RadarOnline reports that Matt Brown is freshly out of rehab, which he had entered to get a handle on his drinking. “Matt voluntarily checked himself out of rehab in late October,” reveals an insider close to the Brown family. “And,” the source shares. “He is continuing outpatient treatment at a nearby facility.” That is very good to know — sometimes, a relapse right after leaving rehab is a risk. Outpatient treatments can help provide continued support. “He is doing really good right now,” the insider says. “And,” the source elaborates. “He is committed to his sobriety.” “His family is very proud of him,” the insider adds. That is no surprise. Sobriety can be difficult to achieve. The Brown family loves and supports Matt and they know how difficult it can be to overcome a substance abuse issue. There’s more to leaving rehab than the support of your family — though that, of course, is important. “Matt has been attending recovery meetings,” the source says. The insider says that Matt has used these peer groups “and has been working with a sober coach.” We previously reported that Matt would hire a sober coach , even when he was still in rehab. A sobriety coach can provide one-on-one assistance that a support group often cannot. The source says that Matt is doing all of this “as well as going to therapy and counseling to battle his addictions.” It’s great that Matt is recovering and is on a path to avoid a relapse. The reason that he (once again) struggled with alcohol abuse was, as is usually the case, self-medication. It was explained that he started drinking as a “way to deal with his mother Ami’s cancer diagnosis.” There were times last year when everyone — including the Brown family — believed that Ami would die from lung cancer. The odds were stacked against her, but she defied all expectations. But the stress of her cancer battle — and the health scares that followed — exacted a toll on her loved ones, including Matt. As we previously reported, Matt Brown was feeling “ready to leave” after only a few weeks of rehab. “Matt thinks that he is ready to leave after 30 days and everyone is urging him to stay in,” a worried source revealed at the time. “He says that he is almost ready and can handle this on his own now,” that insider added. According to reports, he wisely remained until he had completed his 30-day stint. He was also sure to line up all of these safeguards so that he could continue to maintain his health. This was Matt’s second time having to fight an uphill battle to regain his sobriety. The first time was in 2016. At that time, he became more withdrawn and realized that his behavior and drinking were caught in a downward spiral. Fortunately, Matt has a very supportive family — and the resources to afford first-rate care and counseling to tackle this issue head-on. Demi Lovato Celebrates 90 Days of Sobriety!

Well, it certainly hasn’t been easy traveling, but Demi Lovato has reached a major milestone in her long road to recovery. Lovato is still in rehab and has not spoken to the media in several months, but her mother, Dianna De La Garza, shared an encouraging update with fans over the weekend. Appearing on Maria Menounos’ Sirius radio show, De La Garza revealed that Demi recently celebrated 90 days of sobriety. “She has 90 days,” De La Garza said. “I couldn’t be more thankful or more proud of her because addiction being a disease, it’s work. It’s very hard,” she added. “It’s not easy, and there are no shortcuts.” Back in July,  Lovato suffered a heroin overdose that nearly claimed her life. After being hospitalized for a week, the singer was transported to an Arizona rehabilitation facility, where she’s been a patient ever since. Demi has left the facility several times to meet with addiction specialists in Chicago, and her mother has been her traveling companion for each trip. De La Garza revealed to Menounos that she found out about her daughter’s overdose via text messages from friends who reached out to offer support after reading the news online. “The one text message that clued me in on what was going on said, ‘I just saw on TMZ and I’m so sorry,’” De La Garza said. “Before I could get to TMZ, I got the phone call from her assistant and she said, ‘We’re at the hospital.’ So then I knew, okay, she’s not gone,” she recalled. “ “She’s here. And I said, ‘What’s going on?’ And the words that I heard are just a nightmare for any parent: ‘Demi overdosed.’” In the months since her overdose, Demi has kept a low profile, but those who know the singer best say she’s 100 percent devoted to hard work of recovery. Lovato issued a statement to fans on her Instagram page prior to checking into rehab: “I now need time to focus on my sobriety and road to recovery,” she wrote. “The love you all have shown me will never be forgotten and I look forward to the day where I can say I came out of this on the other side.” Those who know her best, say that Demi has benefited tremendously from the love and support of her family, friends, and fans. We wish her all the best as she fights to reclaim her health. View Slideshow: Demi Lovato: Everything We Know About Her Overdose So Far

Ben Affleck & Lindsay Shookus: Planning a Wedding Even Though He’s Still Married?!

It’s been almost a year since the world first learned that Ben Affleck and Lindsey Shookus are dating , and these days, the couple is reportedly ready to take the next step together. Unfortunately, there are some sizable barriers blocking their path. According to a new report from Entertainment Tonight Lindsey is seeking a commitment from Ben, who seems hesitant to pop the question. But to his credit, there’s a very good reason for that: “Lindsay and Ben are very much in love,” a source tells the outlet. “During Ben and Jennifer [Garner’s] split, Lindsay truly felt villainized. Every day she spent with Ben out in the world for people to see felt like another day of public scrutiny, but her love for Ben was worth it,” the insider adds.  “They both learned to stick by each other during those painful months.” See, therein lies the issue. The source makes it sound like Affleck and Garner’s split was an ugly chapter in their lives that’s now over and done with. But the fact is Ben and Jen still aren’t divorced . Yes, despite the fact Affleck and Garner have been separated for three years, they’re still legally married. We’re sure that’s primarily because of legal and financial entanglements, but still … Lindsay probably isn’t too thrilled about the situation. The insider adds that Ben and Lindsay are planning to spend their lives together, but have thus far avoided any public discussion of marriage: “Ben has worked incredibly hard on his sobriety and Lindsay has been his rock. He will be forever grateful for all her love and support,” says the source. “They are both constantly being asked if they are planning to tie the knot, but for now they taking it one day at a time.” It’s good that he’s taking his recovery seriously, but we can’t help but think Ben’s leaning pretty hard on that “but, babe, my sobriety” excuse: “Ben knows he loves Lindsay, but he wants to take things slow for the sake of his sobriety. He’s actually been told to take it slow and he’s heeding that advice,” the insider claims. “Ben isn’t ready to propose and has no plans to get engaged anytime soon, but Lindsay feels he is worth the wait.” We’re rooting for ya, Shook. The news comes just five days before his divorce from Khloe Kardashian is set to become final . But as a source tells E!online , Lamar is really just trying to get well for himself and move on to a better level in his life: “It was his own decision.
