Ariana Grande Releases "Thank U, Next" Music Video and You HAVE to See It!

Stop what you're doing right this very instant. Seriously, whatever it is that you're doing, just leave it, because there is no way it is more important than this. Because Ariana Grande has just dropped her music video for “Thank U, Next.” And it is more important than literally everything. Or, OK, no, that's not right. Obviously some things are more important, though we can't name anything specifically right at this moment. But if you're browing around the web and you found yourself here, in this space, then this is the only thing that matters. It's just … this music video is so good? It barely even makes sense how good it is, honestly. See, she took a few different iconic teen movies like Mean Girls, Bring It On, and Legally Blonde and then put her own spin on it. Remember in Mean Girls when different high school students talked about Regina George and all the wild things she's done? In Ariana's video, we have people like YouTuber Miranda Sings saying “One time on Twitter, I heard Ariana was pregnant, so I got pregnant so we can be pregnant at the same time.” Jonathan Bennett, the actor who played Lindsay Lohan's love interest, Aaron Samuels in the movie, said “Ariana Grande told me my hair looked sexy pushed back. She's not wrong.” In a reference to the Pete Davidson engagement , another person said “Ariana broke off an engagement, so I found a guy to propose to me and I broke off an engagement.” So it's all just these nostalgic scenes from these beloved movies spliced in with Ariana and gossip and drama from her real life. How can you not love it?! Next we see Ariana lying on a bed, making a burn book, just like the characters from Mean Girls. She has pages in the book devoted to her exes — except for Mac Miller. It's not in the video, but she revealed on Twitter that his photo is in a frame by her bed for this scene. On Big Sean's page, we can see that she wrote “so cute” and “so sweet,” and what kind of looks like “could still get it,” which is hilarious. For Ricky Alvarez, she wrote “great dancer,” “good times man” and “friends forever,” which is very sweet. Interestingly enough, on Pete's page she put “I love u always,” “HUUUUUUUUGE,” and “sry I dipped.” After that, we see Ariana and friends up on a stage doing that classic “Jingle Bell Rock” dance — you remember the one. But you know in Mean Girls when Regina's mom, played by Amy Poehler, filmed the whole thing from the audience? THAT ROLE IS PLAYED BY KRIS JENNER. Did we mention how good this video is? For the second verse, Ariana moved on to Bring It On, complete with a cheerleading routine, and then she threw in a little 13 Going on 30, too. And for the bridge, this whole big, beautiful Legally Blonde scene happened, including an actual scene with Jennifer Coolidge, the actress who played Elle Woods' nail tech pal in the movie. “But wait,” you may be wondering, “if she did Legally Blonde, was there a cute little dog in a sweater? Did she bend and snap?” You know there was, and you know she did. Really, this whole video is just amazing, and it's more than we deserve. But hey, that's Ariana Grande for you , right? [1] It’s never quite been clear to me why Linda Cardellini isn’t a bigger star. Cardellini’s talents have been apparent ever since she starred in Paul Feig’s Freaks & Geeks back in 1999, and over the years she’s shown remarkable range in projects ranging from the deadly somber (Brokeback Mountain) to the utterly silly (Legally Blonde, the Scooby-Doo films). Justin Bieber Rules Billboard Charts For Third Week

New MGMT, Coheed and Cambria albums see strong debuts. By Gil Kaufman There’s just no holding down Justin Bieber . The pint-size Canadian pop sensation will hold onto the #1 slot on the Billboard 200 albums chart next week, thanks to another 92,000 in sales for his My World 2.0 album, which has sold more than 760,000 copies in its first month. The competition wasn’t even really close, though hipster duo MGMT had a relatively strong showing for their difficult second album, Congratulations, which debuts at #2 (66,000), according to figures provided by Nielsen SoundScan. The other debut in the top 10 comes from complicated rockers Coheed and Cambria , who notch a #5 showing for Year of the Black Rainbow (51,000). It’s the concept-album-loving MTV Musical March Madness champs’ highest-ever chart debut. The rest of the top 10 found ACM darlings Lady Antebellum moving up a notch with Need You Now (65,000), the year’s best-selling album so far, with more than 1.7 million copies moved. That’s followed by Usher with Raymond v. Raymond (#4, 64,000), Now 33 (45,000) and Lady Gaga ‘s The Fame (32,000). Ke$ha ‘s Animal returns to the top 10 (up eight spots to #8, 31,000), with Monica’s Still Standing (#9, 30,000) and Bieber’s debut, My World (#10, 30,000) close at its heels. Just outside the top 10, guitar legend Jeff Beck hits #11 with Emotion & Commotion (26,000). Former 10,000 Maniacs singer Natalie Merchant lands at #17 with her latest solo album, Leave Your Sleep. Former “American Idol” finalist Jason Castro is right behind at #18 with his self-titled full-length debut (#18, 20,000), and Gucci Mane ‘s Burrrprint 2 mixtape hit #19 (19,000). Further down the line, “Legally Blonde — The Musical” star Laura Bell Bundy hits #28 with her Achin’ & Shakin’ country album (15,000). The self-titled debut from former Guns ‘N Roses guitarist Slash had a short stay in the top 10, dropping 13 slots to #16 in week two (22,000), while Erykah Badu ‘s New Amerykah Part Two: Return of the Ankh falls 11 to #20 in week three (19,000). Fans were seemingly not feeling Madonna ‘s Sticky & Sweet Tour CD/DVD pack, as the live collection plummets 47 spots in week two to #57 (8,000) as sales dropped by more than 70 percent. Adam Lambert ‘s return to “American Idol” as a mentor did wonders for his five-month-old debut, For Your Entertainment, which rockets up 41 spots to #35 (13,000, up 121 percent). Next week’s contenders include the comeback album from Cypress Hill , the “Glee” Madonna soundtrack and AC/DC ‘s “Iron Man 2” compilation. Laura Bell Bundy Is Happy To Shelve Broadway for Country Music

‘It’s a lot of commitment to go and do a Broadway show — it takes a year and a half to two years of your life,’ singer says at the ACM Awards. By Gil Kaufman Laura Bell Bundy performs at the 2010 ACM awards Photo: Ethan Miller/ Getty Images LAS VEGAS — It’s a long way from “Legally Blonde — The Musical,” but Broadway veteran Laura Bell Bundy felt right at home at the Academy of Country Music Awards on Sunday night in Las Vegas. The 29-year-old singer was giddy just before the show started, after several days of rehearsal for her ACM debut. “I’m so excited about it,” Bundy said about her first time performing on a country awards show. “I’m honored to have the opportunity.” Bundy said she picked a good night to kick up her boots and sing her rousing single, “Giddy On Up,” which leads off her just-released second country album, Achin’ and Shakin’. With the night belonging to Miranda Lambert, Carrie Underwood and the one-third female Lady Antebellum, Bundy said there is definitely a movement right now in country music being led by women. “Especially blonde ones,” she joked. “I always appreciate the female country singers because I like to listen to female country singers sing.” With her stint in “Legally Blonde — The Musical” over, Bundy is gearing up for a tour in support of the album after a long stint away from music to focus on her acting career. But she said she hasn’t totally stepped away from her stage ambitions. “I’m producing a Broadway show, so that’s kind of where my toe is still dipped in the water,” she said. “It’s a lot of commitment to go and do a Broadway show — it takes a year and a half to two years of your life, and I’m not willing to give this up right now.” She wasn’t ready to spill the beans yet on what show she’s producing, saying with a smile, “I can’t tell you that,” but she promised some news about it in the near future. Fans got a preview of her return to live performance during her “Giddy On Up” slot on Sunday’s ACM show, during which she reprised the sexy line-dancing style of the video for the song, kicking up her heels beside her backup dancers while wearing a belly-baring cropped top and chaps over skintight jeans.
