Let’s get ready to rumble! Timothée Chalamet stars in a new battle for the crown movie called The King that is hitting Netflix later this month. Based on the Shakespeare play we see Timothée as King Henry V bicker and combat with his father for making England fight his unjust battles only to reluctantly take the crown once his father becomes ill. After that, a series of events happen that send the new King back to the battlefield to fight for his life. I had the opportunity to fly to New York City to sit down with the Oscar-nominated actor and the film’s director David Michôd to talk about The King. Chalamet broke down his process for rehearsing his loud monologues. “I just try to get the words down. I think it’s the kind of thing on the day, but I’m lucky enough to have done a lot of theater. I think I knew to do that speech in a hotel room but it was never going to be an authentic experience of the day of having 300 guys in front of you and trying to rile them up.” Timothee goes on to explain that he never yelled his dramatic war cry monologue prior to filming the scene. Then he shares a funny story about how all the extras in that scene didn’t understand English so they had no clue what he was actually saying. David who not only directed this film but also co-wrote it, broke down how they used a more modern language than the Shakespeare play while still keeping stellar wordplay for the actors, but the highlight of the entire interview was hearing Timothée Chalamet break down New York slang in order to describe The King on Netflix.
K anye West is busy doing Sunday sermons and spitting out historically incorrect information about Black History. Now, his pastor claims that he is immersed in reading the Bible and coming to Christ. See Also: Bill Cosby Sentenced To 3 To 10 Years In Prison For Sexual Assault Conviction Pastor Adam Tyson is Kanye’s pastor and the just met in June. Tyson said in a recent podcast , “[The] first time I talked to [Kanye] the first Sunday in June, he told me, ‘I got radically saved five weeks ago.’ I said, ‘Kanye, what happened five weeks ago?’ He said, ‘I was just under the weight of my sin and I was being convicted that I was running from God, and I knew I needed to make things right, so I came to Christ. I came out of the darkness into the light.’” He also said, “I spent about three hours just going through the gospel, making sure he understood clearly about the atonement of Jesus Christ, that God is holy, that we are sinners, that Christ came to die in the place of sinners, that by repenting and believing in him, we can have eternal life. And [Kanye] was like, ‘Hey, man. I told you. I’ve been radically saved; I believe that message and I wanna get that message out to the world.’ [I told him], ‘As long as you’re professing Christ and living for him, I’m here to help you.’” Tyson also revealed that he is studying the Bible, even though he is a “ proud ” non-reader of books, “He’s so excited about studying the Bible. How can you say no?…The fruit that I’m seeing is he’s no longer continuing in some of the sin patterns that he was before he came to Christ. Right now, every day, he is living and walking with God, so from what I can tell, there’s no reason for me not to encounter that and be a part of that.” Maybe the pastor could turn Kanye on to reading about his history. This was the same man who said slavery was a choice, Malcolm X wasn’t relatable and has repeatedly admitted to not voting a day in his life. Audrey Roloff is a happily married woman who clearly thinks she navigated her dating life in the most ideal way possible, hence this happy marriage. And this is wonderful for the former Little People, Big World star. More props to her, right? The thing is, what’s best for one person isn’t necessarily best for another person. And what’s best for this other person may not be best for some other person, you know? We say all of this because Audrey just shared the very sweet above photo of herself and husband Jeremy, writing along with it some advice to various women around the world. Some questionable advice, many folks out there believe. “SINGLE LADIES: To all my girls out there that are “hanging out” with a guy that you’re just not sure about… “You can’t help who you fall in love with, but you CAN help who you spend time with,” the expecting mother of one wrote to open her polarizing caption. Continued Audrey, in confusing fashion: Be careful spending too much time with someone you don’t see yourself marrying because you just might fall in love with them…. And falling in love with someone you don’t see yourself marrying only ends in hurt. Guard your heart so that you can give it undividedly to your future husband. You would want him to do the same for you. Just… weird, right? For starters: What, exactly, is the difference between falling in love with someone and finding someone you want to marry? In what sort of situation would a man or woman fall in love with someone, and yet also know for certain he or she would not want to marry this person? Secondly, what’s the matter with simply dating for the sake of dating? For the sake of having fun? For the sake of learning something about yourself? Or of discovering what you want out of a long-term partner? We aren’t the only ones who reacted to Audrey’s message with these questions and issues. The following comment sums it up well: OR how about single women enjoy the single life without making marriage the end goal? Fall in love multiple times, learn, grow, find out what you don’t like and what you do, have fun, experience new things, have a LIFE that does not revolve around marriage and kids. I feel bad for women like you who don’t seem to have any other identity besides a wife and a mother. Don’t put that onto other women just because it’s what you wanted. Audrey likely does mean well by offering up this advice. As others have noted in the past, however, she’s only been married for five years . Is she really in a position to be giving such broad advice to all “single ladies,” as Audrey herself writes in this controversial caption? Should she really be telling anyone how to lock in a godly husband ? Jeremy and Audrey are parents to an adorable two-year old named Ember. They are expecting a son in early January and, like we previously said, they appear to be very content with each other — which is fanastic! We aren’t judging their relationship at all, merely whether Audrey should be dishing out advice to others based purely on her own belief system. “I love growing with you, working with you, playing with you, learning with you, dreaming with you, adventuring with you, and I love loving you,” Audrey wrote to her husband a month ago, adding: “I’m so honored to live this life alongside you. I’m inspired by who you are and who you are becoming and so grateful that you’re my best friend.” View Slideshow: Audrey Roloff Shares Gender Reveal Pics: It’s a Boy!
As expected the last chapter on Nipsey Hussle’s story has yet to be written. It is has been confirmed his life will soon be captured in book form. HipHopDX is reporting that a biography on the slain MC is in production. Penned by former Vibe Magazine editor Rob Kenner, The Marathon Don’t Stop: The Life and Times of Nipsey Hussle intends to detail his come up from growing up in the streets of Crenshaw to becoming of the most beloved rappers of our generation. “The last time I spoke with Nipsey Hussle, he told me, ‘I ain’t outside giving out jewelry or dropping off bags of money on people, but I’m giving out game,’” Kenner told Complex . “This book is my attempt to help fulfill that intention” Kenner also shared how he intends to the “Racks In The Middle” rapper’s contributions in and outside of the booth. “ The Marathon Don’t Stop will also place his accomplishments in proper historical context, giving Nipsey Hussle his rightful place in the history of hip-hop, Los Angeles, and America. It will include interviews with people who haven’t spoken before, as well as insights into the forces that shaped Hussle into the man he became.” The Marathon Don’t Stop is currently scheduled for a March 24, 2020 release. It will be published by Atria Books. Photo: Bernard Smalls
Imagine having Farrah Abraham for a mom. Or, it that thought experiment is too terrifying for a Friday, just take a good long look at the life of Sophia Abraham. Sophia's been in the spotlight literally since the day she was born, and while many hoped she might be able to enjoy a somewhat normal childhood after Farrah got fired from Teen Mom OG , that hasn't turned out to be the case. In fact, the problem of overexposure seems to have gotten worse, as Farrah drags the 10-year-old to red carpet events all over the world, as though Sophia is some sort of a fashion accessory. And now, it seems that fishbowl existence is beginning to have a major impact on the young girl's mindset. Take a look: 1. Like Mother, Like Daughter Very few 10-year-olds spend as much time posing for selfies and attending red carpet events as Sophia Abraham. 2. The Team To be fair, Farrah’s daughter does seem to enjoy all the attention — but that observation comes with two caveats: 3. Too Much, Too Soon For one, even if she likes it, showering a 10-year-old with constant praise and attention from adults — most of them strangers — is probably not a good thing. 4. Farrah’s Version On top of that, the only insight we gain into Sophia’s experience is filtered through Farrah, so naturally, we’re given the impression that she’s living every child’s dream. 5. Sophia’s Choice And so, despite how much time she spends in the public eye, it’s still very difficult to tell exactly what’s going on with Sophia. 6. Learning From the Past But we know from many prior examples that child stars often find it difficult to navigate the road to adolescence. And at least those poor kids didn’t have Farrah freakin’ Abraham for a mother. View Slideshow
Source: Black Radiance True Complexion Deep To Dark Contour Palette / Courtesy of Black Radiance I’ve been on a no-foundation kick for about a year now. I really only wear it for major events or on camera appearances (if that). Recently, I hosted a panel at CurlFest Atlanta and had my makeup done by @LahLuvie (whom I HIGHLY recommend if you ever need your makeup done in Atlanta). Source: Arkeedah McCormick / Courtesy of Danielle James She had me looking like a STAR and I can’t lie, that I began craving that look. I’m currently in Africa and was attending a friend’s private movie screening and wanted to just give my face some extra love. I packed the Black Radiance True Complexion Deep To Dark Palette ($8.49, blackradiancebeauty.com ) and decided to give it a try. Source: Black Radiance True Complexion Deep To Dark Contour Palette / Courtesy of Black Radiance The palette is a powder palette and I’m not an expert at contouring. I was a little nervous to mess up; however, I decided to walk boldly into beauty. The first step I did was apply all my skincare products. After I let those settle in, I then applied my foundation. After my foundation, I applied some concealer under my eyes and blended in to help disguise my dark circles that were the result of some serious jet lag. Now it was time to use the palette. Contouring is great for when you want to help create some symmetry to your face or even slim out certain areas. The palette instructs you with an easy to follow application guide where to apply the contour, sculpt and highlight. This was helpful because as earlier mentioned, I’m not a contour queen. I suggest using a beauty blender, my personal favorite is founded by a Black woman, The Makeup Bullet ($25.00, amazon.com ). It comes 3 in a pack. I’ve been using them since about 2016. A beauty blender will help because if you are a bit heavy handed like me, it gives the opportunity for you to blend in your mistakes (I did this frequently). The Makeup Bullet is like a finger sponge, so it also helps with control and has a great pointed tip. Source: Danielle James / Courtesy of Danielle James I found the contour powder to be a bit dark at first; however, once I blended it in, it really created a beautiful look. Source: Danielle James / Courtesy of Danielle James The highlight is my absolute favorite and is even prettier upon application that it is in the palette. I started using it as well on days I didn’t contour but just wanted to glow. Source: Danielle James / Courtesy of Danielle James I was impressed with the overall look when I was done. I added some Kiss Lashes in Lacey ($6.99, kissusa.com ) and stepped back to admire my final beat! If I do say so myself, my makeup looked (almost) professionally done! I received a ton of compliments! Another thing, is that this easy to use guide helps the process not take so long. I think the contouring step took me all of 10 minutes (and this was my first try). I set the look with Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray ($33.00, sephora.com ) and mixed Fenty Beauty Stunna Lip Paint in Unveil ($24.00, sephora.com ) and Unbutton ($24.00, sephora.com ) to create a pinky chocolate nude look. I was ready for a night out! I give this palette five stars. The quality seems more expensive than the price tag and I was extremely happy with the final look. If you like to contour, you need to add this palette to your life! Source: Black Radiance True Complexion Light To Medium Contour Palette / Courtesy of Black Radiance For my lighter complexion beauties, the palette also comes in a light to medium option ($8.49, blackradiancebeauty.com ). I love that they offer two options for Black women. Beauties, have you tried this palette? Tell me in the comment section! If you do use it, share your look with me on Instagram by tagging me or DM’ing me @TheIslanDiva. I want to see! Another month, another piece of evidence that Tristan Thompson thinks that he’ll win back Khloe if he just acts thirsty enough. This time, he’s being openly horny about Khloe’s body on Instagram. Most of Khloe’s fans are telling him to get lost, while a few seem to be encouraging him. But what does Khloe think? Khloe Kardashian has always been beautiful, but she’s spent a sizable chunk of the past decade making sure thta she’s also hot. She’s obsessed with her fitness routine, and the results really speak for themselves. It’s not unusual for her to be bombarded with thirsty comments on Instagram. That’s what thirst traps are supposed to attract. But one of the horny reply guys caught up in the mix is Tristan Thompson, her disgraced cheater of a baby daddy. Tristan has been barking up her tree, commenting with a pair of fire emojis and the word “Fit.” Khloe’s fans fear that Tristan’s horny-on-main behavior can only mean one thing: the two are hooking up again. “The sad thing is they are probably back together.” one fan laments. Another chimes in, writing: “I think so too. He wouldn’t be commenting so often.” “I really hope she’s smarter than this,” another expresses. That same fan adds: “But if not I then I won’t feel sorry for her when he screws her over next time. She deserves better than him.” Others didn’t give in to despair and instead accessed their anger at Tristan and really let him have it. “Just Stop,” one follower demands of the professional athlete. “I see what you’re doing here weasel.” another vehemently accuses. “You better leave her be,” insists another. “She looks great…without you in the pic.” Another fans imply declared that Tristan is a “Thirsty MF.” If you can imagine, there are people out in this hellworld who are actually encouraging Tristan to do even more to win back Khloe. “So are you going to ask her out or what?” one Instagram user, who presumably just hates Khloe, asks. “Go get your girl back! Love wins!” another declares absurdly. “Nothing happens overnight,” “Get your girl back,” another comments. Which one? “IDK why but I think Khloe still loves Tristan,” yet another speculates. Whether Khloe still loves Tristan on some level is almost irrelevant at this point. What matters is whether she knows better. We hope that the answer is yes. It wasn’t enough for Tristan to very publicly cheat on Khloe with multiple women while she was pregnant. The scandal broke the day before she went into labor with True. No, he had to not only worm his way back into her life, but then cheat on her again, acting as if a few months of playing Mister Good Guy was enough. Is Tristan really tring to get back with Khloe? Maybe. He doesn’t seem like a person who understands what he wants. He’s rich, famous, and crazy hot. If he wants a harem, or simply a wife who doesn’t give a flip if he cheats, he can have those things. But he can’t have Khloe and still cheat. He just can’t. And as horny for Khloe as he is right now, if she took him back again, he’d once again find his eyes — and penis — straying to other gals. Source: Eric McCandless / Getty Demi Lovato Responds To Backlash Over Her Trip To Israel Demi Lovato recently posted about a “spiritual” vacation she took to Israel, being transparent about the fact that she was offered a free trip in exchange for posting about her experience. After making several posts about her experiences abroad, some fans weren’t happy with the photos and the fact that she went to Israel in the first place, accusing the singer of taking a political stance in the midst of the ongoing Israel and Palestine conflict. Because of the backlash, the singer turned off the comments on her Instagram page. View this post on Instagram I am an American singer. I was raised Christian and have Jewish ancestors. When I was offered an amazing opportunity to visit the places I’d read about in the Bible growing up, I said yes. There is something absolutely magical about Israel. I’ve never felt such a sense of spirituality or connection to God…something I’ve been missing for a few years now. Spirituality is so important to me…to be baptized in the Jordan river – the same place Jesus was baptized – I’ve never felt more renewed in my life. This trip has been so important for my well-being, my heart, and my soul. I’m grateful for the memories made and the opportunity to be able to fill the God-sized hole in my heart. Thank you for having me, Israel A post shared by Demi Lovato (@ddlovato) on Oct 1, 2019 at 2:48pm PDT After that, she took to her instagram stories to apologize for her ignorance on the subject, complaining that nobody told her there would be any problem with her trip before going. “No one told me there would be anything wrong with going or that I could possible be offending anyone. With that being said, I’m sorry if I’ve hurt or offended anyone, that was not my intention” she explained. The singer continued, “Sometimes people present you with opportunities and no one tells you the potential backlash you could face in return. This was meant to be a spiritual experience for me, NOT A POLITICAL STATEMENT and now I realize it hurt people and for that I’m sorry. Sorry I’m not more educated, and sorry for thinking this trip was just a spiritual experience.” Demi Lovato apologizes for Israel trip after critics accused her of taking a political stance amid the country's ongoing conflict w/ Palestine: “This was meant to be a spiritual experience for me, NOT A POLITICAL STATEMENT & now I realize it hurt people and for that I'm sorry.” pic.twitter.com/s6HsvdUACX — Pop Crave (@PopCrave) October 3, 2019 Beyond her apology though, Demi doesn’t seem to actually take any responsibility for the backlash herself and has taken to several IG comment sections to reprimand her fans for holding her accountable in the first place. After one fanpage said that Lovato didn’t deserve backlash and used the hashtag #WeloveyouDemi, she commented back, saying, “or how about y’all stop having to make hashtags saying you love me every time you realize your words effect me?” In another comment, she threatens her fanbase with leaving social media, writing, “Oh don’t worry, you guys made me feel terrible about it, and prob will continue to do so. I’ll be hibernating.” im so glad i don't stan demi I would have a panic attack probably every day pic.twitter.com/3Yub03pzTl — Zoë (@vogueinq) October 3, 2019 Beside the fact that Demi probably should have done a little research herself on whether or not visiting Israel was a good look, her apology definitely doesn’t seem too sincere when followed up by a bunch of comments blaming her fan pages for making her feel bad. Moral of the story: if you’re offered something for free, like…say, a trip to Israel, there’s probably a catch.

The former cop was just handed down a 10-year sentence by a Dallas jury after hearing character witnesses from both sides and deliberating. Her victim Botham Jean’s friends and family told the jury he was a “natural leader” and added that his 28th birthday would’ve been this Sunday. “My life has not been the same,” Botham’s mom Allison Jean told the jury. ““It’s just been like a roller coaster. I can’t sleep, I cannot eat. It’s just been the most terrible time for me.” Guyger was facing anywhere between 5 years to a life sentence. This isn’t the outcome we hoped for at all. Meanwhile, Botham Jean’s very saved and sanctified brother had some encouraging words to send Amber Guyger’s way before HUGGING her multiple times. “The best would be to give your life to Christ,” said Botham Jean’s brother. “I love you as a person, and I don’t wish anything bad on you. “I don’t know if this is possible, but can I give her a hug, please?” BREAKING: In stunning moment, Botham Jean's brother embraces Amber Guyger after her sentencing for his brother's murder. “I don't even want you to go to jail.
