Vulture has premiered the new key art for Glee ‘s sophomore season and the slushee-wielding cast seems sassier than ever. Still, is there more here than meets the eye? Here are five observations about the gang’s new year that can be gleaned from this heavily-Photoshopped yearbook spread:

Good News: There Will Be a Glee Audition Show. Bad News: It’s on Oxygen

Just a week after Fox pulled the plug on a new reality series that critics had nicknamed So You Think You Can Be On Glee — a project showcasing worldwide auditions for Ryan Murphy’s song-and-dance series — Oxygen has decided to repurpose the discarded project for its own cable lineup. Still, for the telegenic and musically gifted actors between the age of 16 and 26 who remain interested, there are a few catches about Oxygen’s latest unscripted foray that you may want to hear before taping another audition video.

Movieline Forecasts Glee’s Second-Season Character Arcs

To paraphrase The Treasure of the Sierra Madre : Cliffhangers? Glee don’t need no stinkin’ cliffhangers! The season finale of America’s current obsession felt like a series finale with the way it neatly wrapped up all the plot strands that had accumulated throughout the season: New Directions was canceled, but then saved; Rachel and Finn got back together; Quinn had her baby and gave it away; Other Asian had a line of dialogue. Where can the show go from here?! Movieline breaks out the crystal ball and predicts what lies ahead for the denizens of William McKinley High School.

Gleebasing: Somewhere Over the Rainbow, Skies Are Schue

After overdosing on sentimentality last night, I’ve decided to check into a Glee habilitation clinic for the summer. The offshoot of the Promises program provides a safe environment devoid of primary colors, where Schoenberg’s atonal compositions ring out across the campus all day and night, and all inspiring messages about the value of our differences have to be checked at the door (along with any shoestrings or Hall & Oates albums). It will be hard, but I was driven to this by last night’s season finale schmaltz binge, “Journey.” Let’s relive the highs and shiver through the lows, and for the last time this season, there will be a pop quiz.

Today in Michael Bay: When an Underweight Megan Fox and TMNT Collide

You know what they say: When life throws you Megan Fox and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles stories, make a Michael Bay update. Psych! I totally made that up! Never mind. Read on, however, for the odd news confluence that has necessitated a brief check-up on the Emperor.

Late Night Highlights: Katherine Heigl Gets Emotional with Jay and Ben Kingsley Auditions For Transformers 3

Last night Katherine Heigl made her first appearance on the Tonight Show since 1995, when the struggling actress shamelessly entertained Jay Leno with her lawnmower dance move to promote Under Siege 2 . Sadly for viewers though, Leno passed up the hilarious clip reel in favor of good-old fashioned talking points — talking points that were meant to elicit funny anecdotes, but instead led to the Killers actress choking up while discussing the death of her brother. Click through to see how Jay Leno handled the unexpected emotion, as well as the other highlights you missed last night while mourning The Tyra Banks Show .

Gleebasing: Lady Gaga Meets Pseudo-Vampires

Let’s hear it for Ryan Murphy, who did the impossible in last night’s installment of Glee . He filmed the single best scene of Mike O’M alley’s career, produced a Grammy-worthy remix of an already Grammy-worthy song (“Bad Romance”) and convinced Cory Monteith to wear a rubber dress. Just give him his Emmy already. After the jump, Movieline assesses the highs and lows from last night’s episode and awards bonus points for the best Lady Gaga tribute costumes.

Crimes Against Fashion(ista): Kate Moss Burgled!

You know if this happened to Naomi Campbell, we’d have a bad case of street justice on our hands. Instead, it was the unlucky Kate Moss whose London home was burgled around 4 a.m….
