Once Upon a Time Stunner: Who’s Out?

There is one episode remaining on Once Upon a Time season 6. And, on a related note, there is also just one episode remaining for Jennifer Morrison as a lead character on Once Upon a Time. The actress has announced she’s leaving the show. Now, one important caveat to keep in mind is this: ABC is yet to renew Once Upon a Time beyond this season. Many fans have anticipated for many weeks now that Once Upon a Time Season 6 Episode 21 (titled “The Final Battle”) will mark the conclusion of the beloved drama. And now we have an even stronger reason to believe this will be the case.  Still, long-time followers of the program are reacting with sadness to Morrison’s announcement. “As I reached the end of my 6 year contract on ONCE UPON A TIME, I was faced with a significant decision,” the star wrote on Instagram this morning, adding: “ABC, Eddy Kitsis, and Adam Horowitz very generously invited me to continue as a series regular. After very careful consideration, I have decided that creatively and personally, it is time for me to move on.” Morrison has anchored the series as Emma Swan since the premiere. She concluded her statement as follows: Emma Swan is one my favorite characters that I have ever played. My 6 years on ONCE UPON A TIME has changed my life in the most beautiful ways. I am absolutely blown away by the passion and commitment of the Oncer fans. I am so honored to have been a central part of such a special show. I will be forever grateful to Adam, Eddy, and ABC for giving me the gift of playing Emma Swan. It’s also worth noting that simply because Morrison is leaving, this doesn’t mean she’s leaving her fan base high and dry forever. The actress promised loyal Once Upon a Time viewers that she’ll continue to make appearances at fan conventions whenever she can. “As I move on to other creative endeavors, I will continue to attend the fan conventions whenever my professional schedule allows,” she wrote. “I always look forward meeting the fans.” Finally, if ABC does , indeed, pick the show up for a seventh season, Morrison is willing to return and wrap up her character’s storyline. “If ABC Network does in fact order a season 7, I have agreed to appear in one episode, and I will most certainly continue to watch ONCE UPON A TIME,” she assured fans. “The creativity of the show runners has always inspired me, and I cannot wait to see the ways that they continue to develop and reinvent the show.” View Slideshow: 13 TV Shows Ending In 2017 NOTE to ABC: Do not pick up Once Upon a Time for Season 7. The show lost its creative juice about two years ago and Morrison’s announcement here ought to serve as a final nail in its coffin. It’s been a great ride. But it ought to end now.

Jennifer Morrison Knows How To Dress

Apparently Miley Cyrus wasn’t the only hottie to show up to the Myspace party, because they also managed to get names like Francesca Eastwood , Dianna Agron , Karen Gillan , Abigail Spencer , Vanessa Hudgens , Jamie Chung , Tara Reid , Ashley Tisdale , Olivia Wilde , Amy Smart , and Jojo . I guess they must be the last few celebrity hotties still with Myspace pages. Anyway, out of all of them though, Jennifer Morrison was my favorite. Granted, it’s not quite as good as what she wore to the Billboard Music Awards , but this girl obviously knows how to dress. The others should take note. » view all 42 photos Photos: WENN.com

Jennifer Morrison Just Blew My Mind!

Out of all the hotties that were at the Billboard Music Awards, I think Jennifer Morrison just might be my favorite, for obvious reasons. I’m not sure if I’ve ever done a post on her before, I started looking through the archives but didn’t make it very far before I stopped to just look at these pictures again. Anyway, if I have, I’d like to officially welcome Jennifer back and ask if she’d like to join me for a quick motorboating session later. And if I haven’t, we’ll just skip ahead to the motorboating part. What do you say, Jennifer? » view all 21 photos

Born Chloe Anthony Wofford, in 1931 in Lorain, Ohio, the second of four children in a black working-class family, Toni Morrison displayed an early interest in literature. She studied humanities at Howard and Cornell Universities, followed by an academic career at Texas Southern University, Howard University, Yale, and since 1989, a chair at Princeton University. She has also worked as an editor for Random House, a critic, and given numerous public lectures, specializing in African-American literature. She made her debut as a novelist in 1970, soon gaining the attention of both critics and a wider audience for her epic power, unerring ear for dialogue, and her poetically charged and richly expressive depictions of Black America. A member since 1981 of the American Academy of Arts and Letters, she has been awarded a number of literary distinctions, among them the Pulitzer Prize in 1988. Rutgers Pays “Jersey Shore” Star More Than Toni Morrison To Appear

See the rest here:

Rutgers University paid Jersey Shore’s “Snooki” more money than Pulitzer Prize-winning author Toni Morrison to make an appearance at the school. While Snooki received $32,000 on Thursday to speak to students, Morrison was paid $30,000 to deliver the school’s commencement address in May. Though Morrison was booked by university officials, Snooki was invited by a student-run committee, using the money from mandatory activity fees undergraduates must pay with their tuition. Asked to give advice to Rutgers students, Snooki said, “Study hard, but party harder.” 30 MORE Black Women You Should Know About Terry McMillan Apologizes For Claiming Smith Kids Are Being “Pimped” [UPDATE]

Gwyneth Paltrow To Duet With Matthew Morrison On His Debut Album

The ‘Country Strong’ star and the ‘Glee’ actor have recorded a version of ‘Over the Rainbow’ for his upcoming release. By Aly Semigran Gwyneth Paltrow and Matt Morrison Photo: GETTY/ Michael Tran Holly Holliday will be making sweet music with Will Schuester once more. Translating from Gleek speak, Oscar-winning-actress-turned-singing-staple Gwyneth Paltrow will be crooning yet another number with Matthew Morrison. Entertainment Weekly reports that Paltrow will appear on Morrison’s upcoming solo album, which is due out on May 10. On “Glee,” recurring guest Paltrow — who plays flaky substitute teacher Holliday — has covered Fleetwood Mac’s “Landslide,” Cee Lo Green’s “Forget You” and Prince’s “Kiss,” the latter of which she performed with Morrison’s Mr. Schue. Now, the Golden Globe-nominated Morrison is having the “Country Strong” star help him out on his debut record, on a tune that’s become almost synonymous with his “Glee” character: “Over the Rainbow.” As Morrison told EW, “People kind of know me for that song now.” The Broadway-trained actor not only used the timeless “Wizard of Oz” number for his “Glee” audition, but also sang it with co-star Mark Salling (who released his own solo effort, Pipe Dreams , in 2010) during the season 1 finale — both times accompanying himself on ukulele. “I wanted to do a duet with a female. I thought that was a good song to do, and we really did a different arrangement of it,” Morrison explained about the version he recorded for his album. “It’s a lot of strings, and it’s beautiful.” Morrison admitted that he felt nervous about approaching Paltrow to see if she’d participate in the recording. “The hardest part of doing this album was asking these people favors, like Elton [John] and her,” he said. “I’m so not that guy.” In addition to Paltrow and John, Morrison also has ‘NSYNC member JC Chasez lined up for a duet on a song titled “Dancing in the Rain.” While there’s no word yet on who, if any, of his “Glee” castmates will appear on the record — both had championed to get their own duets on the album — co-star Jenna Ushkowitz has already been singing its praises . Ushkowitz, who plays glee-club member Tina Cohen-Chang on the show, told MTV News on the red carpet of the Screen Actors Guild Awards in January, “His music is really great.” She went on to say that Morrison “made his own sound” on the album, while adding that it was “a little bit of Justin Timberlake … [and] symphonic-sounding.” Morrison has yet to announce a title for album, though the actor did reveal to MTV News at Clive Davis’ post-Grammy bash in February that ” My Name ” has been considered as a possibility.
