Meghan Markle & Prince Harry’s Son: Why Won’t He Receive a Royal Title?

It’s been less than a week since Meghan Markle welcomed her first child , but already, little Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor has stirred up a controversy as big as his nine-syllable name. First, there’s the name itself, which many are interpreting as Meghan and Harry’s way of giving the middle finger to their British haters . And then there’s the fact that a crucial honorific seems to be missing from the little bloke’s lengthy moniker. Yes, as you may have noticed, there’s no “prince” in front of little Archie’s name. If, like us, you’re some sort of ignorant American rube, you may have assumed that such titles are simply a matter of heredity — Harry was a prince, so it stands to reason that his son would be as well. But it turns out there are no hard-and-fast rules for this sort of thing. There are several reasons why Lil Arch might be forced to go through life with a regular-ass peasant name, and even though we may never know the truth, pundits peddling their wares in the age of hot takes are very pissed off about two of the possibilities. For starters, it’s possible that the Queen denied Archie a title due to his American parentage. Of course, even the people who proposed that possibility have mostly acknowledged that it would be wildly out of character for QE2. Which is perhaps how we wound up with the theory that it’s all Prince William’s doing. As you’re probably aware, Will has become the resident villain of Kensington Palace in recent weeks, thanks largely to rumors of his affair with Rose Hanbury . As a result, some folks are under the impression that Will appealed to his grandmother to deny Archie a title on the grounds that he’s seventh in line for the throne, and will, therefore, spend his life as a “minor royal,” on par with Prince Andrew’s kids. It would be the latest volley in the supposedly ongoing feud between William and Harry — but it would also be pretty damn implausible. But those theorists are on to something in one sense: Archie will be a minor royal, which is why the most likely theory holds that Meghan and Harry decided their child should not have a royal title. “The fact that they have chosen not to use a title suggests they want this baby to have a relatively ordinary life,” royal historian Professor Kate Williams tells Vanity Fair.  “When Archie is older he will likely have to go out and get a job. “He will be a minor royal and will have to be prepared for a life of work. If the Commonwealth becomes a smaller entity, there will be less work for the royals overseas.” But that’s not to say that Archie will be anything less than an essential and widely beloved member of the royal family in his adult years: “He is the Queen’s first biracial grandchild,” says Professor Williams. “This is a historically important baby. He affects a multicultural bridge.” This may not be exactly how a famed royal historian would put it, but that trumps the hell out of any lame-ass title. Paola Mayfield Defends "Rights" of Anti-Vaxxers, Horrifies Fans

We all love Paola Mayfield. We stand by her when she’s mom-shamed by morons over her outfits or for taking breastfeeding pics. But the 90 Day Fiance: Happily Ever After? star has made a statement that even her most devoted fans are struggling to defend. Pao is using her platform to champion the “rights” of anti-vaxxers to endanger their own children and countless others. Oh no. … Paola was asked what she thinks of anti-vaxxers and, taking to her Instagram Story, she shared her alarming opinion. “They have the right to choose what they want,” Paola asserts. “And,” she insists, they have a “right to do “what they feel is safe for their loved ones.” Astoundingly, Pao even thinks that these plague enthusiasts should be allowed to do so “without being judged!” That’s a hard no, Paola. Paola then does her best to convince her fans and followers that she is not speaking of herself, here. “I’m not anti-vax,” Paola claims. She has said this in the past, but the truth is … complicated, as we will explain. “But believe me,” Paola writes. “I will do my research before putting something in my little one!” On top of everything else, her use of the word research is drawing some unflattering responses. A couple of months ago, Paola was mom-shamed for vaccinating baby Axel . It was the correct thing to do and the responsible thing for her to do. Backlash from people prone to hysteria and vulnerable to misinformation campaigns was expected, unfortunately. But some of the ire wasn’t over Pao and Russ’ decision to vaccinate — not exactly. Some 90 Day Fiance fans were concerned because Paola noted that Russ had been reading a discredited book by a noted anti-vaxxer. At the time, Paola said that she and Russ would pick and choose which vaccines baby Axel would receive and when he would receive them. Spacing out vaccines against a doctor’s advice can endanger your child, especially in this era of outbreaks. And skipping some vaccinations without a medical justification? You know how you’re always supposed to take the entire round of antibiotics, even if you start feeling better? It’s like that. Unless there’s a pressing medical reason otherwise — like, one confirmed by your child’s actual doctor — you can’t just pick and choose. Medicine is not a buffet. Paola is a smart woman, and she’s been very careful about not giving specifics about her plans for Axel. But by expressing support for anti-vaxxers, she is making a clear statement: She values the feelings of anti-vaxxers more than the actual, real life safety of their children and of other children. You know how you don’t have to be a nazi to help the alt right — you just have to defend their right to advocate genocide? Well, anti-vaxxers are the same way. You can’t suppor their “right” to do harm in a vacuum. While we’re mentioning politics, we should note that there isn’t a clear political association with anti-vaxxers. They seem to be an alarming 10% of the population and are represented by only a few more percentage points on the conservative side. That’s a testament to Horseshoe Theory but also a glaring idictment of our education system. Real talk: children with cancer, compromised immune systems, or certain rare allergies cannot be vaccinated. Those kids need to be surrounded by people who cannot be carriers so that they will not die . Vaccinations are not a personal choice because they impact others. We love Pao, but she’s just wrong about this. View Slideshow: Paola Mayfield Mom-Shamed by Morons Over Breastfeeding Pic

Black Royalty: Miss USA, Miss Teen USA & Miss America Sit Down Together To Dish On Their Groundbreaking Wins [Video]

Source: Tetra Images / Getty Miss USA, Miss Teen USA & Miss America Explain Their Achievements On ‘CBS This Morning’ The history-making Black queens of America are ready for their close-ups with their on-camera appearance on CBS This Morning. For the first time, Miss USA, Miss Teen USA, and Miss America are all Black women and the three appeared on CBS to describe their journey and groundbreaking wins: “It’s symbolic, I think, and it sends a message across the world really that you can be anything you want to be, and there doesn’t have to be just one of us at a time up here,” Miss America 2019 Nia Franklin said on Tuesday. “It can be all. And I think it showcases diversity as well.” Cheslie Kryst, who won the title of Miss USA last Thursday also added, “It’s also a reminder of how far we have to go.” She continued: “I believe when Ursula Burns was no longer the CEO of Xerox, there were no more Black female CEOs of Fortune 500 companies and that is an unfortunate statistic to know. So I think this celebration or this landmark should we celebrated, but it’s also a reminder we have a lot to do.” Kryst currently serves as an attorney in North Carolina who practices civil litigation, and she also represents prisoners in pro-bono work. Miss Teen USA Kaliegh Garris , who ignored advice and proudly showcased her natural curls during the competition, also explained how representation matters: “I have all these influencers that I look up to on social media. Now I’m getting messages from moms of biracial kids, and kids themselves that are biracial. And girls that are scared to wear their hair naturally, and them saying that I have been a big influence in their lives and that they’re going to start wearing their hair naturally or that they’re more proud to just be themselves. It fills my heart with joy,” Garris said. Garris explained how she used to always straighten her hair for pageants: “It’s just kind of what I did. I looked up to my mom a lot, and she had straight blond hair. I really wanted to embody the same characteristics and I thought I had to do that physically. But as I grew up, I realized I can do that while being myself and still be powerful,” she said. You can watch more of what the icons had to say in the clip below!

True Story: Woman Discovers Rogue IUD In Her Abdomen 11 Years After Suspect Doctor Visit

Source: skynesher / Getty An Ohio woman is making weird news headlines all over the nation after she lived with an IUD in her abdomen for over a decade. Back in 2007, Melinda Nichols decided she was done having babies and had the intrauterine device inserted…but weeks later, it was nowhere to be found. The New York Post reports: “In late 2007, Melinda Nichols of Chillicothe, Ohio, decided she had delivered her last child. She’d already tried the pill and a form of the Depo-Provera shot without success. So, a few weeks after her youngest son’s birth, she opted for the Mirena intrauterine device (IUD), a semi-permanent form of hormonal birth control. Nichols returned to the doctor who performed the insertion for a follow-up just a couple weeks later. She was told a routine X-ray would be taken to make sure her IUD was in the same place her doctor had left it. The X-ray showed no IUD.” According to the report, the doctor told her the IUD “fell out,” at which point she asked “Wouldn’t that be something I would have seen?” The suspect doc “assured her it can happen without notice, and suggested she get another one. Frustrated, she made the final call to have a tubal ligation instead,” NY Post states. Over a decade later, Nichols had another abdominal x-ray done after straining her back at work. “You need to call your OB,” the doctor told her, according to the site, adding “Your IUD is in a weird spot.” “Her X-ray showed that the implant had apparently punctured through the cervix and migrated up the abdominal cavity. Nichols was understandably baffled,” NY Post goes on. Apparently, this may have occurred due to an insertion by an inexperienced practitioner: “Dr. Stephen Chasen, a maternal-fetal medicine specialist at Weill Cornell Medicine & NewYork-Presbyterian, says IUD ‘migration’ happens due to ‘perforation’ of the uterine wall. This may occur during the insertion process thanks to an inexperienced practitioner. Or, the IUD may “erode” through the uterus and end up floating somewhere in the abdomen. This happens to about one out of every 1,000 IUD patients.” Last month, Nichols went in to have the IUD removed via laparoscopy. “Using snaking cameras and robotic arms, surgeons explored her lower organs in search of the rogue implant,” according to the NY Post. Click here to see a photo of the IUD in question and let us know, after reading this, what your preferred method of birth control will be…because whew, chile. To Serve & Terrorize: Notorious NYPD Sergeant Is Sued AGAIN For Catastrophic Raid

Source: Spencer Platt / Getty One New York Resident Gives A Chilling Account Another moment of police terror reportedly went down in New York last year, and now a resident of the city is taking action. According to New York Daily News , a Brooklyn cop, who’s been accused of years of civil rights violations and false arrests, is once again being sued for excessive conduct. Evelyn Gonzalez, 51, who works as a security guard is accusing Sgt. David (Bellethead) Grieco of carrying out an early-morning raid at her Brownsville apartment, then arresting her and a family friend Tray Stroman, 27, on trumped-up charges that were dropped before they even got a chance to appear before a judge. Gozalez has filed a notice of claim and according to their lawyer, if a settlement is not agreed upon, they will file a lawsuit in state court alleging wrongful arrest. The whole incident went down shortly after 7 a.m. on April 13, 2018 when Gonzalez was asleep in her room and Stroman, who works in a barbershop, was resting on the couch. Emergency Service cops tried to bust through the front door so one of Gonzalez’s four children, Joseph Cordova, 24, left from his bed to open it. That’s when police rushed in with Grieco and other officers having their guns drawn, according to Gonzalez and Stroman. Neither Gonzalez nor Storman have ever been arrested, however Cordova has been arrested ten times, including two cases that are still pending for possession of a knife and for possession of drugs. He was convicted in 2014 for weapons possession, for which he received five years probation. Cordova, who isn’t apart of the lawsuit, and his mother believe the raid was part of an ongoing attempt to harass Cordova, considering that past charges against him didn’t stick. The cops allegedly swept through the apartment, flipped a living room table, and broke two televisions AND a humidifier that Gonzalez needs for her asthma. The cops also allegedly rampaged through the kitchen, dumping coffee and oatmeal on the floor. “They even ate my bananas,” Gonzalez said. Stroman, who posts rap videos online, went on to say the cops plugged their phones into a speaker and listened to his music. “I’m like, ‘Is this a warrant for music?” Stroman said. “I was lost.” It’s not clear if the cops even had a warrant to search the apartment. Gonzalez said when she asked, the cop tried to use a restaurant flyer to pass as a warrant. Gonzalez and Stroman said Grieco continually asked about guns and drugs, indicating the cops were tipped off. However, no guns or narcotics were found. The police only focused on one marijuana joint in the living room and two in a bedroom. Cordova admitted that he does smoke marijuana. The nightmare continued after the raid when Gonzalez said that she, Cordova and Stroman were handcuffed and taken into custody. Gonzalez said she and Stroman spent around 18 hours in custody and she said the police didn’t even give her access to her medicine. When they finally got out, The Brooklyn District Attorney’s office declined to prosecute them. Cordova was charged with marijuana possession and possession of a forged credit card, but the case was adjourned and dismissed soon after. Gonzalez says when she got home, $800 was missing from a jacket in her closet – money she said she was saving for her two granddaughters. On top of all this, Gonzalez’s Brownsville apartment is covered by the 73rd Precinct, but they were taken to the 67th Precinct where Grieco is assigned. No one has yet to explain why Grieco was carrying out a raid in a precinct he wasn’t even assigned to, although investigations do often cross precinct lines. Grieco, 48, has a long history of being an ain’t sh** officer, including searching two homes without a warrant and being involved in a 2013 75th Precinct investigation. The anti-crime unit at the time was accused of illegal apartment searches and the theft of jewelry and thousands of dollars, according to court papers, Internal Affair docs and police sources. Over the years, Grieco has been the defendant in 29 lawsuits. But yet… This man is still on the force. Gonzalez’s and Stroman’s lawyer Joel Berger said, “For this cowboy to still be on the force is outrageous. He should have been terminated years ago. The fact that he hasn’t been is really indicative of the travesty the NYPD discipline system is.” Grieco is currently a sergeant who was one of NYPD’s top overtime earners in 2017. His $73,000 of extra pay upped his salary to $190,000 and last year he made $164,700. Out of the 29 lawsuits against Grieco, 16 of them were settled, costing the city more than half-million dollars.

#MarriedToMedicine Reunion Quad Denies Sleeping With Mariah’s Brother-In-Law

Source: Maruah Huq, Quad Webb / Getty Nice try! Ex-Friends Mariah And Quad Face Off During The “Married To Medicine” Reunion The “Married To Medicine” reunion is off to an EXPLOSIVE start and two former friends are eviscerating each other. Mariah Huq and Ms. Quad got into a nasty war of words during part one of the reunion after Dr. Heavenly called Mariah a liar for failing to produce those “receipts” about her husband’s cheating . That prompted Quad to agree and confront her ex-best friend for leaking a rumor that she slept with Mariah’s brother-in-law. “Just like you recently released that I slept with your sister’s husband — you did! — and you know damn well that I didn’t do that … I’m tired of her lying, and I’m gonna deal with this today, ‘cause it’s not gonna go into season seven!” says Quad. “You did actually!” says Mariah to Quad. “You were supposed to be my best friend and you slept with my sister’s husband! I walked into your home — you had on his t-shirt!” The report first came out via AllAboutTheTea  who released an extensive report and who Quad says is “sponsored” by Mariah. Fans are pointing out discrepancies in Mariah’s affair story—mainly that if Quad slept with her sister’s husband, why would Mariah (an EP for Married to Medicine”) have her cast on the show? Did you say stay lying!!! She sure in the hell does #lyingbootsdown #smh #Married2Med — Quad Webb-Lunceford (@AbsolutelyQuad) December 22, 2018 Quad’s firmly denying any and ALL allegations of an affair and pointed out on Instagram that her words on the reunion are the “realest thing she ever spoke.” Not only that she agreed with a fan in the comments section that Mariah’s story makes no sense. “All of a sudden you slept with the brother in law,” wrote the fan. “But she continued to be your best friend. That makes no sense to me. It smells like a pure lie.” “And was the matron of honor in my wedding with her mom and same sister there as witnesses,” replied Quad. “#SMDH She would say anything about me in an effort to make people think low of me and not like me. Just sad.” Who do YOU believe in the Mariah VS Quad “Married To Medicine” reunion drama???
