Now the comedian is talking about their relationship again, this time citing Whoopi’s reportedly inappropriately low salary on “The View.” Text “RICKEY” to 71007 to join the Rickey Smiley Morning Show mobile club for exclusive news.  ( Terms and conditions ). “When I get Whoopi Goldbergo n the flip saying f*** them little ones coming behind you. You better give a damn about you. That crushed me that day in her dressing room. Because Whoopi Goldberg told me the salary she makes from ‘The View.’ And that hurt my feelings. You’ve been there for 10 years and you accept them paying you that? And you’re telling me, ‘Don’t worry about the little one coming up? Damn if I ain’t gotta be worried about you too. Because you accept that salary, it makes it hard for me. And how hard do you think it’s gonna make for the one who ain’t here yet, because you accept that salary?” Mo told Comedian Hype. Nicole Nafziger Teases Her Own Show: I’ll PROVE Azan Really Loves Me!

Now that Nicole's family finally accepts Azan and their engagement, she has big plans for the future. But some 90 Day Fiance fans are less accepting, and continue to accuse Nicole of being a fool who's being led on. Others peddle conspiracy theories about why Azan hasn't been able to meet up with her in the US or even another country, like South Korea. Now, Nicole is going out of her way to set things straight. And she's also revealing how fans can follow her and Azan as their story continues — but it won't be on social media or on Happily Ever After? 1. Nicole Nafziger has BIG news! The 90 Day Fiance star took to her Instagram Stories to defend her romance with fiance Azan Tefou, but that’s not all that she had to say. 2. Nicole is on the defensive She is so, SO tired of people thinking that Azan is making a fool out of her or stringing her along. And don’t think that she can’t read between the lines — she knows that some of these haters not-so-subtly believe that Nicole’s weight means that a hot guy couldn’t really be interested. It is SO hateful. 3. She and Azan have a solid bond More solid, she argues, than plenty of the other relationships that her 90 Day Fiance castmates have had before getting married. We have to say … she has a real point. 4. But when will they actually be together? SOON. Nicole loves this word. It’s equally excited and ominous, depending upon context. In this case, “SOON” is very much excited … with just a touch of exhasperation over being repeatedly asked. 5. So why don’t they just try again for a K-1 visa? Azan hasn’t reapplied for a K-1 visa, which would allow him to come to the US for 90 days as her fiance, because they don’t expect a different result. They’ll need to wait for something to change before they roll the dice again — but they’ve come up with a new plan. 6. When will she at least go out to see him again? Nicole says that this is a secret. Notably, later in this very same Q&A, she gets a lot more specific. View Slideshow

Ellen Pompeo Defends Kelly Ripa, SLAMS Bachelorette Creator!

Sometimes, the feuds you never see coming turn out to be the most amusing ones. That’s certainly proving to be the case with the all-out war between Team Bachelorette and Team Kelly Ripa . Here’s a brief rundown, in case you’re not caught up on this escalating spat: Earlier this week, Ripa’s co-host, Ryan Seacrest, informed her that current Bachelorette star Hannah Brown would be appearing on their daytime talk show. This shouldn’t have come as a surprise, as Live! and The Bachelorette are both ABC properties, and it’s not uncommon for networks to fill airtime with this sort of synergistic cross-promotion. But Ripa was apparently caught off-guard, as she admitted she has no idea who Hannah is, and she is very much not a fan of The Bachelorette. “You guys, you know how I feel about the show, it disgusts me,” Ripa told her audience. “I can’t stand the idea of 25 exceptional women fighting over one ordinary fella, in my opinion,” she added. “You know how I feel, ladies, we are too special to be arguing over a guy.” From there, Ripa wagged a finger at her own audience, saying, “All of you women watch that gross, gross show.” Not surprisingly, the show’s creator, Mike Fleiss, was quick to clap back at Ripa with a tweet that many thought crossed the line into impropriety: “Easy, Kelly Ripa,” he wrote. “The Bachelor franchise pays your salary.” Ripa never responded to Fleiss’ provocation but her good friend Ellen Pompeo of Grey’s Anatomy fame entered the fray on her behalf: “Okay @fleissmeister… that’s some handle bro!” she tweeted. “Your show does NOT pay @KellyRipa salary. Also we don’t attack successful women on our network and men certainly cannot take credit for their success. Don’t get me started on your show cuz I’m a savage…. #bachelorsoooowhite.” “Took a break [from Twitter] but had to jump back in the ring for my girl @KellyRipa,” Pompeo later added. Pretty intense stuff. Surely, the woman at the center of all of this, Hannah Brown, must also have some harsh words for Ripa, right? Well … not so much. Brown appeared on Kelly and Ryan this morning , and while she may have sounded as though she were reading from a script prepared by some network PR goon, she maintained an amicable tone throughout. “Ultimately, it was one of the most empowering things that I ever have done because I had to push myself and grow as an individual,” Hannah said. “And I did. And I think that’s why I decided that I wanted to be the Bachelorette and wanted that so bad.” We suppose at the end of the day, shows like The Bachelorette are like beauty pageants — they may seem outdated and sexist to some, but isn’t it also sexist to tell the women who find fulfillment in them that they’re not allowed to participate? Anyway, the important thing is that there’s no beef between Kelly and Hannah — but this Ellen Pompeo vs. Mike Fleiss thing? That has potential!  View Slideshow: The Bachelorette Spoilers: Check Out Hannah Brown’s Final THREE! [UPDATED]

Chris Harrison Claps Back at Kelly Ripa: My "Disgusting" Shows Pay Your Salary!

Earlier this week,  Kelly Ripa offered her opinion on The Bachelorette — and the usually-bubbly morning show host did not hold back in her harsh assessment of ABC’s lucrative reality franchise. “You guys, you know how I feel about the show, it disgusts me,” Ripa said during Tuesday’s Live With Kelly and Ryan . “I can’t stand the idea of 25 exceptional women fighting over one ordinary fella, in my opinion,” she added. “You know how I feel, ladies, we are too special to be arguing over a guy.” Ripa then pointed the finger at her studio audience, blaming them for the show’s popularity. “All of you women watch that gross, gross show,” she said. It was The Bachelorette that prompted Ripa’s rant, but asked about The Bachelor, she stated her belief that the OG dating competition is “just as creepy.” “It’s all creepy,” Ripa concluded, summing up her thoughts on the long-running franchise. For obvious reasons, the show’s host, Chris Harrison, and creator, Mike Fleiss, were none too thrilled with Ripa’s remarks. And both took to Twitter to share their thoughts about their fellow ABC employee. Harrison was up first, and he went full scorched-earth by siccing his followers on Ripa: “Look out #BachelorNation Kelly Ripa is coming after you and your ‘disgusting’ Monday night habit,” he tweeted. Ripa never responded, but you can bet her mentions lit up like a Christmas tree after that one. Anyone who remembers Mike Fleiss’ feud with Khloe Kardashian knows that he’s not your typical showrunner. Fleiss once again cemented his place as one of the most outspoken figures in modern media when he suggested that Ripa wouldn’t have a job if it weren’t for him. “Easy, Kelly Ripa,” he wrote. “The Bachelor franchise pays your salary.” Harsh, but not without some basis in fact. After all, The Bachelor and The Bachelorette both draw audiences that are several larger than Ripa’s, and without such primetime juggernauts, the network would likely be forced to make some cuts. Sadly, current series star Hannah Brown has yet to speak out on Ripa’s commentary. Of course, with all the Bachelorette hot takes flying around this week, she certainly wouldn’t be able to respond to everything. No one can remain in Beast Mode at all times. This is a thorny debate, and if you find yourself wanting to know what happens on the show without actually tuning in, you can always check out our Bachelorette spoilers ! Chicago Police Launches Internal Investigation On Leaks In Jussie Smollett Case

Source: Scott Olson / Getty Spokesperson Claims Some Info Leaked To The Press Was “Not Factually Accurate” The always questionable Chicago Police Department is in the hot seat now that they’ve launched an internal investigation surrounding leaks in the Jussie Smollett case. Anthony Guglielmi , a spokesman for the CPD, confirmed with ABC News that the probe was launched last month “during the interrogation of the brothers when information leaked out,” referring to the two Osundairo brothers who investigators claim staged Smollet’s hate crime attack in January. Investigators are trying to determine who anonymously leaked important info about the case to the press. “I will also add that there were several agencies briefed with information during that time and some of the information that went out was not factually accurate,” Guglielmi told ABC News on Thursday. “These types of investigations are fairly common so that we can determine if we have any integrity issues for future cases.” In February, the CPD accused Jussie of staging his attack because he was “dissatisfied with his salary.” He now faces one count of felony disorderly conduct for filing a false police report which could carry a three years in prison sentence plus fines.

But according to Terrence Howard , that’s not for the public to decide. The Empire star shared a video on Instagram of giggly Smollett playing with Howard’s adorable baby boy. The caption read, All your lil homies got you… We love the hell outta you View this post on Instagram All your lil homies got you… We love the hell outta you . A post shared by Terrence Dashon Howard (@theterrencehoward) on Feb 23, 2019 at 4:44pm PST Folks in the comment section weren’t feeling Terrence’s support of his co-star. One follower replied, Seriously? You support that lying felon? Even though all the facts are out? If it was a White person staging a Black person, would you still support him? Typical liberal hypocrites. But of course Howard didn’t hold back… “Sorry you feel that way but that’s the only Jussie I know. The Jussie I know could never even conceive of something so unconscious and ugly. His innocence or judgment is not for any of us to decide. Stay in your lane and my lane is empathy and love and compassion for someone I’ve called my son for five years. It’s God’s job to judge and it’s ours to love and hope, especially for those that we claim to have loved.” Luscious may still have Jamal Lyon’s back — but according to reports , Jussie has been suspended from Empire after police say he faked his attack to boost his salary. To Serve & Terrorize: Notorious NYPD Sergeant Is Sued AGAIN For Catastrophic Raid

Source: Spencer Platt / Getty One New York Resident Gives A Chilling Account Another moment of police terror reportedly went down in New York last year, and now a resident of the city is taking action. According to New York Daily News , a Brooklyn cop, who’s been accused of years of civil rights violations and false arrests, is once again being sued for excessive conduct. Evelyn Gonzalez, 51, who works as a security guard is accusing Sgt. David (Bellethead) Grieco of carrying out an early-morning raid at her Brownsville apartment, then arresting her and a family friend Tray Stroman, 27, on trumped-up charges that were dropped before they even got a chance to appear before a judge. Gozalez has filed a notice of claim and according to their lawyer, if a settlement is not agreed upon, they will file a lawsuit in state court alleging wrongful arrest. The whole incident went down shortly after 7 a.m. on April 13, 2018 when Gonzalez was asleep in her room and Stroman, who works in a barbershop, was resting on the couch. Emergency Service cops tried to bust through the front door so one of Gonzalez’s four children, Joseph Cordova, 24, left from his bed to open it. That’s when police rushed in with Grieco and other officers having their guns drawn, according to Gonzalez and Stroman. Neither Gonzalez nor Storman have ever been arrested, however Cordova has been arrested ten times, including two cases that are still pending for possession of a knife and for possession of drugs. He was convicted in 2014 for weapons possession, for which he received five years probation. Cordova, who isn’t apart of the lawsuit, and his mother believe the raid was part of an ongoing attempt to harass Cordova, considering that past charges against him didn’t stick. The cops allegedly swept through the apartment, flipped a living room table, and broke two televisions AND a humidifier that Gonzalez needs for her asthma. The cops also allegedly rampaged through the kitchen, dumping coffee and oatmeal on the floor. “They even ate my bananas,” Gonzalez said. Stroman, who posts rap videos online, went on to say the cops plugged their phones into a speaker and listened to his music. “I’m like, ‘Is this a warrant for music?” Stroman said. “I was lost.” It’s not clear if the cops even had a warrant to search the apartment. Gonzalez said when she asked, the cop tried to use a restaurant flyer to pass as a warrant. Gonzalez and Stroman said Grieco continually asked about guns and drugs, indicating the cops were tipped off. However, no guns or narcotics were found. The police only focused on one marijuana joint in the living room and two in a bedroom. Cordova admitted that he does smoke marijuana. The nightmare continued after the raid when Gonzalez said that she, Cordova and Stroman were handcuffed and taken into custody. Gonzalez said she and Stroman spent around 18 hours in custody and she said the police didn’t even give her access to her medicine. When they finally got out, The Brooklyn District Attorney’s office declined to prosecute them. Cordova was charged with marijuana possession and possession of a forged credit card, but the case was adjourned and dismissed soon after. Gonzalez says when she got home, $800 was missing from a jacket in her closet – money she said she was saving for her two granddaughters. On top of all this, Gonzalez’s Brownsville apartment is covered by the 73rd Precinct, but they were taken to the 67th Precinct where Grieco is assigned. No one has yet to explain why Grieco was carrying out a raid in a precinct he wasn’t even assigned to, although investigations do often cross precinct lines. Grieco, 48, has a long history of being an ain’t sh** officer, including searching two homes without a warrant and being involved in a 2013 75th Precinct investigation. The anti-crime unit at the time was accused of illegal apartment searches and the theft of jewelry and thousands of dollars, according to court papers, Internal Affair docs and police sources. Over the years, Grieco has been the defendant in 29 lawsuits. But yet… This man is still on the force. Gonzalez’s and Stroman’s lawyer Joel Berger said, “For this cowboy to still be on the force is outrageous. He should have been terminated years ago. The fact that he hasn’t been is really indicative of the travesty the NYPD discipline system is.” Grieco is currently a sergeant who was one of NYPD’s top overtime earners in 2017. His $73,000 of extra pay upped his salary to $190,000 and last year he made $164,700. Out of the 29 lawsuits against Grieco, 16 of them were settled, costing the city more than half-million dollars.

British Soccer Player Blames Fan Abuse On Media Racial Bias That’s Also Found In The US

See the original post here:

A Black British soccer player ignored the racist abuse yelled at him from a fan but commented on how it was fueled by the racial bias of some media outlets, which is also seen in the United States. SEE ALSO: Texas Official Defends Racist Stereotype: ‘You Can’t Count On A Black Quarterback’ England and Manchester City forward Raheem Sterling said Sunday that irresponsible media outlets to “fuel racism” through their portrayal of young Black soccer players, the Guardian reported. His remarks appeared on social media after the police launched an investigation into a fan of the opposing team who was recorded on video at Saturday’s match allegedly yelling a racial slur at Sterling. It happened in the first half of a match against Chelsea when Sterling went to pick up the ball in front of the stands. “…For all the newspapers that don’t understand why people are racists in this day and age, all I have to say is have a second thought about fair publicity and give all players an equal chance,” Sterling wrote on Instagram . BT are apparently investigating the footage of Sterling being racially abused. 1st time I saw this pic i thought Sterling was laughing in their faces whilst they shouted. I hope that’s what he did. Look how angry they are. No place for this venom in football #MCFC #Sterling pic.twitter.com/WVs5oo7yOb — Paul McGarraghy (@PaulMcGarraghy) December 8, 2018 In his media post, Sterling gave the example of a young Black player who was criticized in a newspaper article for “splashing” his salary on a mansion before he even played his first professional match. Sterling said the rookie buying a house for his mother was the right thing to do, but Sterling also noted that the paper failed to criticize a young white player who did the same thing. “This young Black kid is looked at in a bad light,” Sterling stated. A University of Missouri researcher in 2015 reported similar media racial bias in the United States on how athletes are covered. Stories on African-American athletes focus primarily on criminal actions while stories about white athletes are overwhelmingly positive. Among the findings, more than 66 percent of the crime stories involved Black athletes while only 22 percent involved white athletes. More than 70 percent of domestic violence stories involved Black athletes and only 17 percent involved white athletes. “True cultural sensitivity requires the eradication of racial and ethnic stereotyping; thus, journalists and reporters must reflect on how their own unfounded beliefs about race differences in sports likely contribute to the stereotyping of black athletes as engaged in more criminal activity and innately physically gifted yet lacking in intelligence and strong work ethics,” the researcher Cynthia Frisby said. By Sunday morning, the authorities had not arrested the fan. “We are aware of a video circulating online in which it is claimed racial abuse was allegedly directed at a player … We will review the footage to determine whether any offences have been committed,” a statement from the Metropolitan police said. SMH: E! Producer Claims She Was Fired Over Airing Celebrity Criticism Of The Network

Jason Kempin/Getty Images E! Producer Is Claiming She Was Unfairly Terminated People began to side-eye a popular network when former  E! News  host Catt Sadler made the decision to leave after finding out that her salary was half that of her male counterparts. Her courageous decision was announced in early February, which came only a few days before the Golden Globe ceremony–which is where celebrities were particularly fired up to speak out against the systemic sexism of Hollywood. Now, another woman is claiming she was wrongfully terminated by the network. The producer, Aileen Gram-Moreno, told the  New York Times   that she was fired from E! for allowing Eva Longoria to criticize the network and support Catt Sadler. She filed a complaint with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission on Thursday. She claims she was unfairly terminated and replaced by a man. Gram-Moreno elaborated, “They said, if there’s any mention of Catt in the pre-show, make sure you flag it. You’re censoring celebrities; it’s just not a good idea in my humble opinion. But it wasn’t my decision.” However, the producer claims there were just too many prerecorded interviews to thoroughly review them all, and she was unable to listen to Longoria’s interview all the way through. So when she says towards the end, “We stand with you, Catt,” Gram-Moreno was “devastated about the mistake,” and apologized to her executive producer via text, who said it was probably unavoidable. Five days later, however, Gram-Moreno said she was fired from all upcoming shows she had already been booked for, including the Screen Actors Guild Awards, the Grammys, and the Oscars. E!  spokeswoman, Sarah Goldstein insists that Gram-Moreno is just a freelancer who averages 20 days a year, and she was let go only due to performance issues. Continue reading
