Tyler Baltierra: Is He Going to Rehab Next?!

Tyler Baltierra has struggled with his mental health for a long, long time. Catelynn Lowell has problems of her own too, of course, and there's definitely a focus on hers on Teen Mom OG, but fans will know that Tyler hasn't had it easy, either. He and Catelynn both grew up in the same kind of toxic environment, after all, and they both had a very hard time after placing their daughter for adoption when they were teenagers. For the past few months, Tyler has been becoming more and more vocal about how bad things have gotten for him. But are they so bad that he'll head off to a treatment center like Catelynn did? 1. A Rough Beginning Tyler has always seemed close to his mother, Kim, but we can’t really say the same for his father. Butch Baltierra has been in and out of prison for Tyler’s entire life, and if he hasn’t been in prison, he’s been on some kind of probation. 2. The Truth Hurts Butch even told Tyler once that he loved cocaine more than he loved him. Can you even imagine how damaging that must have been for Tyler? 3. A Suicide Attempt An especially heartbreaking little tidbit about Tyler was that he tried to commit suicide when he was only 12 years old. This is very dark, but he said that he hung himself, and when he didn’t die immediately he began having second thoughts and was able to get himself free from the noose. 4. Just Heartbreaking He also met Catelynn when he was 12, and the two began dating. A few years later, she became pregnant, and they made the difficult decision to place the child for adoption so that she would have a better life than they could provide for her. 5. Too, Too Sad In what many people consider to be the most heartbreaking moment on all of Teen Mom, Tyler and Catelynn both cried after their first daughter was born, and they begged nurses to take her away so they didn’t become too attached. 6. After Carly In the years after being 16 and Pregnant, Catelynn and Tyler had many ups and downs. They got engaged, they got un-engaged, they nearly broke up after she lied to him about some other guy she’d been talking to. They started jobs, they talked about career goals, he went to New Orleans for a while to try to be an actor. View Slideshow

Cardi B: Pregnant! For Real! See Her Baby Bump!

There is officially a bun in one of music's most popular ovens. Following several weeks of rumors stating that Cardi B was pregnant with her first child, the beloved musician turned this chatter into a reality… … and she did so on television's biggest stage. Literally! Cardi B performed the track “Be Careful” yesterday evening, doing so in a form-fitting white gown that accentuated her belly. And there's very clearly a baby growing inside of it. How exciting! The reveal was a conscious decision by Cardi B because she hid her form under a voluminous feathered frock during her first appearance as the show's musical guest last night. “I’m finally free,” the singer then said in a video posted on social media following her “Be Careful” rendition, alluding to the months of hiding amid widespread speculation about her pregnancy. As you can see below, Cardi is very far along. Gotta at least be in her second trimester. This is just a guess on our part, as the musician has not announced a due date. Nor has she told us which gender the child will be. But we do know the father is Offset, a rapper in the group Migos who has three kids via previous relationships. “Cardi and I look forward to our next chapter together,” Offset Tweeted shortly after his bride-to-be’s bump-revealing performance. Oh, yes, the stars are engaged! Cardi B, who also hates paying taxes , had taken to wearing sort of ridiculous outfits to shield the public from her pregnancy. She had even previously responded to the speculation on Instagram, writing to one online troll,: “No bitch I'm just getting fat. Let me fat in peace.” Turns out, she was lying. But for an understandable reason. Check out Cardi's baby bump in the following video… … and join us in wishing the superstar nothing but the best! We're so very happy for Cardi B and Offset!

Walter Becker Dies; Steely Dan Musician Was 67

The world has lost yet another legendary musician today … Walter Becker, one of the co-founders of Steely Dan, passed away earlier this morning. He was only 67 years old. The announcement of his death was first made on his personal website, with no other information than the date of his birth and today’s date — the day he passed. As of now, we don’t know the cause of death, but we do know that he was having health problems earlier this summer that caused him to miss some Steely Dan concerts. Donald Fagen, the other co-founder of the band, said in July that ‘Walter’s recovering from a procedure and hopefully he’ll be fine very soon.” Tragically, as we know now, that was not to be the case. Walter and Donald founded Steely Dan together all the way back in 1972, with Walter playing guitar and bass and co-writing the songs with Donald. They were successful up until 1981 when they broke up, but they reunited in 1993, and they’ve been touring since then. Though we don’t have any details about Walter’s death at this time, we do have a touching tribute written by Donald for his longtime bandmate and friend. Read the tribute in full below: Walter Becker was my friend, my writing partner and my bandmate since we met as students at Bard College in 1967. We started writing nutty little tunes on an upright piano in a small siting room in the lobby of Ward Manor, a mouldering old mansion on the Hudson River that the college used as a dorm. We liked a lot of the same things: jazz (from the twenties through the mid-sixties), W.C. Fields, the Marx brothers, science fiction, Nabokov, Kurt Vonnegut, Thomas Berger, and Robert Altman films come to mind. Also soul music and Chicago blues. Walter had a very rough childhood — I’ll spare you the details. Luckily, he was smart as a whip, an excellent guitarist and a great songwriter. He was cynical about human nature, including his own, and hysterically funny. Like a lot of kids from fractured families, he had the knack of creative mimicry, reading people’s hidden psychology and transforming what he saw into bubbly, incisive art. He used to write letters (never meant to be sent) in my wife Libby’s singular voice that made the three of us collapse with laughter. His habits got the best of him by the end of the seventies, and we lost touch for a while. In the eighties, when I was putting together the NY Rock and Soul Review with Libby, we hooked up again, revived the Steely Dan concept and developed another terrific band. I intend to keep the music we created together alive as long as I can with the Steely Dan band. Our condolences to the people close to Walter — it sounds like he will be missed. Chris Cornell: Toxicology Report Reveals Singer’s Cause of Death

It’s been two weeks since the music world was stunned by the sudden death of Chris Cornell , the pioneering singer/songwriter whose inimitable vocal stylings helped Soundgarden and Audioslave rise to the top of the charts. Just hours after his body was found, medical examiners in Wayne County, Michigan ruled  Cornell’s death a suicide . Cornell’s widow, Vicky Karayiannis, and others close to the musician expressed doubts about the coroner’s findings. Karayiannis maintained that drugs played a role in Cornell’s death , a theory that shocked fans, as the singer had been sober for nearly 15 years prior to hsi passing. Nevertheless, Karyiannis issued a statement expressing her belief that the results of a pending toxicology report would corroborate her beliefs. Today, TMZ obtained the results of that report , and it seems that Karayiannis was correct in her assertion that Cornell was under the influence at the time of his passing. The coroner who examined Cornell’s body confirmed that the following drugs were found in his system: Naloxone (Narcan), Butalbital (sedative), Lorazepam (Ativan), Pseudoephedrine (decongestant), and unspecified barbiturates. Witnesses claimed to have seen puncture marks on Cornell’s arms, but it appears those were the result of Narcan injections made by paramedics in an effort to save the 52-year-old’s life. Shortly after her husband’s death, Karayiannis stated that she knew Cornell was intoxicated just from speaking with him on the phone. She asked the singer’s bodyguard, who was staying in the same Detroit hotel, to check on Cornell, but tragically, it was too late. An apparently drug-addled Cornell had hung himself in his room with an exercise belt. Karayiannis issued the following statement in response to today’s findings: “Many of us who know Chris well, noticed that he wasn’t himself during his final hours and that something was very off. We have learned from this report that several substances were found in his system.  “After so many years of sobriety, this moment of terrible judgment seems to have completely impaired and altered his state of mind. “Something clearly went terribly wrong and my children and I are heartbroken and are devastated that this moment can never be taken back.” She concluded: “We very much appreciate all of the love we have received during this extremely difficult time and are dedicated to helping others in preventing this type of tragedy.” Our thoughts go out to Cornell’s widow and children during this tremendously difficult time. 25 Musicians Who Died Too Young

With his sudden passing at the age of 48 , Scott Weiland joined an unfortunately not very exclusive club: He's the latest musician to die at a rather young age. Chalk it up to drugs to lifestyle or to some unknown factor, but the following big names in music all left this planet far too soon… 1. Kurt Cobain The lead singer of Nirvana shot himself in the head at the age of 27, leaving a note that read: “Thank you all from the pit of my burning, nauseous stomach for your letters and concern during the past years. I’m too much of an erratic, moody baby! I don’t have the passion anymore, and so remember, it’s better to burn out than to fade away.” 2. Janis Joplin Janis Joplin also died at the age of 27. Officials determined that she overdosed on heroin. 3. Jimi Hendrix Yup, Jimi Hendrix was also 27 whe he died due to asphyxiation in his own vomit after he took sleeping pills. 4. Scott Weiland Scott Weiland was found dead in his tour bus in December of 2015. He passed away from cardiac arrest. 5. Andy Gibb Andy Gibb struggled with substance abuse and died of a heart ailment in 1988, just prior to his 30th birthday. 6. Jim Morrison Jim Morrison was found dead in his Paris apartment at the age of 27. No official cause was ever revealed, though most believe he died of a heroin overdose. View Slideshow

Justin Timberlake on Prince: Star Writes Heartbreaking Tribute to His Idol

Today, we lost legendary music icon Prince, who was found dead in his Minnesota home at age 57. While many stars have taken to social media to express their grief, Justin Timberlake wrote the most moving and heart-wrenching tribute to commemorate the loss of who he called “our greatest living musician.” When Timberlake first learned of the news, his initial words on Twitter were brief. “Numb. Stunned. This can’t be real,” he wrote. But after gathering his thoughts, the “Suit & Tie” singer took to Instagram and expressed them beautifully alongside a silhouette of Prince. In the post, he remembers falling in love at first sound with Prince at the young age of four after hearing “Raspberry Beret.”  JT goes on to reveal that his idol had a tremendous influence on his own music, confessing “He’s somewhere within every song I’ve ever written.” Read Timberlake’s touching memorial to Prince below: “It was Raspberry Beret. I was 4 years old. Yes, 4. I remember that I instantly loved it. “Mommy, who is that singing?” Seems weird but it’s true. More than a “once in a lifetime” artist… Just a ONCE IN FOREVER ARTIST. I’m still in shock as I write this and I feel this overwhelming grief. “But, we should all turn away from that and HONOR this musician that changed all of our lives, our perspectives, our feeling, our whole being. From another planet? Probably. Royalty, for sure. Us worthy..? Laughable. “They say don’t meet your idols… That they let you down. But, some of my greatest, funniest (yes, he was hilarious), and most prolific encounters and conversations about music came from the moments that I spent with him. It would be silly to say that he has inspired our music… It’s beyond that. He’s somewhere within every song I’ve ever written. “I am sad, but I will smile when I think of every second that I had the fortune of being in his company. We have lost our greatest living musician. But his music will never die. Prince, NOTHING COMPARES… #RIPPrince” View Slideshow: Prince: Stars React to the Death of Iconic Singer

Keith Emerson Dies; Emerson, Lake & Palmer Keyboardist Was 71

Keith Emerson – the prog rock keyboardist who co-founded the legendary trio Emerson, Lake & Palmer – has passed away at the age of 71. No cause of death has been given, but Emerson’s death was described as “sudden.” Sources say the musician had plans to begin touring Japan next week. His girlfriend discovered his body this afternoon at his home in Santa Monica. A pioneering figure in the 1970s rock scene, Emerson was the first musician to tour with a Moog synthesizer, an unwieldy, futuristic-sounding instrument that had previously only been used in studio sessions by bands like the Beatles and the Rolling Stones. Emerson was revered by musicians for his technical mastery, and beloved by audiences for his onstage antics, such as using knives to wedge down keys on his synthesizer, or playing two keyboards at once. Along with Rick Wright or Pink Floyd and Tony Banks of Genesis, Emerson was one of the instrumentalists who did for organs and synthesizers what Jimi Hendrix and Eric Clapton had already for done for guitars. Social media tributes to Emerson have been pouring in from all over the globe, and not surprisingly, many of them come from musicians who credit him for making keyboards cool and inspiring them to take piano lessons. Jermaine Jackson Slams Donald Trump Claiming He Was Cool With Michael Jackson

Jermaine Jackson Blasts Donald Trump For Namedropping Michael Donald Trump randomly felt the need to bring up his old “friend” Michael Jackson, and speak on his surgeries and self esteem issues while on his campaign trail the other day: And Jermaine was NOT having it. Via NYDN : Donald Trump should “Beat It,” according to the King of Pop’s big brother. Former Jackson 5 member Jermaine Jackson slammed the blowhard billionaire Friday for speculating that his late friend Michael Jackson had lost his confidence due to “bad, bad, bad” plastic surgery. “‘Friends’ don’t pay tribute by peddling b.s. theories about Michael’s ‘loss in confidence,’” the musician tweeted in response to the loudmouthed mogul’s comments during a CNN GOP town hall. “This fool Trump needs to sit down.” “Michael’s confidence was affected by the pressures, injustice and vitriol of external circumstances,” he added. “Period.” Jackson also accused Trump — who embarked on an unexpected tangent about Jacko’s life and legacy during Thursday’s Anderson Cooper-hosted event — of pandering to the Moonwalker’s fans. “Name-dropping Michael don’t make you cool and won’t win you votes,” he said. “Especially when using botched facts.” Good for Jermaine standing up for his brother’s legacy. Kim Kardashian and Kanye West: Fighting About Baby #3 ALREADY?!

It’s only been a month since Kim Kardashian and Kanye West welcomed their second child and already, the world is wondering if and when the couple will try for baby number three . Of course, Kim has strongly and repeatedly implied that she’s done having kids. Her second pregnancy was a difficult one ; she and Kanye had trouble conceiving; and doctors have reportedly told her that a third pregnancy would result in even more complications. Sources say she’s tried to convince Kanye to get a vasectomy , but Yeezy has reportedly been resistant to the idea. Now, Radar Online is reporting that Kim wants to get her tubes tied to ensure that ‘Ye doesn’t slip one past the goalie, but apparently, her husband isn’t having that idea either: “Kanye thinks she shouldn’t be making any permanent decisions about future babies right now because she’s so depressed about her body,” a source close to the situation tells Radar . “Kim is sticking to her position that this was her last pregnancy. [Kanye] is begging her to hold off on doing anything permanent.” Obviously, folks as well off as Kim and Kanye have plenty of options, but for Yeezy, procreating is an act of egotism, and he reportedly has no interest in other means of expanding his brood. “He wants to continue growing the family and he’s ‘creeped out’ by the idea of surrogacy,” says the insider. Yes, surrogacy creeps Kanye out, but he’s fine with the idea of his wife enduring another painful, risky pregnancy.  So if you were worried that fatherhood would make Kanye less Kanye, it looks like you can officially put those fears to bed.
