Cops Fired After Calling Black Neighborhoods Target Practice Three Miami police officers have been fired for making racist comments on a group chat about using Miami’s black neighborhoods for target practice reports The Star Tribune : Officers Kevin Bergnes, Miguel Valdes and Bruce Alcin were let go on Dec. 23, after an internal affairs investigation concluded that they violated department policies, said the Miami Herald ( http://hrld.us/2hxDZZp ), citing documents it obtained. The remarks angered local civil rights activists keeping tabs on a department that is currently scrutinized by the U.S. Department of Justice for a pattern of excessive force. The Miami police department confirmed that officers Bergnes, Valdes and Alcin were fired, but did not explain the reasons behind the dismissals. #BlackLivesMatter

I bought a trey bag, rolled up eight joints, and sold each one for a dollar.” From that humble beginning, Mickens’ operation eventually became more lucrative, generating $100,000 a week and also allowing him to start multiple other legit businesses, including a dry cleaners and a grocery store. Mickens, known as “Tony Montana” on the streets, once boasted an impressive collection of material wealth. He amassed a fleet of 21 luxury cars, including a Rolls Royce equipped with a TV, a Ferrari and a Lamborghini; a $800,000 mansion in Dix Hills; a 38-foot-yacht paid for in cash; a helicopter; and a mouth full of gold “fronts” studded with diamonds. But after being busted in 1989 for tax evasion, drug dealing and money laundering, he came out of prison in 2008 with no money to his name. That’s when he decided to create “The Tommy Experience”, a health exercise and wellness program. As a fitness instructor for senior citizens, Mickens now earns between $40-$150 per class. “I’m not proud of what I did to my neighborhoods. Last year a Chicago mother was arrested after she allegedly drove her son and an accomplice to shoot a person they believed was a snitch. The year before, a dying 17-year-old took the name of his killer to the grave. “I know,” Robert Tate reportedly said when asked if he knew who shot him in the chest, “but I ain’t telling you.” Last week, eight people were struck in a drive-by shooting at 79th Street and South Essex Avenue, and community activist Andrew Holmes said some of them reportedly weren’t cooperating with police. “The persons have been struck by gunfire, they need to step up and speak up for us,” Holmes told NBCChicago.com. “Nine times out of 10, they knew who was firing the shot at them.” Ninjas will support the dumbest, most ignorant, “trends” but won’t do something that could help save the neighborhoods that they claim they represent. Orthodox Jews In Israel Buy Glasses To Blur Vision Of Tempting Women And lead them not into temptation… We knew the Orthodox folks were strict but dayuuuum! It’s the latest prescription for extreme ultra-Orthodox Jewish men who shun contact with the opposite sex: Glasses that blur their vision, so they don’t have to see women they consider to be immodestly dressed. In an effort to maintain their strictly devout lifestyle, the ultra-Orthodox have separated the sexes on buses, sidewalks and other public spaces in their neighborhoods. Their interpretation of Jewish law forbids contact between men and women who are not married. Walls in their neighborhoods feature signs exhorting women to wear closed-necked, long-sleeved blouses and long skirts. Extremists have accosted women they consider to have flouted the code. Now they’re trying to keep them out of clear sight altogether. The ultra-Orthodox community’s unofficial “modesty patrols” are selling glasses with special blur-inducing stickers on their lenses. The glasses provide clear vision for up to a few meters so as not to impede movement, but anything beyond that gets blurry — including women. It’s not known how many have been sold. For men forced to venture outside their insular communities, hoods and shields that block peripheral vision are also being offered. The glasses are going for the “modest” price of $6. While a line like “F**k the Army troops” is open to some interpretation … it’s clear what the message was in his recently-released rap, “Let’s Be Real.” In any case, the star just posted a blog entitled titled, “I Am Deeply Sorry To All Members Of The United States Military Services And Their Families.” Several military vets lashed out against Soulja Boy after he released the rap. One former sergeant even released his own rap dissing the celebrity. He tried to explain where he was coming from, but for the most part, Soulja owned his mistake and came off sincere on GlobalGrind (dot) com. Soulja Boy comes right out and says that in criticizing the military, “not only did my words come out wrong, I was wrong to even speak them.” Soulja’s apology letter appears after the jump ….
