The life of O.J. Simpson has taken another strange turn today. Simpson’s former best friend and longtime confidante Tom Scotto has passed away at the age of 56. To understand just how bizarre Simpson and Scotto’s relationship was, we need only to look at the last few months of both men’s lives. In October of 2017 Simpson was released from prison on robbery charges. At the time of his release, Scotto offered to allow Simpson to move into his palatial home in Naples, Florida. Scotto publicly rescinded the offer shortly thereafter, alleging that he recently learned Simpson had slept with his then-wife in 2007. Shortly after that, Scotto was hospitalized due to complications from pneumonia. Just nine days ago, Scotto spoke with Radar Online and informed the outlet that his health was on the upswing. He claimed was soon to be moved out of the intensive care unit with the eventual goal of returning home. Two days later, however, Scotto signed a “do not resuscitate” order after his health took yet another turn for the worse. Today, family and friends were shocked by the new that Scotto had passed away. “Tom Scotto died of the broken heart because O.J. slept with the man’s wife!” a source close both Scotto and Simpson tells Radar. “O.J. only cares about himself but with Scotto’s death, he’s going to feel like sh-t!” “It’s desperately sad Tom and O.J. didn’t settle their differences before he died, but now everyone’s worried what O.J. might do. He can behave all crazy and has an awful temper,” says a second source. The tipster included a chilling (thought likely apocryphal) account of Scotto’s final moments: “Scotto’s last words were ‘O.J. took everything away from me and I don’t want to live anymore,'” the insider alleges. Obviously there’s no way to confirm that particular claim, but in his final interview – just days before his death – Scotto made his contempt for Simpson abundantly clear: “After everything I did for O.J., that was complete betrayal,” Scotto said of the allegation that Simpson slept with his ex-wife. “I was a brother to him.” View Slideshow: O.J. As you’ve no doubt heard by now, O.J. Simpson was released from prison last month after serving nine years on robbery charges. Needless to say, some folks were less than thriled with the thought of living in a world in which the Juice is on the loose. Obviously, there are the families of O.J.’s alleged murder victims, and the Brown and Goldman families are probably more than a little about reports that Simpson tried to hire a hitman and have them killed during his time behind bars. But O.J. burned a lot of bridges during his first stint as a free man, so the Browns and Goldmans aren’t alone in their antipathy toward the former football great. The members of the Kardashian-Jenner clan, for example, are no big fans of number 32. Kris Jenner’s husband, Robert Kardashian, was a close friend of Simpson’s and the late attorney played an instrumental role in assembling the defense team for his double murder trial. Both Kris and former husband Caitlyn Jenner have been vocally critical of O.J., and there have been reports that Kris and Caitlyn are afraid for their lives in the wake of Simpson’s release. TMZ caugh up with Simpson in Las Vegas last night, and the topic of Caitlyn came up during a brief conversation. O.J. attempted to keep the conversation lighthearted, but we’re guessing Jenner won’t be thrilled with what he had to say. “I don’t know Caitlyn,” Simpson told the paparazzo. “I’ve never met Caitlyn, as far as Bruce is concerned, I really didn’t know him that well.” The reason to question the veracity of that remark, as O.J. vacationed with the Jenners in the late ’80s, but it’s what Simpson said next that’s really sparking controversy. “If he wants to choose to live his life out as an old lady, instead of an old man, hey, women live longer,” Simpson joked. “He may be on to something.” A groaner, to be sure, but it could’ve been far worse. After all, this is O.J. we’re talking about. If you survive your encounter with him, then it could’ve been far worse. View Slideshow: O.J. Simpson Trial Stars: Where Are They Now?

According to an earlier report, Khloe Kardashian has not spoken to Caitlyn Jenner in years . And now we may know why: Caitlyn believes Khloe’s father is a cold-blooded murderer!!! No, not Robert Kardashian. We speak, of course, about O.J. Simpson, who many some at least one tabloid pretends to believe is Khloe’s biological father . In an interview to promote her new controversial memoir, Jenner told Andy Cohen during a Sirius XM Town Hall this week that she was always convinced Simpson had killed taken the lives of his ex-wife and Ronald Goldman. He said that Kris Jenner, to whom he was married at the time of the infamous 1994 trial, felt the same way. “I knew he did it,” Caitlyn explained to Cohen, adding: “There was three people at the crime scene. DNA evidence, three people at the crime scene. Pick a murderer. How hard is that?” Pretty hard, as it turned out, considering Simpson was found not guilty in what has been deemed The Trial of the Century. O.J. was found culpable in a civil lawsuit and is currently serving a 33-year sentence in Nevada, where he was convicted in 2008 of multiple felonies, including criminal conspiracy, kidnapping and robbery. Caitlyn makes note of the trial in “The Secrets of My Life,” which hit bookstores on Tuesday. “In the book, I talk about only one time after the second trial and the whole thing was over, Robert just said to me that, ‘I would have been okay if they got him in the first trial,’” says Jenner, revealing that Khloe’s actual father believed his good friend was a killer. Added Jenner in this chat with Cohen: “That’s the only thing he ever said and that’s about the closest he’ll ever come, never saying he actually did it. “When Robert, in the first trial, he was now the guy who helped him get away with murder and he was destroyed by everyone. And I felt terribly sorry for him.” Caitlyn has been on quite the press tour of late in order to move copies of her biography. She’s opened up about a number of personal issues, such as how she felt very weird making love to Kris during their marriage because she knew something was off about her identity. She says Kris was well aware that she liked to cross-dress and has transgender tendencies. In the memoir, Caitlyn writes that what Kris knew and what she now claims to have known will always be an area of “dispute” between the exes, adding: “She insists that she was taken by surprise by my ultimate transition to Caitlyn, which obviously means in her mind that she did not know enough.” View Slideshow: Caitlyn Jenner: Read the 19 Most Stunning Quotes From Her Memoir Caitlyn also admitted that she barely even talks to the Kardashian side of her family anymore. It appears to make her sad, although she isn’t certain why it’s reached this point. “I have to admit, I’ll sit here and wonder, ‘Is it because of my transitioning? Or is because their life is so busy that they don’t call, like, all the time?'” Jenner asks. “I mostly reach out to them. Obviously, the Jenner side calls more, but they all have their own lives.” Still, Jenner has no regrets. This is her authentic self. “[I’m] happy, peaceful… I have peace in my soul,” she concludes. “All of that confusion has left me.”
The flaming Hindenberg wreckage that Donald Trump calls a presidential campaign inched ever closer to self-parody Wednesday night thanks to the revelation that Trump once entered into a professional relationship with a remorseless bloodthirsty beast. No, not Ted Cruz. We’re talking about the revelation that Trump once asked O.J. Simpson to appear on Celebrity Apprentice . Yes, well after O.J. was controversially acquitted of the murders of Nicole Brown Simpson and Ronald Goldman, Trump thought it would be a good idea to have the former NFL running back/probable cold-blooded killer star on his goofy reality show. You may be thinking, “Hey, Trump’s pretty dumb. Maybe he’s one of those people who genuinely believes O.J. is innocent!” Nope. Turns out that Trump totally thinks O.J. is a double murderer and wanted him to star on his show anyway, because ratings. Like the revelation that Trump likes to refer to his daughter, Ivanka, as a “piece of ass,” this one comes to us courtesy of Howard Stern, who apparently has a snake charmer-like ability to get Trump to spill embarrassing details about his past. “I do have to tell you about O.J. and The Apprentice ,'” Trump told Stern in a July 2008 interview. “NBC went totally crazy when I wanted to put O.J. on The Apprentice .” Yeah, they went “totally crazy” for not wanting to put one of the most hated men in America on an already poorly-rated reality show. What a bunch of uptight squares, right? Shockingly, Trump confirms that he stopped playing golf with Simpson when he “realized he killed his wife,” but he was willing to overlook that indiscretion in order to boost his numbers in the 18-49 demo. Asked why he would consider such a bizarre ratings stunt, Trump replied as only Trump can: “In your business, there’s a thing called ratings,” the real estate mogul told Stern. “And, you know you can come up with a cure for cancer – I found out a lot about your business – because, hey, I’m the biggest star. I’m now the biggest star. “So I know that if you come up with a cure for cancer, and if you put it on, and if it doesn’t get ratings, they will not broadcast it.” Trump added that he’d rather have O.J. appear on camera in a blood-splattered Bills jersey with a knife between his teeth than eradicate one of the deadliest diseases on the planet: “So, you come with a cure for a disease, no good. Now, I know this if I put O.J. on huge ratings. Oh, forget it, 35 million people.” Asked if he went so far as to contact Simpson about the gig, Trump once again offered a reply that can only be described as Trumpian: “I don’t want to go into it, but O.J. would have done it. I can’t go into the details,” the 70-year-old said. “I hadn’t spoken to him in years, I don’t like people that kill their wives. Does that make sense? Does that make me a disloyal person?” So along with POWs, add “people who kill their wives” to the list of things the Donald doesn’t care for. Of course, this is just the latest in a series of bizarre interactions between Trump and NBC . Most recently, the footage of Trump boasting about sexual assault that leaked online was shot for an NBC-owned show ( Access Hollywood ) on the set of a different NBC series ( Days of Our Lives ). Donald Trump & Billy Bush: Lewd Comments Caught on Video Prior to that, the network had been accused of both hampering Trump’s campaign and helping to humanize him to voters. The former allegations come from the Trump campaign, of course, while the latter originated with media analysts who believe Matt Lauer went easy on Trump during September’s Commander-In-Chief Forum. Many also believe that Jimmy Fallon’s interview with Trump the same month was designed to make the GOP nominee more relatable to voters. Trump described his friendship with O.J. – and bizarre contempt for murder victim Nicole Brown Simpson – in a 2004 interview: “I’m sitting having dinner and O.J. came up to me — I was sitting with very important people, big bankers, nobody that you know, big, big bankers, and we were sitting there, there were six of us, and O.J. came up,” Trump said. Jimmy Fallon Talks Donald Trump “And he was talking to us for about three minutes, and Nicole, was with her mother I think, and she came over, and she started screaming at him, ‘get over to the table, what the hell are you—’ she was rough, in all fairness.” He added (presumably to a cringing reporter): “She was very tough. She came over and she really embarrassed him, she was screaming at him. She didn’t care. And that was before The Apprentice so she didn’t give a damn about me. Before he was Prisoner No. 0264892, O.J. Simpson was a star. In ESPN’s five-part 30 for 30 documentary about “The Juice,” the story takes a look at where he grew up and went to school
The Juice is once again loose on the Internet. In an image released on Monday by Nevada’s Department of Corrections, O.J. Simpson is posing for his first photo since July 13. And he looks pretty darn happy to be standing for another mug shot, doesn’t he? The picture above was snapped this week at Lovelock Correctional Center, where Simpson has been a prisoner ever since he was convicted of armed robbery back in 2008. Indeed, the probable murderer was arrested for breaking into a Las Vegas hotel room nine years ago, joining a group of other men in making an attempt to steal some sports memorabilia. Simpson is eligible for parole next year. According to one former friend of the ex-running back, Simpson may admit to killing Nicole Brown Simpson and Ron Goldman upon his eventual release from prison. But we find that pretty hard to believe. We also doubt he’ll try to hook up with the Jenners upon his release. View Slideshow: 18 Celebrities Who May Have Killed People In one of the most famous trials in this nation’s history, Simpson was found not guilty of murdering his ex-wife and her friend in 1994. Three years later, a civil jury found him liable for the double murders and ordered him to pay $33.5 million in damages. But O.J. remained a free man… until, in a truly stunning development for someone who almost got away with murder, he went ahead and got convicted of a different felony many years later. The case has been back in the news of late because FX aired a mesmerizing miniseries based on the investigation and trial this spring; while ESPN and ABC will premiere a six-part documentary on June 11 titled “O.J. Simpson: Made in America.” So now we have to ask once again: Do you think O.J. did it? Obviously He did View Poll » View Slideshow: O.J. Simpson Trial Stars: Where Are They Now?
