Captain Phillips Posters: Pirates with Guns

Tom Hanks is a busy guy. One minute he’s in the  Saving Mr. Banks trailer , the next he’s popping up on these new  Captain Phillips posters. Check out both the one-sheet and international  Captain Phillips posters below! As you can see in this Captain Phillips  trailer , the film follows the events surrounding Captain Richard Phillips his ship, the MV Maersk Alabama, being taken hostage by Somali pirates. These are two great posters. The international one, featuring Hanks, does a great job at conveying the general plot. There are pirates (one of whom has a case of the crazy eyes)… they have guns… Tom Hanks is nervous. The domestic one-sheet is just an exercise in great composition.  Captain Phillips , directed by Paul Greengrass, opens in theaters on October 11.

HBO has released the first official poster for True Blood Season 6 and, with it, issued a warning: No One Lives Forever. The promotional art appears to show a shadowy Bill Compton, fangs bared, screaming into the sky. Is the series teasing this vampire’s demise? One season after he went all Lility crazy on Sookie and grew an ego that would rival that of Donald Trump ? That’s what Charlie Sheen and the network are promising in their first official poster for Anger Management , the upcoming return vehicle for this once VERY troubled star. Check it out now: The series premieres on June 28 and will center around Sheen as a former professional athlete who makes an unexpected therapist. Klown: The Movie Sets a Nude Standard for Raunch [VIDEO]

They show tits on primetime TV in Denmark, so when the Danes want to make an outrageously offensive comedy, they’ve really got to go for the jugular (or the brown eye, as the case may be). As we reported in our Fantastic Fest coverage last fall, Klown: The Movie makes The Hangover look like a Disney flick, and it’s much funnier to boot. Drafthouse Films is bringing Klown to America this summer, so before the planned Danny McBride remake, check out this raunchy red-band trailer featuring one of the most awkward threesome scenes in cinema history. Step up your game, Todd Phillips. The Danes have arrived.

Abigail Breslin to Play Real-Life Canadian Teen ‘Bathtub’ Murderer

Hollywood’s little miss sunshines are growing up, and how ( looking at you too, Dakota ): Variety reports that 15-year-old Abigail Breslin has been cast as one of two leads in The Class Project , an indie drama based on the real-life “Bathtub Girls,” two teenage Canadian sisters who murdered their mother in 2003 and got away with the crime for a year before being found out. Stan Brooks will direct from a script by Fabrizio Filippo and Adam Till who adapted The Class Project from Toronto Star reporter Bob Mitchell’s 2008 book, The Class Project: How To Kill a Mother: The True Story of Canada’s Infamous Bathtub Girls . We can all agree that the posters and images released so far for Summit’s The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1 have been a little subdued , with far less angst on display here than in previous installments and more of a focus on Bella and Edward’s domestic skinny-dipping , chess-playing , honeymooning bliss. Fine enough. While you wait with bated breath to see what Summit unveils as their actual official poster, take a gander at newly surfaced key art that sees nine familiar characters in their new Breaking Dawn garb.

It isn’t easy to lose an Emmy, but it’s even harder to lose it your archenemy, as Kathy Griffin found out this past weekend when My Life on the D-List lost the reality series trophy to Jamie Oliver’s Food Revolution , produced by her nemesis Ryan Seacrest. The next night at an Emmy bash at Cecconi’s, Griffin rehashed the loss to Movieline.

Where is the Runaway Train on the New Unstoppable Poster?

So Fox has unveiled the first official poster for Tony Scott’s long-gestating runaway-train thriller Unstoppable , featuring Denzel Washington and Chris Pine as an unlikely duo charged with halting said train — loaded with chemicals, natch — before it jumps the rails, barrels into a bus full of children and/or achieves any number of other cataclysmic scenarios. All of which raises the question: Where’s the train?
