To fans’ delight, the performance recreated nearly all the lights, characters, costumes and choreography that make the original video so absurd (and popular). Adrian Peterson’s son has died following an assault, according to reports. Sioux Falls, S.D., police have confirmed that the 2-year-old child of the NFL star. The Minneapolis Star Tribune reports that the young boy was beaten by the boyfriend of his mother in South Dakota, suffering severe head injuries. Earlier Friday, he was listed in critical condition. Adrian Peterson’s Son Dies Per the family’s request, the state is holding the child’s name, but the athlete’s father, Nelson Peterson, confirmed he was Adrian Peterson’s son . “All I can say is, we are asking for prayers and respect for our family as we deal with this tragic situation,” Nelson Peterson told a local newspaper. How and why did this tragedy occur? That is very much unclear at this time, but authorities believe strongly that the attack on the boy was deliberate. Joseph Robert Patterson, 27, has been charged with aggravated assault and aggravated battery on an infant. According to the Sioux Falls Argus Leader: “Patterson was dating the child’s mother and was the only one home with the boy Wednesday when the abuse allegedly took place. “Patterson called 911 around 5:45 p.m. Wednesday to report the boy was choking at their Platinum Valley apartment.” “But Lt. Blaine Larsen of the Sioux Falls Police Department said it became clear at the hospital that the boy’s injuries were not accidental.” “An examination led doctors to suspect that the boy’s injuries were ‘consistent with abuse and not accidental.'” “The assault on an infant charge involves blows, shaking or causing a child’s head to sustain impact with an object in a manner that causes bleeding or swelling on the brain.” The boy was confirmed dead Friday afternoon. Adrian Peterson, the 2012 NFL MVP, returned to Vikings headquarters Friday. The all-world running back said he would be on the field Sunday. “I will be playing Sunday, without a doubt,” Peterson told the media today. “I really appreciate all the support that I’ve been receiving from fans and the Vikings. He added that “this is a private matter and I would ask you all to please just respect my privacy and not ask at all about the situation at hand.” Peterson also tweeted two hours ago: “The NFL is a fraternity of brothers and I am thankful for the tweets, phone calls and text messages from my fellow players.”

Peterson said that people like Sharpton and President Obama have only injected themselves into this case to “incite the anger of black Americans and others,” adding that they’ve been “using black Americans by dividing the races” and “intimidating white people to get more power.” Morgan asked Peterson if the outcome would have been the same if instead of Martin, it had been a young white man like Mark Zuckerberg in a hoodie. Peterson said it wouldn’t have mattered, and shot down the “absolute lie” that Martin was “some innocent little kid, tip-toeing through the tulips.” He declared, “Trayvon Martin was a thug. You need more people sir… Drew Peterson Sentenced To 38 Years For Murder Of Kathleen Savio Via ABCNews Former Illinois cop Drew Peterson yelled, “I did not kill Kathleen!” during the sentencing phase of his trial today — and then a judge sentenced him to 38 years in jail for killing her. The sentence came after Will County Judge Edward Burmila denied Peterson a re-trial in the killing of his third wife, Kathleen Savio, in 2004. Peterson had faced as many as 60 years in prison. At his sentencing, after Peterson shouted that he did not kill his wife, someone in the courtroom yelled in reply, “Yes you did!” according to ABC News Chicago station WLS. Burmila then ordered that person to leave the courtroom. Peterson went on to claim that police “altered evidence” in his case and “intimidated witnesses and scared my children.” “I love Kathy,” he said. “She was a good mom. … She didn’t deserve to die.” Drew also said he planned to get a tattoo on his back reading “no good deed goes unpunished”. Drew might not have done any good deeds, but the victims’ families are more than happy to see him punished. Savio’s nephew Michael Lisak said afterwards that his aunt “can finally rest in peace.” “Today is a day for battered women, not just Kathleen Savio,” Lisak said. “Your voice will be heard. My aunt’s voice was heard through the grave. She would not stop. They will listen to you now.” Peterson’s sister Cassandra Cales had a blunt message for the newly convicted murderer. “Game over, Drew,” she said. “He can wipe the smirk off his face. It’s time to pay.” LMAO @ “Game over, Drew” Although Peterson was not convicted of killing his fourth wife, Stacy, hopefully this sentence will be bring some semblance of justice to her family as well. Nick Peterson absolutely stunned fans and co-stars alike with his decision to keep all the money for himself on the Bachelor Pad season finale last night. Leaving Rachel Trueheart both brokenhearted and broke, Nick’s controversial move proved that not everything in the Bachelor universe is totally contrived. It’s impossible not to feel bad for Rachel, who was already reeling, having developed real feelings for co-star Michael Stagliano that were not reciprocated. At least she would win $125,000 at the end of her Bachelor Pad ordeal, though … or so she thought. The often-overlooked Nick Peterson had other ideas. With his decidedly undiplomatic attitude after the fact, Nick probably didn’t handle the situation as well as he could have Monday night. But this is still a game. On merit, Peterson pulled off one of the all-time reality TV coups, outlasting a partner (and cast in general) that didn’t think he “deserved” to be there. Nobody in Rachel’s alliance gave a $h!t about Nick Peterson, who they considered a pawn, and who and planned on voting off as soon as they needed to. This is fact. However lucky he was to float through the game as long as he did – and to gain a legit shot when Michael was booted – he seized the chance. So there he was last night, with the option of splitting the cash with a partner who never liked him, or to roll the dice and go for broke. $250,000 or $0. He went for it, and won it. Rachel was stunned; their fellow cast members even more so. Sure, it was brutal, but the option is in play because it’s a game . Chris Bukowski probably would’ve done it, too, had he not burned so many bridges. It’s a competition first and a dating show second. People forget this.
