Cressida Bonas Dumps Prince Harry, Royal Source Confirms … Is It Over For Good?

Cressida Bonas has reportedly broken up with Prince Harry. Is it all over for William’s brother and the gorgeous young woman many thought would be his wife? The same day as Kate Middleton and Prince William celebrate their third anniversary, reports of Harry’s romance in ruins have hit celebrity news outlets. But are they legitimate? That’s far from clear. What we do know is that earlier this year, it seemed like Cressida Bonas was a sure thing to marry Harry at best, or moving in that direction at worst. Harry was moving her gently into his royal circles and it appeared that an engagement announcement would be happening eventually, if not immediately. In recent weeks, however, things have cooled off. Why? Speculation increased that Harry’s friends were warning him about Cressida because of her immaturity and apparent reticence against the royal family. Now “sources” claim Harry and Cressida are over: “The pair apparently decided to go their separate ways after [Cressie] told Harry that she doesn’t want to marry into the royal family, according to tabloid reports.” “Harry wants to settle down and get married just like his brother, Prince William. But Cressie is still young and had huge reservations about marrying.” “They had a chat over the weekend and decided it’s best they cool things off. Harry’s hoping she’ll change her mind, but for now the romance is very much off.” We cannot confirm this celebrity gossip rumor. Considering the unsourced reports that have surfaced regarding the overlooked royal couple, it seems premature to stick a fork in Harressie just yet. Still, if there’s trouble in paradise, it’s much better to figure that out now than after it’s already too late to go back. Amanda Bynes Self-Portrait: Sketchy (in a Good Way)!

The recovering Amanda Bynes recently returned to Twitter, and she’s quickly making up for lost time in reconnecting with her fans. In a good way this time. On Monday, she posted self-portrait she sketched herself. “New sketch,” Bynes, 27, wrote. Check out her artwork! The star, who’s taking classes at FIDM in Orange County, drew a black and white pencil drawing that emphasized her big eyes, pouty lips, and long locks. She also appeared naked in the portrait … standard Bynes. She also pointed out how she only has one verified account. “FYI This is my only twitter account, I have no secret twitter accounts. Xoxo Amanda.” Bynes tweeted for the first time in months on February 28 following her stint in rehab, and deleted her previous, infamously erratic and bizarre tweets. “Hi everyone!” she wrote after a long hiatus due to mental health treatment. “I’m busy studying at @FIDM but I want to say I love you to my fans! Xoxo Amanda.” She has also changed her Twitter profile info to “Fashion Student” and uploaded a selfie for her default pic wearing minimal makeup and a grey sweatshirt. Bynes, who is currently under the conservatorship of her parents, “has completed her inpatient rehabilitation and she’s feeling better every day.” She is said to be mortified by her Drake vagina comment and her antics from the past couple of years, which is perhaps the best sign of all that she’s back. Amanda realizes that’s not the Amanda she wants to be, and while it certainly made for good gossip, we couldn’t be happier that she is on the mend.

Shirley Temple Remembered: On the Good Ship Lollipop…

Movie legend  Shirley Temple died last night at the age 85. The former child actress retired more than six decades prior to her passing, but she’s still remembered for her red hair, her dimples, her signature drink – and for one song in particular. Temple first sang “On the Good Ship Lollipop” in 1934’s Bright Eyes, belting out the track in a scene she reportedly choreographed herself.  The number has been referenced and duplicated many times since (from The Brady Bunch to The Simpsons) and we can think of no better way to salute the late star than to run her original here: Shirley Temple – “On The Good Ship Lollipop” Temple, of course, is merely the latest known name to pass away in 2014. Royal mom Kate Middleton was recently photographed arriving on her first overseas trip with son Prince George on the West Indies island of Mustique. The new parent, sans husband Prince William, carried the six-month-old heir to the British throne in front of her while deplaning on the tropical paradise. Kate Middleton, Prince George Vacation Baby George looks even more adorable since his July 22 birth, while Kate Middleton , looking fit and slim post-baby, dressed in casual attire for the flight. She wore a long-sleeve white and navy striped Ralph Lauren shirt, J brand skinny jeans and Mint Velvet shoes, for those who keep track of such things. Looking like she has a handle on motherhood, and like the style icon she’s come to be, the 32-year-old juggled little George while smiling at the media . The vacation marks young George’s first passport stamp since his birth, while William stayed behind for the University of Cambridge classes he’s taking. If you’re a regular THG visitor, you expect scandalous, very frequent and occasionally unclothed news regarding Kim Kardashian, Jenelle Evans , etc. Bea Arthur nude? We’re gonna guess not on your radar. Still, variety is the spice of life, and here we are discussing that very topic, thanks to artist John Currin, who painted this portrait of the star in 1991. Then 69, Bea (1922-2009) didn’t model for this portrait. The New Yorker refers to it as part of a series by Currin featuring “acrid fantasy portraits of menopausal women.” Gawker calls it “quite beautiful.” The work is up for auction today and is expected to go for between $1.8-2.5 million. The series is helmed by director Jane Campion , who previously brought us Nicole Kidman ’s cans in The Portrait of a Lady (1996), Holly Hunter ’s backburger in The Piano (1993), Kate Winslet ’s moist muff in Holy Smoke! Kate Middleton Portrait Artist Responds to "Vicious" Criticism

Kate Middleton’s portrait painter is speaking out in defense of his highly criticized, much maligned and often memed illustration of the Duchess of Cambridge. After receiving less-than-glowing reviews (to put it mildly), Paul Emsley revealed to Hello! that he and his family were upset by some of the negative feedback. Considering the Kate Middleton portrait was the biggest commission of his career, “I’d be inhuman if I said it didn’t affect me,” the award-winning artist said. “When you take on commissions like this, it is hazardous and you absolutely expect a bit of flak, but I expected nothing like the criticism I have received.” “I didn’t expect it to go to the levels it did.” While Kate told reporters she thought the painting was just “brilliant,” more than a few media outlets and fans of the royals were far less glowing. The near universal reaction was that it made the gorgeous Duchess look older and duller than her 31 years; even more unflattering, hilarious memes followed. After spending four months on it, Emsley likened the disparagement his work received to a “witch hunt” and “circus” that took an emotional toll on his family. “At first the attacks were so personal and vicious that there was a point where I doubted that the portrait of the duchess was any good,” he confesses. However, “now I’ve had time to reflect on it, I am still happy with it and am getting on with my life. There is nothing I would have changed,” he said. The 65-year-old painter suggested that perhaps the portrait doesn’t photograph well … which would be ironic in that there are like no bad Kate Middleton pics . Daniel Day-Lewis Hesitant To Play Abraham Lincoln

Actor Daniel Day-Lewis was reticent playing U.S. President Abraham Lincoln in the now much anticipated film that opens this weekend beginning in limited release and heads out wide the following week. But after a long build-up before actually taking on the 16th U.S. leader, he reflected that he now feels “nourished” by the role and hopes Lincoln will “stay with him forever.” Both Day-Lewis and director Steven Spielberg made their only joint television appearance on ABC, which airs Friday evening on World News with Diane Sawyer and Nightline . “This seemed like such an important thing,” said U.K.-born Day-Lewis. “The last thing I wanted to do was to desiccate the memory of the most dearly loved president of this country.” Day-Lewis said that he became familiar with Lincoln while studying up on the Civil War and Spielberg recalled going to Washington, D.C. as a youth. “I think it might have been from the cards that you got with bubble gum,” Day-Lewis said. “That was a huge currency at the school where I was and there was a big series on the Civil War. … We were constantly swapping cards back and forth to try to get the completed set.” Added Spielberg: “All I saw was a giant. I never forgot that experience. … I felt he was looking directly at me.” Spielberg added that the found the idea of making Lincoln daunting, but said that Doris Kerns-Goodwin’s Team of Rivals shed light on a part of the President he had hoped to discover. “He was awkward to look at. His voice didn’t fit his stature, and he would just disarm a room with just a crazy story that had no relevance to the issue of why they were in the room to begin with,” he said. “There were so many odd, strange things about Abraham Lincoln that I think nobody knew how to pigeonhole him.” Spielberg said he had considered fully chronicling Lincoln’s life, but decided to narrow this portrait of him to the period when he struggled to pass the 13th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution which formally abolished slavery. “We didn’t have the real estate to really give an accurate Lincoln portrait,” he told ABC News. “It would have been like a greatest-hits album. You know, all those moments you read about in class — two minutes for that, five minutes for the Gettysburg Address, let’s do a little montage of the debates.
