Ryan Lochte Angling For Gossip Girl Cameo

Ryan Lochte would love to score a cameo on Gossip Girl. The reason is simple: Blake Lively stars on Gossip Girl . Since his powerhouse performances at the London Olympics, the swimming champion has already booked guest-starring gigs on both 90210 and 30 Rock and was even considered (briefly) as a candidate for The Bachelor (he’s now out of the running). Not shabby. At the Rebecca Minkoff show at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in NYC last week, Ryan was asked what show would he love to book next? “Gossip Girl,” the 28-year-old answered with a big smile, adding that “If I’m ever [considered for a cameo on] Gossip Girl, I will not turn that down .” Why? “Because I have a big crush on Blake Lively!” Sorry man. Blake Lively married Ryan Reynolds last night in S.C. But it’s okay to crush on her still, right? At least that’s what we’re telling ourselves. [Photos: WENN.com]

Hubby Hov And BeyBey Think Changing Stinky Diapers Is “Beautiful,” Are They Ready To Make Blue Ivy A Big Sis?

Beyoncé is getting a little carried away with this motherhood thing. Apparently she and Hov are already working on making Blue Ivy a sibling too. Since the birth of daughter Blue Ivy last January, Beyoncé and Jay-Z have had no qualms about getting down and dirty when it comes to diaper duty. In fact, the proud parents‘ baby bliss has left them loving the new chore. “Actually, [Jay-Z] is very good. We both [change diapers]. I love changing diapers, I love it. I love every moment of it, it’s so beautiful. I love it all,” Beyoncé says during a Monday appearance on Anderson Live. From diaper changing champ to singing sensation, the songstress admits she frequently lulls her baby girl to sleep with sweet songs. “I make up actually a lot of crazy, corny songs,” she reveals, joking she would not give the host a taste of her talents unless he was willing to belt out “Single Ladies.” “Believe me, no one wants to see that,” Cooper answers. But, while the world may know her for her powerhouse performances, she insists she’s much like any other mother — especially in the eyes of Blue. “I’m Mommy and when [Blue] sees me — today was the first time she saw me perform in rehearsal — she was very confused,” Beyoncé, 31, shares. We don’t know anybody else who thinks baby poo is “beautiful” but apparently these two do and are already trying for a baby brother or sister for little Blue Ivy… The latest print issue of US Weekly quotes a source who says, “She definitely wants more kids,” a pal says of the star, “Jay wants a boy next so they can have one of each. They’re ready for a baby whenever it happens.” If they have another baby, what do you think they’ll name this one? Check out her interviews with Anderson Cooper below: Source

Wiz Khalifa, Ice Cube, Lupe Fiasco Mix It Up At L.A.’s Powerhouse

50 Cent, Trey Songz, Snoop Dogg surprise fans at Power 106 show, which also featured Big Sean, Jeremih, LMFAO, the Rej3ctz and T-Pain. By Felicia “The Poetess” Morris Wiz Khalifa at Power 106’s Powerhouse 2011 on Saturday Photo: MTV News LOS ANGELES — Radio station Power 106 held their annual sold-out Powerhouse concert at the Honda Center in Anaheim, California, on Saturday night, bringing together multiple generations of hip-hop stars, from West Coast OG Ice Cube to L.A.’s latest dance-craze instigators the Rej3ctz to a chart-topping visitor from out east, Wiz Khalifa . The Rej3ctz opened the show with a high-energy performance and later danced onstage with the very colorful LMFAO as they performed “Shots.” Sporting a white T-shirt and bright yellow cargo shorts, T-Pain took it up a couple notches with a string of his hits and left fans fully charged with DJ Khaled’s “All I Do Is Win.” The evening had a couple of surprises on deck: 50 Cent joined Jeremih on their collabo “Down on Me,” which Jeremih said was the first time they’ve ever performed the song together in concert. Compton’s own DJ Quik gave loyal fans what they came for, and when Lupe Fiasco pulled young crooner Trey Songz onstage during his set, screaming concertgoers raised the decibels to new heights. The Don Mega himself, Ice Cube, brought out his old N.W.A bandmate MC Ren on the song “Hello.” “It makes you feel good, being in the game as long as I have,” Ice Cube told MTV News before the show. “I done went from new school to old school and still here. You can’t do nothing but be humbled by the fact that so many rappers is gone. … I’m still here after all this time.” Cube was also the most-anticipated act of the evening by fellow performers including the headliner, Wiz Khalifa. “This is my first time performing at Powerhouse, my first time performing at an event this big, so I feel elated,” Wiz told MTV News before his set. “I’m really excited about seeing Cube.” But Khalifa had another trick up his sleeve when it came to honoring L.A.’s hip-hop roots: He brought out his “High School” co-star Snoop Dogg for one last Powerhouse surprise, no doubt leaving 18,000 fans feeling like they got their money’s worth. Swizz Beatz Says No Monster Mondays Tracks Will Make Haute Living

‘That’s really just a forum for people to promote great music,’ producer says of weekly free-music series. By Mawuse Ziegbe Swizz Beatz Photo: Sohyung Kang/ MTV News Swizz Beatz is leaving his free music on the Web. The Grammy-nominated producer’s weekly Monster Mondays series of gratis ear goodies follows in the footsteps of fellow MC and songsmith Kanye West’s G.O.O.D. Fridays campaign , but unlike ‘Ye, Swizzy maintained that his upcoming Haute Living album will be largely free of Monster records. “Monster Mondays is its own entity for right now. But will I put my first single on Monster Mondays? 100 percent. Monster Mondays, Swizzworld,100 percent. I’m gonna promote my stuff when it’s time,” Swizz recently told MTV News. “That’s really just a forum for people to promote great music, which is now turning into them shooting videos for it, labels putting up budgets for it. It’s just a great forum.” True to the spirit of the initiative, some of the music has already turned up on other projects, like the Diddy-Dirty Money track “Ass on the Floor,” which first hit the Web via Monster Mondays but ultimately ended up on the trio’s debut LP. So far, everyone from Ace Hood to Busta Rhymes has participated in the campaign — which kicked off in October — but Swizzy singled out his team-up with lyrical legend Rakim as his personal highlight of the series. “My favorite song on there is ‘King Tut.’ Getting a chance to work with Rakim and let people to just hear him, like, in 2010 when he did it. Like, that’s Rakim right there. Just to be able to say that I did that was super fun and [there’s] no politics involved. We don’t gotta deal with nobody. It’s no politics — I’m not talking to no labels, no management. It’s like, ‘Yo, you either wanna do it or not,’ ” Swizz explained of the project’s energy. Swizz has also switched up Kanye’s original music-centric blueprint by putting out a brief documentary of the creation of “Speechless,” a track that features his superstar wife Alicia Keys and longtime Ruff Ryder crony Eve riffing over Yeezy’s “Devil in a New Dress” beat. As the hitmaker is apparently in full-on collaborative mode — outside music, Swizz has also struck up partnerships with Reebok and luxury car company Aston Martin — he also got the production pupils from his New York University class in on the Monster Monday action. “Then taking it to what I did with my wife with the documentary with her and Eve, taking a whole other side and adding a documentary vibe to it. The biggest thing out of the documentary, other than them seeing the process, was it was done by some of my students from NYU,” he said. “Just taking that and adding talent with talent, it’s just fun. It’s all fun.” What Monster Mondays track do you like best so far? Let us know in the comments! Related Artists Swizz Beatz

Aretha Franklin Says Halle Berry Is Her ‘Pick’ For Biopic

Queen of Soul tells Wendy Williams she wants Oscar winner to bring her life to the big screen. By Mawuse Ziegbe Halle Berry Photo: Theo Wargo/WireImage Aretha Franklin has been vocal about which leading lady she would like to portray her on the big screen, and it appears that the Queen of Soul got what she wanted. Last year, the legendary singer sent out a press release to The Associated Press stating she wanted Oscar-winning superstar Halle Berry to tackle the lead role in an upcoming biopic about the powerhouse songstress. During a recent phone interview on “The Wendy Williams Show,” Franklin said Berry is set to star in the project. “Halle Berry is my pick,” Franklin said to a swell of cheers from the daytime-TV audience. The soul veteran said Berry has been tapped to play an adult version of Franklin but added that the rest of the cast has not been firmed up. “There’s a young Aretha that has yet to be named.” A rep for Berry did not respond to MTV News’ request for comment at press time. Franklin — who is recovering from an undisclosed illness reported to be cancer — also said the film has been in the works for years but hinted that a flick could be in production soon now that all the necessary elements are coming together. “For the last four years, we’ve been talking about [the film], and I have had a number of offers. Unfortunately, they were not good offers,” she explained. “Now, we have something on the table. They have all of the financing on one project and the second project, and he’s in the process of writing things for me to approve on the tele-film.” In September, Franklin said that, in addition to Berry, she wanted Academy Award-winning actor Denzel Washington and Oscar nominee Terrence Howard to appear in the film. The “Respect” diva had apparently already been in touch with the stars, saying that the trio were “enthusiastic about the project and have agreed to take on these roles, subject to further negotiation.” The script will be based on her 1999 autobiography “Aretha: From These Roots.” How do you think Halle Berry would do in an Aretha Franklin biopic?
