Justin Bieber Rushed To Hospital!

Justin Bieber gave everyone a huge fright after shooting scenes for a guest appearance on CSI: Crime Scene Investigation! Justin was having problems breathing as the shooting wrapped for the day and so he had to be rushed to the Providence St. Joseph’s Hospital in Burbank where he was met by his doctor and treated for an allergic reactions. Movieline has learned that Leven Rambin, whose TV credits include Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles , Grey’s Anatomy , and most recently ABC’ s Scoundrels , has been cast on the CBS crime drama in the potentially recurring role of Molly Sloan.

REVIEW: Exotic La Soga Succumbs to Standard-Issue Crime Clichés

A film loaded with interest that somehow fails to be interesting, La Soga is inspired by true events and not much else. A crime drama set in a satellite village orbiting Santiago, Dominican Republic, and occasionally New York City, it tells the story of Luisito (Manny Perez, who also wrote the film), an assassin-for-hire working for the local police and the American government to cleanse drug-dealing U.S. deportees from the streets. Social, moral, and personal themes abound, but are mostly left wandering shoeless among the extras, as Perez and American director Josh Crook get caught up in playing gangster film, Dominican-style.

AMC Orders Its Fifth Series

AMC has greenlit its fifth original series , a Seattle-set crime drama with character-driven touches formerly called The Killing . The now-untitled show is based off a Danish series called Forbrydelsen and will follow the murder of a young girl and the ensuing investigation. With executive producer and writer Veena Sud ( Cold Case ) in place and director Patty Jenkins ( Monster ) on board for the pilot, the show’s 13-episode first season will debut in 2011. Self-important people will start conversations about it at parties thereafter. [ THR ]

Danish director Nicolas Winding Refn created something of a fanboy stir last month when he dropped hints about wanting to adapt Wonder Woman for the screen. Some thought Refn was joking; after all, his best known films ( The Pusher Trilogy , Bronson ) are foreign-made indies rendered with unflinching brutality and pitch-black humor. But Refn — one of the more thoughtful, articulate, visionary and prolific filmmakers working today at any level, like Werner Herzog with a bludgeon — wasn’t kidding at all. Hell, if Sam Raimi can do it, why can’t he?
