Miami-Dade Police responded to reports of shots fired in the area of NW 135th Street and 1st Avenue in North Miami. According to the “Act Up” rapper, alleged shooters fired on her cherry-red Mercedes G-Wagon from a vehicle with no lights. “They just started shooting,” Yung Miami explained to her boyfriend and father of her unborn child, the producer Southside . “They had their lights off so I never saw them like whoever it was they kept their lights off. I don’t know where they came from. It came from behind. The shots came from behind. They started from behind because when I got to the stop sign I was like ‘Oh sh** somebody’s shooting.’” Miami-Dade Police responded to calls of shots fired in the area of NW 135th St. & 1st Ave in North Miami just before 1 AM. While on Noreaga’s Drink Champ’s podcast, the Illmatic rapper detailed how the late artist passed on collaborating with him because he didn’t own his masters. It turned out Prince showed up at Nas’ I Am… album release party and he figured it was his opportunity to make a song with the Purple One. “I sought him because he came to my ‘I Am . . .’ release party,” Nas recalled to NORE. “I said, ‘Yo, look, man, let’s do this. Let’s do this song.’ And he was like, ‘Do you own your masters?’ But he blew my sh*t because I was like, ‘I don’t. And I’m far from it, because I owe this label like four, five albums’. . . I was like, ‘Damn.’” Prince told Nas to give him a call after he handled his business, but unfortunately a collab didn’t manifest before his untimely passing. Added Nas, “He kind of helped me see the future.” True indeed.

Source: Shun Atkins / Radio One The unfortunate custody battle over NIpsye Hussle’s daughter Emani is still going and now his daughter’s mother is saying she’s not unfit but her lifestyle has drastically changed since Nipsey’s death. via: TMZ Tanisha Foster says in legal docs, obtained by TMZ, she and Nipsey shared responsibility for parenting 10-year-old Emani . She seems to be rebutting the family’s contention she’s not capable of caring for the child, saying they are ignoring the fact Nipsey provided for her … setting her up in an apartment and providing for her livelihood. She’s insinuating she’s been cut off and that’s not what Nipsey would want. She also says, she’s not the only person involved in the case with a “problem past,” but she says she’s choosing not to “sling mud.” She says she can’t pay rent, she’s been cut off financially and is in desperate shape. Foster notes the lifestyle she and Emani were used to before Nipsey’s death won’t be the same … but she is willing to make it work to the best of her ability. She’s asking the judge to at least give her visitation rights. Foster says, “If everyone was truly interested in doing what is best for Emani, they would treat me as her mother and not in the manner that they have. Nipsey’s family was awarded temporary custody of Emani, claiming Tanisha is an unfit mother .
