We’ve known for years that Jimmy Fallon has a problem with laughing. He used to often break character during skits on Saturday Night Live and he’ll frequently crack up over his own jokes while hosting The Tonight Show on NBC. But does Jimmy Fallon also have a drinking problem? Concerns over the comedian’s penchant for boozing reached such a crescendo in January that NBC Entertainment chairman Bob Greenblatt actually addressed the chatter with reporters . “He’s good. He doesn’t have a drinking problem,” Greenblatt said many months ago, adding simply: “He goes out and has fun. He’s had some accidents. Aside from that, he’s in better shape than he’s ever been.” The nature of those accidents, however, is what started some people talking about this issue. Fallon severed his ring finger on a table in June 2015. He chipped his tooth “trying to open medicine for his injured finger” a few months later, as Fallon himself described it. In October of last year, he cut his hand on a bottle of Jägermeister. And in September of this year, a pretty wasted Fallon was seen alone at an New York City punk bar at 3 a.m, which sparked this latest round of NBC concerns. According to The Hollywood Reporter, meanwhile, Josh Lieb recently stepped down as Tonight Show executive producer after signing a deal with Universal Television There could be any number of reasons why he would leave Fallon… but could the host’s drinking problem be among them? A network insider tells The New York Post that some executives “ feared Jimmy was splitting up with his wife over his drinking,” although the two have since patched things up. But this doesn’t mean all is well for Fallon. “He is a heavy drinker,” another source tells the newspaper. “He sees himself as somebody who needs image rehabilitation… He knows he needs to be responsible. He has two kids. He has cut back on his drinking.” And while Fallon still hosts the top-rated show on late night television, a few staff members have left to work for CBS rival James Corden. This has just made matters worse. “Fallon is insanely jealous of Corden,” a source tells Page Six, adding: “There’s been some upheaval, and Jimmy hasn’t handled it well. He has the full backing of NBC and isn’t going anywhere any time soon. “Jimmy is one of NBC’s biggest assets, and we’re extremely proud that The Tonight Show continues to be the late-night leader in all metrics, including ratings and social-media awareness,” Greenblatt tells The Post in a new statement. Maybe I’m heartless…but here she is smoking…something recommended for LUPUS…and I guess for rehab for actual addicts…replacing their substance of choice..that we’ll just pretend is depression and anxiety and not prescription pills and heroin….cuz that wouldn’t be very Disney of her…. It’s been a real tough time to be Ryan Edwards lately. Well, to be fair, it’s never seemed like a great adventure to be Ryan Edwards: the Teen Mom OG star has been pretty obnoxious for as long as he’s been on television . Remember back in the 16 and Pregnant days when Maci gave birth to Bentley and Ryan was distant and immature and weird? Yeah, not much has changed. And if it has, it’s only changed for the worse. Just a couple of months ago, Ryan got himself in the news because he was bragging about killing cats . No, really, that’s a thing this terrible human being did. He used a “dead cats” hashtag and everything. Ryan said he was upset because feral cats had been peeing around his house and scratching his boat — heaven forbid animals have bodily functions and natural instincts, right? — but after he found out he was being investigated for felony animal cruelty , he changed his tune. According to a source, he claimed that he made everything up about the cat murders , and he did it all “to build hype.” It seems like the investigation isn’t over yet, so we guess only time will tell if Ryan is awful for killing animals or awful for pretending that he did for attention. All this is to say that Ryan is the worst. His title of “The Worst” is so well-deserved that in this week’s episode of Teen Mom OG, his own father disowned him . In an interview with a producer, Ryan’s dad, Larry, explained that he kicked Ryan out of the house, and that it was “a long time coming.” “I’m over his lies. I’m over his laziness, selfishness. I’m done with it,” Larry said. “I’m done with him forever. I don’t want him anywhere around me ever.” “And I never wanna be around him ever ’cause I’m tired of that bloodsucking leech. I’m over it.” It seemed like a really harsh way for a father to talk about his son. But based on some other clips from the episode, Larry might just have another reason for kicking Ryan out. See, a lot of people seem to think that Ryan may have developed a little drug problem thanks, in large part, to his appearance in the new episode: “Ryan is starting to look like he’s on something?” one Teen Mom fan observed on Twitter. “Like he’s tweaking on meth? I hope not, but his eyes were bugging out!” “Is Ryan on drugs?” another fan wondered. “His eyes never look focused. It makes me nervous. Selena Gomez is serious about getting her mental and emotional stability in check: after cancelling 34 tour dates, Selena admitted herself to rehab , where Us Magazine reports she has remained since August, located at a Tennessee facility. If you thought that this was a celeb on another “get well tour,” kicking back and binge-waching Netflix, you’d be wrong. The report claims that the rehab — outside of Nashville — is a “super intense” facility. The source states , “Selena is dealing with lupus, but this break is to focus on her mental health.” Adding, “She can go to a very dark place,” the source claims that the stay isn’t strictly inpatient. Gomez was spotted out at dinner with her family at a Texas Roadhouse in Tennessee, where the manager said she was “just like any other guest.” Though it was reported just two days ago that Gomez was out of rehab , the mag asserts that she’s still definitely in, and is focused on her treatment. Gomez was previously admitted to the Meadows rehab in Arizona, which specializes in substance abuse. However, in April 2016, Selena claimed that her admission didn’t have anything to do with drugs or alcohol, but as treatment for her chronic lupus diagnosis. Gomez claimed that she was receiving chemotherapy treatment in order to squash her autoimmune disease’s symptoms, and even lashed out, saying “I was in rehab after chemo for my lupus, you jerks.” In August 2016, it was reported that Gomez was suffering intense breakdown symptoms , and also alleged that she had been drinking and partying too much to focus on her mental well-being. Needless to say, drinking and partying isn’t a great idea for someone suffering from a serious autoimmune disease. Later in August, Selena had a very public spat with ex-boyfriend , Justin Bieber, over what he shared — and didn’t share — on his social media accounts, resulting in Bieber suspending his Instagram activity. Some speculated that her embarrassing moment also drove her to rehab. Selena also alleged that Justin had cheated on her — and vice versa — in a deleted Instagram snap, but as y’all know, the internet never forgets. But while her team insisted that Selena was being treated for “anxiety, panic attacks and depression,” rumors that Selena had been struggling with substance abuse issues began to circulate online. Whatever the case, the singer has apparently completed her course of treatment, as she was spotted by several fans during an afternoon on the town in Tennessee yesterday. Selena and friends reportedly hit up an arcade and had dinner at a Texas Roadhouse not far from her treatment site. The dressed-down singer happily posed for photos with fans and appeared to be in good spirits, onlookers say. While it’s possible that Selena returned for further treatment after her evening out, sources who are familiar with the facility where she stayed say it’s unusual for patients to leave and return. Which means that even though she stayed around the area after her release, she most likely headed home the following day. One witness tells Radar Online that while some fans leapt at the opportunity to take a selfie with the pop star, Selena’s presence went mostly unnoticed . “You could tell she was hoping to be recognized by someone at the arcade,” the source says. “But not even the worker getting her ice cream knew who she was.” It’s been a tough year for Selena who – in addition to the usual endless tabloid scrutiny of her love life – was forced to publicly cope with a debilitating illness. Selena suffers from lupus and in October of last year, she revealed that she had been forced to take time off due to chemotherapy treatments. Insiders say the illness prompted Selena to slow down and pay more attention to her overall well-being – mental health included. The rumors about why Selena decided to undergo in-patient treatment are sure to persist, but the pop star seems unperturbed by the rumor mill. Jon Polito, a veteran actor who was a favorite of The Coen Brothers, died on Thursday night after being taken off life support. He was 65 years old. On the big screen, Polito was likely best known for roles in The Big Lebowski and Miller’s Crossing. But he appeared in over 100 films throughout his impressive career, while also appearing on such hits TV shows as Seinfeld, Modern Family and Homicide: Life on the Streets. Polito was diagnosed with melanoma in 2008. He recently suffered an infection following a surgery and reports confirm he slipped into a coma Sunday. Director John McNaughton then broke the sad news of his passing on Friday morning. “Jon was a born actor and will be deeply missed by his legion of friends, fans, family and of course his long time partner, Darryl Armbruster to whom I send my condolences,” said McNaughton, adding: R.I.P. old pal.” A native of Philadelphia, Polito also counted roles on Broadway as part of his extensive resume.
