Mindy Kaling Gives Birth To Baby Girl, Leaves Father A Mystery Congrats are in order for Mindy Kaling ! The star of “The Mindy Show” and “A Wrinkle In Time” finally gave birth to her baby girl, who she named Katherine Swati Kaling, in honor of her late mother, Swati. However, if you thought the baby’s arrival meant that the shroud of mystery would be lifted on the identity of the man who fathered her…you were sorely mistaken. Mindy has famously refused to reveal the name of her child’s father throughout her pregnancy — to the point that not even close friends know who he is. It seems that she’s keeping that same energy now that her bundle of joy has arrived. According to The Blast , Mindy left the area of the baby’s birth certificate that names the father completely blank. So officially…no one but Mindy and whoever else, if anyone, she has chosen to tell will ever know who fathered her child. Sheesh. We get that Mindy’s private…but this “mystery baby daddy” narrative almost makes it seem as if the father is someone she had no business sleeping with. But perhaps we’re reading too much into it. After all, she’s not the first actress to pull this one…January Jones and Minnie Driver have each kept their sons’ fathers secret from the public. Perhaps it’s simply none of our business. Doesn't it feel like we've been dealing with divorce drama from Kailyn Lowry and Javi Marroquin for years now? Maybe it's because we've seen so much of it play out on Teen Mom 2, but whatever the reason, it's been overwhelming for a while now. We know that their issues began in late 2015, after Javi blamed Kailyn for a miscarriage. After that, the timeline gets a little muddled: they've said that they legally separated that December, meaning that while Javi was deployed, they technically weren't together. But on the show, we saw them try to work out their relationship while he was overseas. It seems like even though things were over between them for a long time, they were hesitant to end things officially. After all, their divorce wasn't finalized until this past winter . When Javi came home last summer, we saw him desperate to try to make things work with Kailyn, and we saw him react poorly when she wasn't receptive to his attempts. It's all very confusing, and very sad. And with this new sneak peek from the upcoming season of Teen Mom 2, it's clear that things haven't gotten much better. In the clip, Javi drops Lincoln off at Kailyn's home after spending some time with him — by the way, Lincoln is still as adorable as ever. Javi tells her that he has to go to his lawyer's office to sign some papers, then the divorce would be official. “No turning back now,” he says. “This is it. We made it.” “Or we didn't make it,” Kailyn points out. It's clearly an awkward moment between the two of them, and Javi only makes it more awkward by going in for a kiss. Yes, after informing his soon-to-be ex-wife that their marriage is almost over forever, he thinks it's a good time for a kiss. But hey, at least it seems like they don't hate each other as much as they did last season! Then again, she's not visibly pregnant here, so who knows what these new episodes will bring. Well, the big day is almost here. Kailyn Lowry will welcome her third child sometime in the next couple weeks, and as has been the case throughout her pregnancy, she’s staying tight-lipped about the details. Initially, Kailyn wouldn’t even reveal the name of her baby daddy , and now she’s keeping mum about her due date and the kid’s gender. Obviously, it’s her right to decide what information about her personal life is made public, but considering how open she’s been in the past, we suppose it’s not surprising that fans have been caught off guard by Kailyn’s secrecy. And since this is 2017, it’s equally unsurprising that those same fans are clamoring for information on social media. Earlier today, Kail reveled that she was gearing up for her final doctor’s appointment before her due date. “One more appointment today! Getting closer & closer,” Lowry tweeted. Several of Kail’s followers sensed the opportunity to press her further information and pounced on it. “You got your names picked out yet? Or will it just be ‘baby’? lol,” one fan tweeted. “Still no names, baby Lo it is until further notice! Lol,” Lowry replied. It’s unclear if Kailyn is saying she’s still not ready to reveal the name, or is she’s suggesting she has yet to pick one out. The latter option is the more salacious, so of course, that’s the one fans seem to be favoring. As a result, Kailyn is currently awash in suggestions and admonitions from fans who are shocked – shocked! – that she still hasn’t named her unborn child. At this point, we’re hoping Kail is enjoying all the attention. In fact, we hope she keeps it going and refuses to reveal the baby’s name and gender until the next season of Teen Mom 2. Not the one that premieres later this month, mind you. That one has already wrapped filming. We’re talking about the season that doesn’t air until 2018. It would be the ultimate power play, a reminder even though her personal life is integral to her career, she’s under no obligation to share everything with the public. Bristol Palin is yet to reveal the name of her baby daddy. But she has now come out and revealed the name of her baby. And it’s the same exact name as just chosen by another celebrity. “When you find out Kristin Cavallari named her baby the exact name you are naming yours what a weird coincidence,” Palin wrote on Instagram Monday night. “Congrats on your new bundle, and I do love her name…Still naming my baby girl Sailor!” Indeed, Cavallari and husband Jay Cutler welcomed their third child into the world this week. Sailor, meanwhile, follows a theme in the Palin household, one in which most kids are named after nounds. Bristol itself is a city in Alaska; while Bristol Palin’s siblings are named Trig, Willow, Track and Piper. And Bristol, of course, is the mother of Tripp. The former Dancing with the Stars contestant announced in June that she was once again pregnant out of wedlock, sounding ashamed and embarrassed over the development at the time. But since she’s gone on to say the baby was planned, despite Bristol’s status as a single woman and the fact that she called off her wedding mere weeks prior to expecting once again. Maybach Music boss is not a suspect nor is he being sought for questioning in a murder, police confirm to MTV News. By Rob Markman Rick Ross Photo: Getty Images After police found a dead body in front of a Miami Gardens home owned by Rick Ross , the Maybach Music boss’ name began to pop up in connection to the killing, but an area detective confirmed to MTV News on Wednesday (February 29) that the rapper is not a suspect, nor is he being sought for questioning. Miami Gardens officers responded to a 911 call at approximately 7 a.m. ET after reports of gun shots. When police arrived at the scene of the crime they found a dead body in the yard of a house owned by the rapper, whose real name is William Roberts. Though Ross owns the property, it is not where he resides. “He lives at a different location,” Detective Michael Wright told MTV News. The murder is still under investigation and police declined to reveal the name of the deceased at press time. But it seems Rick Ross is definitely in the clear. In other news, the Double-M-Genius is set to head to court in May for a case with far less serious ramifications. Former L.A. drug kingpin “Freeway” Rick Ross is suing the rapper who he claims is unlawfully profiting from his name. The case was initially thrown out in 2010, but has now been reopened with a trial date set for early May. A little over a week ago, Rick Ross was named MTV News’ Hottest MC in the Game , nabbing the coveted position on a list of 10. ‘Wild Thing’ MC, also charged with possession of an assault weapon, sentenced to one day in county jail and three years of probation. By Gil Kaufman Tone-Loc Photo: Todd Williamson/ Getty Images Three months after his arrest on weapons and domestic-violence charges, “Wild Thing” rapper Tone-Loc (born Anthony Smith) pleaded no contest to one count of possession of an assault weapon (a Colt AR-15 Sporter) and one count of corporal injury to his child’s mother. The 45-year-old Los Angeles MC, best known for late-’80s hits such as “Funky Cold Medina,” was arrested June 18 on suspicion of felony domestic violence following an alleged physical altercation with the mother of one of his children. Police did not reveal the name of the alleged victim, and Loc was released on $50,000 bail after three hours in jail. According to a release from the Los Angeles County district attorney’s office, Loc was sentenced to one day in county jail, three years of formal probation, 30 days of community service and 52 weeks of anger-management counseling by Burbank Superior Court Judge Patrick Hegarty. The D.A.’s office specified that the firearm was not used in the domestic assault, but that the investigation found the rapper in possession of an unregistered assault weapon. The rapper, who has dabbled in acting over the years, has recently become the subject of controversy thanks to his selection as the entertainment for Syracuse University’s upcoming Midnight Madness basketball celebration. The event, which will take place October 14, is intended to get students excited about the upcoming season.
