The 35-year-old recently penned a piece for The Cut about the time a church chaperone “hijacked him” and another boy in a hotel room and read them the bible while stark naked. According to Huang, the harasser came in and asked to use the shower and then came out with an erect penis while the boys sat in horror. “At first I just looked away and focused on the basketball game. He had a big d*** and guys with big d***s always enjoyed walking around locker rooms with the s*** on front street. I figured he was just some weirdo trying to show out and air dry like Cuba Gooding Jr. in Jerry Maguire. After a few seconds of trying to look away, I realized he wasn’t moving from the foot of my bed and that’s when panic set in. I felt trapped. I looked toward my roommate who seemed just as flustered, but we weren’t sure what was happening. Was this okay? Could I say something? I was a guest of the church, but what the f***.” He then added that the man politely picked up the bible and read it aloud. “You’re never ready for it and you never think it would happen to you, but it was happening and it kept going,” wrote Huang. “He took out a Bible and started to read scripture with his d*** hard. My chest started to tighten and I couldn’t breathe, fearful for what would happen next. The panic turned to outrage and ultimately humiliation. I’d never felt that humiliated in my life, trapped in a bed with no way out. I thought about fighting him, but he was a full-grown man three times our size. I thought about picking up the phone and calling the police, but stopped myself.” The restaurateur also added that he didn’t tell because his friend was a “troublemaker” and he was the “weird Chinese friend” and thought people wouldn’t believe them. This marks the first time that Huang has shared his story in 20 years and yes, he says he felt compelled to share after the stomach-churning Weinstein scandal. Atlanta Woman Stabbed Roommate To Death After An Argument Over A Missed Ride A 22-year-old Atlanta woman is in police custody for allegedly stabbed her roommate for leaving her stranded downtown. According to AJC reports: It happened early Saturday morning at his apartment on Bouldercrest Road. The police report said Charles Rudison was stabbed to death by his roommate, Breyana Davis, 22, after Davis ditched Rudison in downtown Atlanta. Rudison was a Dacula Publix distribution center employee, his Facebook page said. He’d gone to high school at Gwinnett County’s Mill Creek High and filled the page with contemplations on life and how to be a better man. Davis called 911 at 3:45 a.m. Saturday to tell how it all ended. She said she and another friend went downtown with Rudison, according to the report. Rudison and the other friend were angry with Davis after she left, because they had to catch a ride through the Lyft service. Once they arrived to Ashford East Village apartments, a confrontation ensued. Davis claimed Rudison pushed her down. Then came the blade, an 8-inch-long butcher knife. “At that moment the suspect grabbed a pot of boiling water from the stove and threw it on the victim,” a responding officer wrote. “She then grabbed a knife and stabbed him in the chest.” Davis said she was going to call 911 “because he had tried to attack her.” That wasn’t true, the witness said. It took only about 20 seconds from the time the two walked in the apartment to the moment when the blade pierced Rudison’s chest, said the witness, who couldn’t immediately be reached for further comment Monday by The Atlanta Journal-Constitution. White People Don’t Understand Why Black Students Don’t Want To Live With Them Some white students at a liberal arts college in Southern California don’t understand why minority students don’t want to live with them according to Washington Post : In most respects, the roommate-wanted notice seemed routine. Three students at the Claremont colleges in Southern California were looking for a fourth this summer to join them in an off-campus house. They added a caveat in parentheses: “POC only,” they said, using a common abbreviation for people of color. When a classmate challenged that condition, the Pitzer College student who posted the notice on Facebook pushed back. “It’s exclusive [because] I don’t want to live with any white folks,” wrote Karé Ureña, who is black. The online comments touched off a debate this week over race at Pitzer and neighboring colleges, one that flared into national headlines after the Claremont Independent student magazine wrote about it. To some, Ureña’s request was completely understandable following a racially charged year when many students of color had demanded more support from the administration. To others, it was simple racism to exclude potential roommates based on skin color. Ureña, 20, a junior at Pitzer, and one of her roommates, Sajo Jefferson, 19, a sophomore at Pomona, defended their query in a statement to The Washington Post. Ureña describes herself as Afro-Caribbean and Jefferson identifies as a multiracial black person. Minority communities on campus, they said, constantly must deal with issues that arise when they are surrounded by classmates who don’t understand where they are coming from and have little interest in finding out. “When and if you understand this context, it becomes clear that students of color seeking a living space that is all-POC is not only reasonable, but can be necessary,” they wrote to The Post. “We live in a world where the living circumstances of POC are grounded in racist social structures that we can not opt out of.
