Lamar Sally Says Sherri Shepherd Has Abandoned Their Child By Surrogate Sherri Shepherd’s estranged husband Lamar Sally says that when she dropped him, she also dropped their unborn child. Apparently the former ‘The View’ host has been so busy running around with new boo Johnny Gill and practicing for her Broadway role that she’s simply forgotten to sign the birth order for her recently delivered surrogate son…or even go to visit him. Via PageSix : When it comes to their child born via surrogate, Sherri Shepherd‘s estranged husband, Lamar Sally, wants the television personality to take responsibility. “I never thought in a million years she would turn her back on L.J. [the couple’s son born via surrogate],” Sally told People. The 44-year-old scriptwriter said the former couple agreed to use a surrogate with his sperm and a donor egg. He explained that all the forms were signed except for a birth order, which states who the intended parents are. “I didn’t think twice about it,” he said. In April, Sally said he was blindsided when she asked for a divorce. “This is six months into the pregnancy, and I’m just like, ‘Really?’ She said, ‘We’ll co-parent. We’ll work it out.’” The surrogate gave birth on Aug. 5, just three months after the couple filed for divorce, but the “Rodgers and Hammerstein’s Cinderella” star wasn’t present for the delivery. Sally claimed that Shepherd, 47, has made no contact with the baby and has taken him off of her insurance. “I think it’s the worst thing in the world for L.J. to look at his birth certificate at 16 and see it says ‘Mother unknown,’” he said. In July, Sally was drafting papers to prevent Shepherd from walking away without paying child support. The pretrial hearing is set for Oct. 2. Damn! Do you think Sherri is avoiding the baby to avoid paying child a huge support ?? Either way this is a seriously messed up situation.
