Kylie Jenner: Is She REALLY Faking Her Pregnancy?!

As you've no doubt heard by now, Kylie Jenner is pregnant with her first child. We think. Kylie has yet to confirm that she's expecting , and a surprisingly large contingent of fans believe that's because she's not actually knocked up. Why would she engage in such a foolish stunt? What makes Kylie's biggest fans think she's misleading the public? And why the hell won't she just come out and say whether she's pregnant? Join us as we put on our Sherlock Holmes caps to answer these questions and more: 1. Body of Evidence Kylie is keeping mum on the issue of her rumored pregnancy. That hasn’t stopped her from posting on social media, of course, but as you can tell from the photo above, she’s been going to great lengths to conceal her midsection. 2. Deceptive Selfies? Naturally Kylie is still posting selfies, and fans are putting them under the microscope in search of a baby bump, but thus far, no solid evidence has emerged. 3. Kylie’s Closeup Kylie obsessives are so desperate for proof they’ve cited THIS photo–a closeup of Kylie’s face–as evidence that she’s knocked up. We kid you not; several fans have commented on Kylie’s “obvious pregnancy face.” 4. Snapchat Slip-Up? Of course, it’s impossible to post on social media as often as Kylie does without occasionally revealing more than one wants to. Some fans think Kylie messed up with this Snapchat post from early November that appears to show her buying tampons. 5. Offspring Bonanza Others think it’s suspicious that three Kardashian women are expecting children at the same time … and that the news coincides with a recent decline in the family’s popularity. 6. But Why Would Kylie Lie? Obviously, the Kards aren’t averse to publicity stunts, but a fake pregnancy would be ridiculous even by Kris Jenner’s standards. Still, that hasn’t stopped fans from compiling a number of theories as to why Kylie would pretend to have a bun in the oven … View Slideshow

Four Times The ‘Awkward’ Ski Trip’s Chaperones Were Conveniently MIA

Let Tuesday night’s mid-season finale of “Awkward” be a lesson in adult supervision. While Eva/Amber was off taking pregnancy tests, Juke was unraveling and Sherlock Sadie was unleashing her inner Olivia Benson, the PHHS senior class ski trip chaperones were doing anything but…chaperoning. Benedict Cumberbatch Is Star Trek 2’s Villain

Here’s cause for excitement for J.J. Abrams ’s Star Trek sequel , set to debut May 2013: British actor Benedict Cumberbatch has signed on to join returning cast members Chris Pine, Zachary Quinto, and Co. Better news: He’s reportedly playing the villain. If your first thought is “Benewhat Cumberwho?” see why you should take this as very good news after the jump. Thirty five year-old Cumberbatch has been active in theater, TV, and film for a decade, but had a banner last few years with roles in The Whistleblower , BBC’s Sherlock , and this awards season’s Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy and War Horse . His acerbic take on Sherlock Holmes is probably his best known and best loved work of late, but his turn as Gary Oldman ’s skeptical but loyal right hand man in Tinker Tailor is another recent highlight; next year he’ll pull double duty in The Hobbit voicing the dragon Smaug and the Necromancer for Peter Jackson. (If you were lucky/smart enough to catch last year’s brilliant British satire Four Lions , you might recall Cumberbatch’s cameo as a frustrated negotiator trying in vain to break through to a bunch of inept terrorists.) There’s a somewhat delicate, dangerous edge to Cumberbatch that could play well against the all-American machismo of Pine’s Kirk in Star Trek 2 , though details on Cumberbatch’s character have yet to be revealed. And look! Tinker Tailor co-star Tom Hardy , another Brit breakout, had this to say of Cumberbatch’s acting prowess from back when they starred in the 2007 BBC biopic Stuart: A Life Backwards . So take it from fellow one-time Trek villain Hardy ( Star Trek Nemesis ) and the growing legion of stateside Cumberbatch fanatics: This casting sounds like a promising move on Abrams’ part. What say you, Trekkers? [ Deadline , Variety ]

‘Sherlock Holmes’ Villain Praises Nemesis Robert Downey Jr.

‘Mad Men’ star Jared Harris reveals how he’ll live up to Professor Moriarty’s rep in ‘A Game of Shadows.’ By Josh Wigler Jude Law and Robert Downey Jr. in “Sherlock Holmes: A Game Of Shadows” Photo: Daniel Smith Every coin has two sides, every number an opposite. In the case of Sherlock Holmes, his other half is Professor Moriarty, the shadowy criminal mastermind who serves as the greatest threat to the world’s greatest detective — quite a feat, really, considering that the character directly appeared in only two of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s original stories. Click for exclusive photos from Fall’s biggest flicks. But Moriarty is stepping out of the darkness and into the light when “Mad Men” actor Jared Harris fills out his villainous shoes, playing opposite Robert Downey Jr.’s Holmes in “Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows,” which arrives in theaters this holiday season. As MTV News’ Fall Movie Preview continues, we spoke with Harris about what goes into portraying such an iconic (if often unseen) villain, and all the red herrings and moral ambiguity that come with the package. MTV : Professor Moriarty is a character with great history in the “Sherlock Holmes” universe and beyond. What kind of research and preparation went into getting into the spirit of the character? Jared Harris : Well, I tried to hatch some worldwide domination plots. [ Laughs ] What’s interesting is that when he appears in the Sherlock Holmes books, he doesn’t appear very much; he’s talked about, but you don’t see him very often. I thought a little bit about previous incarnations of him. But there were two things that were tricky about this: that convention of who that character was in the Sherlock Holmes stories, this sort of arch nemesis/supervillain. It’s been borrowed so often that you can’t just go back and do it the way it was, because it seems like a clich
