Jared Padalecki does battle on a weekly basis with monsters and other creatures on the long-running CW hit, Supernatural. But the actor admitted in March that his real struggle has been with clinical depression, telling Variety that there were times he talked to a doctor about not being “happy with where I am in life.” Perhaps along those lines, the star canceled appearances in Rome and Australia last week, telling Twitter followers he was in “urgent” need of his family and asking for “all the love” they could provide. The Vampire Diaries isn’t exactly heading into its Season 6 finale with a great deal of momentum. Does anyone out there really care whether or not Damon takes The Cure? It feels like a contrived storyline because we know Nina Dobrev is leaving , so making her human (as actually did take place on The Vampire Diaries Season 6 Episode 20 ) was the easiest way for the show to go about it Now Elena can either die (which would be awesome, giving Damon quite the guilt complex heading into Season 7) or simply leave Mystic Falls to start a new life elsewhere (by far the most likely scenario). Watch The Vampire Diaries Season 6 Episode 20 Online But Damon? Come on. We know he won’t take The Cure and hearing him constantly express his love for Elena has grown very old. Moreover, this story has been done before. The series itself even acknowledged that fact via flashback tonight. So, no, we can’t say that Damon suffering through some kind of existential crisis is edge-of-your-seat, season-ending suspense type of stuff. Lily Salvatore has been a solid addition, however. Her disdain for Stefan is fascinating to watch, as it both tugs at our heartstrings (poor Stefan) and also makes us scared for what sort of wrath she and her Heretic friends have in store. We all know Kai will somehow lead them out of 1903 (after they finish his delicious breakfast, that is). As for Alaric and Jo, Matt was right even before the latter learned she was having twins who would become the target of his her coven: they have no reason to stick around and every reason to leave. Little miss Blue steals the small screen again… Pics Of Blue Ivy From Beyonce’s “Blue” Video Earlier this week, Beyonce dropped a massive 13 track, 17 video self-titled new album featuring everyone from Drake to Hubby Hov and even her daughter Blue Ivy. The almost-2-year-old little miss Carter made her small screen debut on the track and in the video for the song titled “Blue,” in which mommy Beysus gushes over her mini me in footage from their family vacay earlier this summer. Date Night succeeds chiefly in making the work that its two stars do on the same major television network seem anything but mainstream. NBC’ s primetime wonder twins Tina Fey and Steve Carell face a strange, almost quaint crossroads in their career: Having conquered the small screen, the received show biz wisdom would demand they dominate the big one. It may be time to call that model of stardom outmoded, especially if these are the paces they must be put through. I’m not sure what other explanation would account for their agreeing to headline such a straight shot up the middle; it’s a little discomfiting to watch, even as their presence adds a sizable compensation to this broad, hectic and occasionally endearing take on the screwball set-up.
