Edward Furlong: Back in the Slammer

Edward Furlong has somehow landed back in a jail cell. Again. The troubled Terminator 2 star got popped last month for allegedly violating a restraining order taken out against him by his ex-girlfriend Rachel Kneeland. The restraining order was in place after he was arrested for shoving her . Furlong was released on $50,000 bail following that arrest, but yesterday during a court hearing, a judge decided to raise the amount to $100K. Just because? We have no idea. But he hasn’t paid it, at least not yet, and was remanded into custody. Another hearing is set for later this month. It’s unclear if he’ll be out by then … or if he should be.

Tia Mowry: Nearly Nude for PETA!

Tia Mowry has a passion for Vegan recipes . And to promote what she believes to be a healthy dietary alternative, the Style Network star has become the latest celebrity to strip down for PETA. But not all the way down. She isn’t making like Khloe Kardashian nude here. But she is rocking nothing but a lettuce apron: Says the 34-year old: “The more you learn about the benefits of being vegan, the more you become alive and the more you become aware of why it’s a really great decision. Not only am I helping myself, I’m helping the animals out there, I’m helping the environment – going vegan, I feel great.” She doesn’t look half bad, either.

Ghost Recon Movie: Michael Bay to Direct?

Fun fact: Michael Bay has only had two films reach above a 50% rating on Rotten Tomatoes. But when it comes to giant action flicks, there’s nobody….not better…what’s the word I’m looking for? Let’s go with “Explodier.” That’s why Bay is working with Ubisoft and Warner Bros. to develop a movie adaptation of the  Ghost Recon video game. The director, who is currently working on  Transformers 4 , may or may not direct the film. That all depends on what direction the screenwriter–yet to be found–decides to go with the project. Two other Ubisoft properties,  Assassin’s Creed and  Splinter Cell , are also in development as feature films at the moment. Who would your ideal director be for the  Ghost Recon movie ?

You’ld probably be shocked at which big, important famous people are gamers in their free time, but TheFeed’s Andrew Pfister is not.

Morning Hangover — April Is Catch-Up Month

I cannot wait to play Splinter Cell: Conviction , but there aren’t the string of must-have games being released in April as we’ve seen in the first few months of 2010. Next month, of course, that changes again, with games like Alan Wake finally arriving on store shelves. I’m thinking about catching up on some downloadable content in Mass Effect 2 and Assassin’s Creed II and taking care of some unfinished business: beating Mega Man 9 . Mega Man 10 is calling me! Mid-Day Discussion: Quickie iPad Impressions

It’s the Monday after a holiday, so my work day has been pretty hectic so far. Whenever I have a chance, I’ve been booting up my iPad and playing with Apple’s latest touch-fueled device. I’ll return with much deeper hands-on impressions of the iPad soon, but here are quick thoughts: The landscape keyboard actually makes writing e-mails feasible, not a pain Moving in and out of applications is so fast it almost lack of multi-tasking irrelevant An iPad is, by far, the coolest way to spend a lazy Sunday on the couch Games are fairly expensive, especially ones based on existing franchises, and rushed The “oooh” moment from non-techies comes from flipping a book’s page with your finger I shouldn’t have woken up at 4am, as the iPad didn’t sell out and I could have slept in Dear Time , no one is going to pay for and download a brand-new Time app every week If you have any other questions, I’ll be watching the comments! Plenty more coverage soon. Have something to share? Sitting on a news tip? E-mail me . You can also follow me on Twitter . Apple – Twitter – IPad – Online Communities – Social Networking

Nugget From The Net: Unreleased Final Fight Intro Confuses And Amuses

The following video, posted over at Capcom-Unity.com , may or may not be the unreleased intro for the Japanese version of the classic brawler Final Fight , but either way, it’s one of the most amazingly bizarre gaming gems I’ve seen in a while. Honestly, if “Many violences are happening!!” doesn’t get you geared up for Final Fight: Double Impact hitting PlayStation Network and Xbox Live Arcade next week, I don’t know what will. Bradley Cooper Is ‘Dark Fields’ Dashing

Hangover hunk Bradley Cooper is hard at work filming his new movie Dark Fields and we gotta say, “hubba hubba.” Tall, dark, and looking oh so handsome in that pin-striped suit, we’re sure all the female onlookers were more than happy to watch him run through the streets of New York City, over and over and over again. If co-star Abbie Cornish’s stand-in is ever sick, we’d be more than happy to fill in.
