Arrow Season 4 Episode 9 Recap: A Dahrk Christmas

Here is how you know that  Arrow Season 4 Episode 9 was a seriously eventful winter finale of this CW smash hit: Because Oliver and Felicity got engaged… and yet that was scarcely even a significant part of the hour. Watch Arrow Season 4 Episode 9 Online Yes, you may go ahead and celebrate, Olicity fans. But that celebration may be very short-lived. Because Felicity may be dead, Viewers will be left wondering whether or not she’s the corpse in the much-ballyhooed grave after Oliver outed Damien Darhk’s identity after the villain used a drone to kill innocent civilians during a “clean up the bay” event. He responded by taking Felicity, Thea and Diggle captive and then by giving Oliver a demonstration of “Genesis” when Oliver attempts to save his teammates.  This evil plot involved using algae from the aforementioned clean-up for his gas chamber and referencing the Nazis when talking about how humanity occasionally needs a reset Ummmm… GULP?!? To show Oliver he means business, Dahrk drags Felicity, Diggle and Thea into a gas chamber and starts to fill it, making it appear as if Team Arrow is about to lose some rather integral members. But then Laurel’s Canary shriek breaks the glass and the building gets blown up. Damien, however, being the cockroach that he is, manages to survive. Moreover, Phase 4 of his plan is all set to begin now that the air in what appears to be an underground bunker is breathable. However, Dahrk’s superiors (NOTE: Dahrk has superiors?!?) are worried that Oliver will still get in the way of Genesis coming to fruition. So Damien takes aim at the newly-engaged couple as they share a happy moment in a limo. Oliver manages to maneuver the vehicle away from the ghosts… but it’s too late. We conclude the episode with a bullet-ridden Felicity lies bleeding in his arms. Justin Theroux: PISSED About Brad Pitt’s Wedding Gift to Jennifer Aniston?

As you’ve probably heard, Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux got married last month. There was some controversy regarding who Aniston and Theoroux didn’t invite to the wedding , but to the surprise of absolutely no one Jen’s A-list ex, Brad Pitt, was not in attendance.  Sources say Jen and Brad haven’t had any contact with one another in years, but Pitt still found out about the wedding somehow. In fact, he reportedly sent a heartfelt gift – that royally pissed off Jen’s new hubby. “Brad bought the newlyweds a big Baccarat Crystal vase filled with sunflowers, and sent it over with a note of congratulations,” says an insider. “But Justin is definitely no fan, so it’ll be surprising if the vase ever makes another appearance inside their home!” Different folks have different views on the appropriateness of exes sending wedding presents, but clearly we know where Justin stands on the issue. We guess it’s only natural to be a little insecure when your new wife’s first husband was Brad freakin’ Pitt. We’re sure Justin has nothing to worry about, but it’s easy to see how the fact that a dude whose name is synonymous with handsomeness is sending Jen flowers might get under his skin. Add to that the fact that Aniston and Theroux are spending the next three months apart due to work commitments, and this marriage is off to a very weird start. Stephen Amell Apologizes for Tweet, Is Gonna "Go Away" Now

Viewers will be seeing plenty of Stephen Amell when Arrow Season 4 kicks off next month. But they won't be seeing much of the actor on social media for a bit, not after Amell stuck his attractive foot in his handsome mouth this week. In response to the Ahmen Mohamed scandal this week, in which a 14-year old was detained by police in Texas because teachers mistook a homemade clock for a bomb, Amell Tweeted the following: “Stereotyping Texas isn’t any better than stereotyping Ahmed. Just so we’re clear.” The message prompted some major backlash from those who believed Amell missed the point of this controversy, to which initially defended himself with a few follow-up Tweets:   I can't believe I broke my rule and tweeted about an actual event. Staggering to remember that debates in 140 characters don't work. What happened to Ahmed was terrible. Obviously. I happened to read a series of tweets pronouncing that this is a systemic problem in Texas, which is also profiling. It's profiling in a much less hurtful / destructive way… but it is profiling. Amell also wished Amell luck on his upcoming visit to the White House , but he then felt the need to post a video on Facebook. “Wasn’t trying to equate things that are very, very different, was simply trying to say that two wrongs don’t make a right,” Amell says in the video. “The best thing to do in these scenarios is just go away for a little bit. So be well. I’ll be back. And that’s it.”

Bachelor in Paradise Season 2 Episode 7 Recap: The Revenge of Joe Bailey!

After the stunning events of last week, the drama picked up with a vengeance once more on  Bachelor in Paradise Season 2 Episode 7 Sunday. Heading into the rose ceremony, Tanner’s rose went to Jade Roper, while Kirk’s went to Carly, Joshua’s to Tenley, and Jared gave his to Ashley I. It came down to JJ and his choice of Megan, with whom he’d gone on a nice date, and Juelia, third wheel of Joe Bailey and Samantha Steffen . Or … his third option, Ashley Salter. She got the rose! Then to further play the hero, JJ peaced out of the show to pursue a girl back home instead. With JJ out, Juelia’s last home was Dan … who chose Amber, sending Juelia and Clare home in the process. Juelia cried … right into Mikey’s arms. Those two had flirted before, but when Juelia gave her rose to Joe, Mikey was sent packing – regrettably, in light of Joe being the worst person ever . If you watch Bachelor in Paradise online , you know there are no hard rules, though, and Juelia asked Chris Harrison if Mikey could come back. He did! Dan said, “They wouldn’t let him get on a plane, he made a pitch to come back and be with Juelia, and he’s here to beat the s–t out of Joe.” Would he do just that? We’ll find out, but first, Jade and Tanner decide to “officially” be boyfriend and girlfriend, and Nick Peterson showed up. Nick, who famously screwed over Rachel Trueheart to win Bachelor Pad , asked Samantha on a date, and was quickly rejected … to Nick’s chagrin. “I’m shocked, especially because she told me she’d say yes,” he said, implying that they talked on social media before the show. Sound familiar? Out of options, Nick asked out Ashley S., and with their plans to spend the day on a private island nixed due to weather, they headed to a hotel. For some spa treatments … and tequila. “I was drunk the whole day,” said Nick later in a confessional. “By the time night came around, I was just obliterated. Just hammered drunk.” The romantic future for this couple is a bit up in the air, but man, they made for entertaining TV. The same could be said for Ashley I., as usual. “She has much stronger feelings for me than I have for her,” admitted Jared, with whom she is obsessed, ending things before it escalated further. As for Joe, the Villian of Paradise? He apologized to the group for his behavior with Juelia, while Samantha wanted in silence … giving him the cold shoulder and later dumping him! It’s not clear what changed between them, but as Samantha told the group her big decision, Joe sat down with Joshua and plotted his revenge. “I’m thinking, ‘Bitch, you told me to do whatever it took to get a rose to advance until you got here,'” he said, taking way too much pleasure in this. “I think it’s time to put some stuff straight. Clear the air. There’s no way she’s going to get around this subject, I’m going to have cold hard facts.” “There’s 700 text messages we had in a month. As soon as she starts to hear I have my phone and I’m getting text messages, she’ll squirm.” “Samantha is the reason why I’m in the position that I’m in and being f–ked over by everyone in the house. SummerSlam Results: Jon Stewart Turns Heel! Stephen Amell Soars!

Jon Stewart made his first television appearance since leaving The Daily Show on Sunday night, hosting SummerSlam from Brooklyn. But it wasn’t anything the comedian said at the pay-per-view that grabbed the attention of wrestling fans everywhere. It was something he did: Stewart ran into the ring during the John Cena-Seth Rollins match… grabbed a chair… and leveled Cena with it! Seriously! Jon Stewart turned heel at SummerSlam, helping supposed rival Rollings win the U.S. Title, causing the arena to erupt and coming closer to breaking the Internet than any Kim Kardashian nude photo ever could. Elsewhere during an unforgettable evening of WWE action: Sheamus defeated Randy Orton via a pair of Brogue Kicks. The New Day knocked off Prime Time Players, Los Matadores and Lucha Dragons to become WWE Tag Team Champions. Rusev and Dolph Ziggler ended in a double count out, which sucked. But also in Lana and Summer Rae rolling around in fighting, which sucked a lot less. Stephen Amell and Neville defeaued Stardust and King Barrett after the actor hyped Arrow Season 4 backstage… and then soared through the air off the top turnbuckle, becoming maybe the most impressive celebrity to ever hit the squared circle. Ryback defeated The Miz and The Big Show in a pretty quick triple threat match. No heel turn by either Dean Ambrose or Roman Reigns in their match against Bray Wyatt and Luke Harper, just a basic victory by the former tandem. Team PCB knocked off Team Bella and Team BAD in a Divas match. Kevin Owens used the Pop Up Powerbomb to defeat Cesara in a great match. The Undertaker got some Wrestlemania revenge by beating Brock Lesnar, but only after the timekeeper inadvertently rang the bell, thinking ‘Taker had tapped out. Little Girl Meets Queen, Get Smacked in Face by Soldier

Six-year old Maisie Gregory got the experience of a lifetime this summer. Actually… two experiences of a lifetime. First, she was selected to continue a regimental tradition that included donning a traditional Welsh dress while handing a posy of flowers to the Queen. Second, she got smacked in the face by the salute of a nearby soldier immediately after meeting Her Royal Highness. A local reporter captured the unfortunate incident on camera, which was not witnessed by the Queen.  But it did result in tears flowing down the injured face of little Maisie, who her mother later on confirmed did not suffer any real damage as a result of the accident. And the soldier did at least notice and quickly comfort the child. So it's okay to laugh, people. No one got seriously hurt here… and Gregory became a viral sensation!

Britney Spears to Remain Under Conservatorship For LIFE

Britney Spears has been under a conservatorship for seven years plus, and it looks like the status quo may continue for the rest of her life. This isn’t a bad thing. There are just no plans to end the conservatorship, in the short or long term, and no one involved is complaining. A quick refresher: Britney was in a bad place throughout 2007 and into 2008, when she was hospitalized under a psychiatric hold. Her father, Jamie Spears, went to court to seek a conservatorship, giving him control over her financial, medical and legal decisions. That sounds like an ominous power play, but by all accounts, Jamie saved her life in the short term, and she’s thriving now thanks to him. Jamie Spears and Britney’s doctors stabilized her to the point where she scored a successful comeback album and Vegas residency. Her yearly income is well into the eight figures, which would not have been possible had Jamie and his team not righted the ship. More importantly, she maintains a robust personal life (bad breakups aside) that is her own and is by any standard a great parent. As Britney sees it, she has “substantial day-to-day freedom” and is more than content to let her father help with her finances, etc. Thus, Team Spears’ plan is to continue the conservatorship indefinitely … because it has gotten it done, and why fix what ain’t broke?

Stephen Amell and Jared Padalecki: Shirtless for a Good Cause!

Stephen Amell and Jared Padalecki are shirtless in the following photograph. But they didn’t strip partially down on Facebook merely to make female followers everywhere drool and ogle. While vacationing in Lake Austin, Texas over the weekend, the close friends and fellow CW stars decided to pose on a dock in half their birthday suits in order to bring attention to an important cause. No, not their abdominal muscles. “Stay Sunday Strong,” Amell wrote online along with a link to his Padalecki’s charity T-shirt campaign. “My buddy Jared Padalecki wants you to Always Keep Fighting.”  Padalecki has been very open and honest about his struggle with anxiety and depression for years now. In response to this illness, the Supernatural stud created T-shirts to help benefit To Write Love on Her Arms, an organization that supports people struggling with similar mental health issues. “To a degree there is certainly a taboo attached to it still,” Padalecki has told E! News. “There’s still a large portion of the population who just want to say, ‘Buck up. Put on a happy face and everything goes away.’ For some people, that works.” But for others? “For those of us who aren’t so blessed, the message ‘Always Keep Fighting’ is for us,” he says. “Generation by generation, we’re slowly stripping away that taboo, that strange dynamic of, ‘Oh, there must be a problem with you if you feel this way.” Amell, meanwhile, will return to your small screen when Arrow Season 4 kicks off this October; while Padalecki will do the same when Supernatural Season 11 premieres the same month.
