Sketched from New York Police Department Young Women Found Dead In Hudson River Identified As Missing Fairfax, VA Sisters A pair of missing sisters who disappeared from Fairfax, Va back in August were found dead in NYC’s chilly Hudson river last week. New York police said Rotana Farea, 22, and her 16-year-old sister, Tala Farea, were discovered Wednesday afternoon near 68th Street and Riverside Drive on Manhattan’s Upper West Side. Tala was last seen August 24th, according to a posting on the website of the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children . The alert said Tala might be with her sister. Investigators are leaning towards the theory that the sisters may have jumped off the George Washington Bridge as part of a suicide pact according to CBS2 . Reportedly the two had been duct-taped together around their waists and feet. Their bodies were identified Friday. Police told the New York Post that they believed the women had entered the river from the George Washington Bridge and then floated more than 100 blocks south to just below Riverside Park, which stretches for 50 blocks along Manhattan’s west side. New York police Chief of Detectives Dermot Shea told the Post that “they were not in the water that long.” The Medical Examiner is working to determine the cause of the sisters’ death. So far, no relatives of the young women have spoken to the press.
As you may have heard, Kanye West went off on Nick Cannon , Drake, and Tyson Beckford in a rambling, self-shot video that appeared online yesterday. What pissed Kanye off, it seems is that all three men have — allegedly or otherwise — expressed opinions about Kim Kardashian sometime in the past few weeks. Yes, it seems verbalizing a thought about the most famous woman on the planet is enough to land you on Yeezy’s sh-t list these days. Hell, Drake didn’t even actually say anything about Kim. He just featured a character named Kiki in a song, but that was enough to spark rumors that Drake was boning Kim , which was enough to earn Drizzy a mention in the world’s laziest diss track. Obviously, Kanye has a long history of making every situation far worse by opening his mouth, and it seems he may have done exactly that once again. But this time, it’s not Kim who’s encouraging the rapper to shut his yap. Now it seems Kris Jenner is in on the act, and sources say she absolutely tore Kanye a new one this week for bringing so much negative attention to his family. “Kris is not happy at all and she reamed Kanye out because she thinks that he is putting his family in danger,” a source close to the situation tells Radar Online. Paris Jackson posted a heartfelt farewell message to her late grandfather, speaking of her cherished memories of him. And her brother, Prince Jackson, is doing the same. In his captions, he wrote a tribute to his dearly departed loved one. “This man is and always will be an example of sheer willpower and dedication,” Prince begins. But you might remember a time when the network showed something other than round-the-clock Teen Mom with the occasional Catfish thrown in. Well, those days are officially over, as MTV is now one step closer to celebrating bad decisions on a 24/7 basis, According to The Ashley’s Reality Roundup , Teen Mom: Young and Pregnant — aka the spinoff no one asked for or seemed to have any interest in — has officially been renewed for a second season . If you’re keeping score at home that brings the total number of 16 and Pregnant spinoffs to a whopping 79. Just kidding, it’s four. But still … The fact that some exec looked at the channel’s current lineup and said, “What we need? More unfit mothers!” is truly baffling. But hey, TV is TV and ratings will always be the name of the game. Which is one reason why the Young and Pregnant renewal is so unexpected. The show had a very difficult time finding an audience in its first several weeks on the air. Things turned around later in the season, but with more original content on the air than ever before, TV execs are much less likely to give struggling shows a second chance these days. Adding to the surprise is the fact that the series is already having problems with disgruntled cast members. Earlier this week, Young and Pregnant star Ashley Jones bashed producers on Instagram, accusing them of manipulating footage to make her look like a bad mom. “The whole season I was edited to look like a monster,” Jones wrote. “Joining this show was by far the worst decision of my life.” She added: “No trust for the producers or anyone else that works on the show and knows the kind of person that I am but says nothing to editing.” Producers are used to that kind of talk from the likes of Jenelle Evans. But Jenelle has been consistently delivering big ratings for over a decade. Ashley, on the other hand, is much newer to the business and much more inconsistent in the ratings department. It’s not hard to see how producers may have decided that Jones and fellow hot-tempered cast member “A crew is up there with Ashley and will be filming throughout this week,” a source tells The Ashley. “All the girls will be either starting to film or continuing to film over the next few weeks.” The insider adds that while their exact salaries remain a mystery, the girls all got raises — and the second season is usually when the big money starts rolling in: “Generally, for the other Teen Mom shows, the pay jump from Season 1 to Season 2 has been the most significant jump,” Man, those MTV PSAs about the downsides of teen pregnancy are getting less and less convincing by the day!
