SPOILER: What’s the Secret Scene After the Iron Man 2 Credits?

Bill Murray Craps on Ghostbusters 3 Once Again

Bill Murray has been so publicly dismissive about the mere possibility of Ghostbusters 3 — remember when he called it his ” nightmare ?” — that it’s hard to believe he hasn’t just burned his old costume in effigy at this point. In fact, based on his latest round of “let me cut this project off at the knees” quotes, it feels like the best way for Murray to get whatever revenge he’s looking for would be to simply appear in the sequel, cash his big check and put in as much effort as he did on Charlie’s Angels .

EXCLUSIVE: Doug Liman on Fair Game: ‘It’s a Really Great Movie’

Movieline on Tuesday dropped by a benefit in Tribeca for Scenarios USA , a non-profit that promotes writing and filmmaking among under-served teens. A handful of the kids wind up working with professional directors (including Michael Apted, Tamara Jenkins, Griffin Dunne and others) to bring their stories to the screen. And just as dinner was getting underway, in walked Doug Liman, who sits on Scenarios’ board and had collaborated on the program’s first short film — He Said, She Said — in 1999. But just as important for him at the moment: He’s preparing to send one of Cannes’ most anticipated films — the Valerie Plame thriller Fair Game — to the festival, where it will screen in competition. Liman took a moment to talk it over with Movieline.

Defiant Joan Rivers Bashes Late-Night Hosts, Insists She is ‘Blackballed’

Joan Rivers hasn’t made much of a secret about her hatred for NBC, from which she says she was banned 25 years ago after striking her doomed late-night hosting deal with Fox. Furthermore, she told an audience Monday at the Tribeca Film Festival, she’s a late-night pariah across the board. As you can imagine, she wasn’t happy about it.

What’s On: You’re Still the One I Vote For

American Idol ‘s top six heats up with a visit from one of the most popular recording artists of all time. That’s actually an understatement: Tonight’s mentor boasts the best-selling female album of all time (eighth highest-selling overall) and three diamond-certified albums. Seems incredible when you consider half the songs are called things like “Bartender! (You Ain’t My Man) I’m Outta Here!”
