(Senior) Citizens For Leno

On the morning of Conan O’B rien’s first Legally Prohibited From Being Funny on Television stop, NBC faces some good and some bad Tonight Show news. The good being that the audience has increased more than 50 percent from Coco’s average. The bad being that the median age of the audience has also climbed more than 10 years to 56 years old, posing a potential risk to advertisers. Maybe NBC should just rip a page out of the playbook of the late night show with the youngest demo — Lopez Tonight , which boasts a median age of 33 — with some Chola makeovers . Si? [ NYT ]

Reruns of Seinfeld Could Prevent Conan From Signing With Fox

Before Conan O’B rien starts his 30-city nationwide tour tomorrow night in Eugene, Oregon, he better plan on giving a big hello to Mark Metzger. Who’s that? Well Metzger is the general manager and vice president of Eugene’s Fox affiliate, KLSR, and he’s just one of the people that could prevent Conan from becoming a late night television fixture once again.

Project Runway’s Anthony Williams on His Second Elimination, Mila’s Nerve, and Turning Down His Own Show

The Sex and the City 2 Trailer: By The Numbers

Today’s release of the Sex and the City: 2 Ferragamo 2 Fabulous trailer is something of a holiday at Movieline HQ, with the giddy sounds of being reunited with our favorite cinematic BFF s nearly drowned out by clinking champagne flutes and the delighted squeals of fashion-obsessed editors given 30 seconds of heaven in New Line’s promotional All The Choos You Can Hold In Your Greedy Little Arms Closet. (The first installment grossed $415 million worldwide; they’re really not screwing around this time.) And while we’ve already slapped a SOLD ! verdict on this first two minutes of teaser footage, our excitement demands a deeper level of engagement with the trailer: its mysteries must be pondered, its myriad delights cataloged in painstaking detail. After the jump, we break it down by the numbers, hoping to better understand exactly what’s in store for us on May 27.

Real Housewives of NYC Reality Check: How Sorry Was Bethenny Frankel?

The other Housewives of New York City can knock Bethenny Frankel for her vitriol, her publicity-mongering and and her tendency to put career over friendships, but the woman knows how to sell the sh*t out of an apology. In last night’s episode, “The Ambush,” Bethenny cried every time she was on camera, exploited her dying father for sympathy and distributed personalized “I’m Sorry” cards with the ease of a faux-remorse pro. It was brilliant. After the jump, Movieline dissects Bethenny’s apology strategy, congratulates Ramona for finding her way out of that pinot grigio glass long enough to overcome her fear of Brooklyn and assess which moments from last night’s episode hit the Real/Fake Jackpot.
