Lindsay Lohan on New Year’s Eve Hosting Gigs: Pass!

Lindsay Lohan is adamant that she is proud of the progress she’s made with the judge in her probation case and as a result, she’s planning a low key New Year’s. She’s even passing up six-figure paydays as a result. The 25-year-old resurgent train wreck has gotten a bunch of offers to host some ragers on December 31, but has stunningly turned down each and every one. According to reports, Lindsay is desperately trying to change her party girl image and feels that staying away from NYE madness is a step in the right direction. Seriously, this is true ! LiLo’s decision will cost her big bucks, as she’s been offered upwards of $100K to ring in New Year’s Eve at various venues. But long term, it’s not worth it to her. The nearly seven-figure check she just got for her Playboy photos should ease the pain somewhat, as well. Imagine, nearly $1M for some Lindsay Lohan pics ! Saturday night, Lindsanity plans to ring in 2012 with a few close friends at her home, though she may go out to dinner beforehand. Girl, we hardly know ye! [Photo: WENN.com]

The semifinals kicked off with Robert Pattinson and Miley Cyrus battling to make the finals against … the winner of this matchup, between Katy Perry and Demi Lovato! In the quarterfinals, #3 seed Katy bested Lady Gaga with 59 percent of the vote, while #7 Demi topped Justin Bieber by an even wider margin in a bit of an upset.

MLB Source: Ryan Braun Positive Test Caused By Medication, Not Steroids

Is the reigning National League MVP, Ryan Braun, innocent of using performance enhancing drugs after all? This new report suggests his positive test may be a fluke. Ryan Braun’s positive test for banned substances was caused by medication for a private medical issue – not PEDs – according to Major League Baseball sources. Braun is adamant he has not taken drugs or steroids of any kind. A source close to the MLB and the controversial Braun drug case said simply that “the medication contained banned substances resulting in the positive test.” Prior to taking the dirty test, Braun had always tested negative for banned substances – not that this proves his innocence, but it’s worth noting just the same. The nature of Braun’s medical ailment is unclear, as is whether Milwaukee Brewers star knew exactly what substances were in his medication before he took it. It’s also unknown if any of these revelations could lead to the positive test – and the 50-game suspension it earned Braun – being overturned by MLB officials.
