The Bachelorette will not announce its winner until next week. But one thing we can now say for certain, without the help of reading any The Bachelorette spoilers or anything, is the following: Luke Parker is a total and complete loser. The sexist pig was in the spotlight on Monday evening's Men Tell All special, as he tried to defend his behavior on the show and his attitude toward Hannah Brown in general. It did not go well. Scroll down for a recap of a special Men Tell All special in which Parker was in the crosshairs of nearly every contestant who spoke out… 1. No Regrets Here At the outset of the Men Tell All episode, a clip was shown of the remainder of what went down in Greece after Brown finally sent Parker in Greece to close out last Monday night’s episode. 2. I’ve Seen the Light! “I finally was hit right in the face with what everybody else saying,” Hannah explained in a confessional. “I was like, ‘I now can relate,’ and I sent Luke home. The other guys have no idea … I have no regrets. I feel like f-ck that guy and not an ounce of me misses him, wants him in my life or will question my decisions. I’m so glad Luke is finally gone and I never have to see him again.” 3. Never, Though?!? Footage of Parker on his way to interrupt Brown’s rose ceremony was then shown, as he said: “Hannah thought after sending me in the van that there’s no way I’d want to be with her anymore after the last thing she told me. She’s sadly mistaken.” (Editor’s Note: YIKES!) 4. The Sexist Pig Just Kept Going, Too “She doesn’t realize I still love her and that I’m not through,” he continued in this clip. “This isn’t over for me yet. I couldn’t go home without talking to her again and sharing my heart with her and getting a few things off my chest. She has never told me that she loves me, but I know she loves me. I know without a shadow of a doubt she still has feelings for me. I believe she’s making a big mistake, and I’m going to tell her that. She doesn’t know it yet, but I’m on my way and I’m coming. I want to prove to her how serious I am about this.” 5. WTH, Dude? We even saw a diamond ring in Luke’s pocket, as he simply joined Hannah’s remaining three suitors in a line, as if he had never been kicked off. 6. Get the H-E-Double Hockey Sticks Out of Here! “Leave! I’m so tired. You’re so narcissistic,” Hannah screamed at Luke when she saw him. “It’s my this, my that. This is not about your heart. I’m sorry that your heart is broken, but you’ve already broken my heart like 15 times through all of this by me trying to make this work.” View Slideshow

It’s a really tough time to be a racist in America. First, Disney dared to cast an African-American as Ariel in its upcoming The Little Mermaid remake. Then, President Donald Trump said the typically quiet part out loud when Tweeting that a quartet of Congresswomen ought to “leave” America and return to the country from where they are from. And now these same racists have lost James Bond. Sort of, that is. According to The Daily Mail, Lashana Lynch — a 31-year old actress most recently seen in Captain Marvel — has been cast as 007 in the upcoming James Bond movie. No, Lynch will not portray Bond himself. Daniel Craig has signed on to reprise his role as this legendary British agent in the impending (and currently untitled) film… but Lynch will come in as a new secret agent, taking over Bond’s iconic codename. In what way? How will this work? An insider tells the aforementioned publication the blockbuster will center on how Bond has retired from the agency, only to be called back for duty to help deal with a new crisis. “There is a pivotal scene at the start of the film where M says ‘Come in 007’, and in walks Lashana who is black, beautiful and a woman,” writes The Mail, adding: “It’s a popcorn-dropping moment. Bond is still Bond, but he’s been replaced as 007 by this stunning woman.” The source goes on to explain that Bond is “sexually attracted to the new female 007 and tries his usual seduction tricks,” but he is “baffled when they don’t work.” There’s also another way in which the movie will be updated to better fit in with the current day and age: The Mail insider claims that the term “Bond girls” has been removed from use and replaced with “Bond women.” “This is a Bond for the modern era who will appeal to a younger generation while sticking true to what we all expect in a Bond film,” the insider adds in this report, continuing as follows: “There are spectacular chase sequences and fights, and Bond is still Bond but he’s having to learn to deal with the world of #MeToo.” As you might expect, a certain segment of the Internet is unhappy with this development. This is the same segment that’s been upset for years over the rumor that Idris Elba may one day replace Craig as Bond himself. We’ll let you figure out what Lynch and Elba have in common. The upcoming movie will be written by Phoebe Waller-Bridge, who recently discussed Bond’s relevancy in today’s world during an interview with Deadline. “There’s been a lot of talk about whether or not [the Bond franchise] is relevant now because of who he is and the way he treats women,” she told the outlet in May. “I think that’s bollocks. I think he’s absolutely relevant now. It has just got to grow. It has just got to evolve, and the important thing is that the film treats the women properly. “He doesn’t have to. He needs to be true to this character.” The 25th installment in this action franchise will also feature Rami Malek, Billy Magnusse, David Dencik, Dali Benssalah, Ralph Fiennes, Rory Kinnear, Ben Whishaw, Naomie Harris and Jeffrey Wright.
Source: Leon Bennett / Getty Cassie Say Team Of Black Women Have Uplifted Her Career Cassie is giving all glory to Black women for giving her career new purpose and effect. In a new interview L’Officiel , the singer/actress/entrepreneur talks about taking her career to the next level now that she is expecting a daughter. “My priorities have absolutely changed, not just for creating an amazing future and life for my daughter, but because I want her to be proud of me,” Cassie shared. “I’ve heard people say that they’re nervous to raise females in today’s world, but I’m excited! I can’t wait to see her grow, learn and challenge the world right back!” A big part of getting to that next level is the work of her new team that is comprised of predominantly Black women. When asked about working with a crew of black female creatives, Cassie explained how the new squad has helped her confidence. “When it comes to me choosing to work with certain people I have to go off of an organic connection. I love the fact that everyone that I work with now communicates fully on every aspect, we are not in competition, we work as a team and they actually understand who I am and who I want to mold myself to become. As a group, we work as a collective. “For me, this is the first time that I feel that I actually have a strong team in place that has my best interests at heart and the added bonus is that the majority of the team are creative black females. To me, it means we see each other,” she continued. “The energy I feel when we’re in a room together is unmatchable. We all have our own levels of experience and we bring our best to the table. We support each other and balance each other out all at the same time. It just works.” We’ll certainly be keeping on eye on Cassie’s moves to see how they reflect this new foray into overt Blackness.
Source: Maury Phillips / Getty “House Party” Actress Back With New Movie “Sins Of The Father” Fans may remember AJ Johnson for her iconic roles as “Sharane” in “House Party” and “Juanita” in “Baby Boy.” Now, the NJ born and bred actress is back with a new movie on TVOne “Sins of The Father,” about the murder of the wife of an Atlanta-area pastor, a crime that sends shockwaves through their close-knit community. However things aren’t what they seem and as law enforcement’s investigation unfolds, secret lives filled with lust, adultery, and corruption come to the surface. Johnson plays the no-nonsense Det. Phylicia Richardson, who is tasked with unraveling the mystery murder of the church’s First Lady. “Phylicia Richardson is actually AJ Johnson before Hollywood,” Johnson told BOSSIP by phone. “Phylicia is the bookworm, the intellectual…now, she’s been given a platform to be all of who she is – now we get to see her work her magic on this case that has gone cold.” Source: Gabriel Olsen / Getty The thespian said she and director Jamal Hill had full creative control of the movie, often shooting up to 15 hours a day and then meeting to rewrite scenes for the next day. The movie, which was shot in Atlanta, was years in the making for Johnson, who said that she wanted to find the right role after the critical acclaim of “Baby Boy.” “I personally have been waiting for a project that helped me not to miss my experience in ‘Baby Boy,’ which was my last dramatic role,” she said. “ John Singleton and his way of creating spoiled me. So I was waiting for that kind of role, that kind of director…Then TV One called, and I felt like it was an answered prayer right there.” Johnson said she hopes that viewers will take away that the truth always comes to light. “We’re living in a time and space where corruption, deceit and adultery exit in certain areas,” Johnson explained. “Between cell phones and social media, so much is exposed, why not expose the dark in the church community, and correct it?” “Sins of the Father” will air July 7 at 8 P.M. (EST) on TVOne.

Source: filadendron / Getty Speaking to many women with natural hair in America, the way you wear your hair to work can be a source of anxiety and sometimes even trauma. There is pressure to wear ones’ hair straight, which is often deemed “presentable” in the work. Whether it’s navigating how to wear your hair for an interview or changing your hair into box braids for summer only not to be recognized by your co-workers, natural hair in the workplace is unnecessarily stressful. Well, now, California is helping you deal with that. California lawmakers have passed The CROWN Act, a bill to protect Black employees and students by outlawing discrimination against people with natural hairstyles like afros, dreadlocks, braids, and twists. The bill states, “The history of our nation is riddled with laws and societal norms that equated ‘blackness’ and the associated physical traits, for example, dark skin, kinky and curly hair to a badge of inferiority.” The bill shines light (and protection) on the fact that European aesthetics have been the standard for beauty and have unfairly targeted Black workers and students more than any other group. The CROWN Act stands for ‘Create a Respectful and Open Workplace for Natural Hair. While there were no “no” votes, Sen. Holly Mitchell, D-Los Angeles told NPR , “I have no idea why they abstained.” There were 10 politicians that chose not to vote on the bill including Frank Bigelow, Joe Cervantes, Steve Cooley, Duke Cunningham, James Gallagher, Tom Lackey, Monique Limon, Evan Low, Kevin McCarty and Melissa Melendez. While it wasn’t important to them, it was important to Mitchell, who told NPR, “The sheer volume of women and men and parents of students who have been sent home because someone deems their braids, twists, or locs were inappropriate for workplace settings, the sheer volume of people, suggests this clearly is a law whose time has come.” Dove was criticized in 2017 for a body lotion ad featuring a Black woman who took off her shirt to become a white woman, has supported this bill. The brand has also been working diligently for more representation, partnering with Getty Images and more. New York and New Jersey has proposed similar legislation. In February, NYC enacted its own policy protecting afros, braids, fades and other black hairstyles. We hope more states take a look at the CROWN Act and start to enact their own legislation. Source: Sakura/WENN.com / WENN Azealia Banks says she is quitting rap music. The “212” rapper made the announcement on Friday (June 21) via Instagram, so of course, the messages have already been deleted. According to Banks, people are more interested in her drama than her music. Mind you, most times she’s the one driving said misdirected attention, but that’s a discussion for another day. “you guys will ALWAYS BE MORE CONCERNED WITH BAD NEWS ABOUT ME THAN ANY OF THE PHENOMENAL MUSIC I MAKE BECAUSE ITS HOW YOU’VE BEEN TAUGHT TO RELATE TO ME,” reads part of her message. “IT DOESNT MATTER HOW GOOD MY MUSIC IS I KNOW YOU GUYS DONT DESERVE IT. ALL YOU TRULY deserve is my sh*tty opinions and hot breath. She added, “YOU WILL NEVER GET ANOTHER BODY OF AZEALIA BANKS WORK AGAIN. HEAR ME!?!” Cool. She also added, “I’m clearly not ever going to release music again. I’m entirely too good for 3/4 of the public. They don’t deserve me and I don’t deserve to have my life’s purpose attached to ‘having to work three times as hard as a white woman’ lmfao FOH.” Alrighty then. Considering this is Azealia Banks, we’re not holding our breath on this rap retirement actually sticking. See the deleted messages below because nothing is ever for real deleted on the Internets. Source: Matt Winkelmeyer / Getty On the most recent episode of “Red Table Talk,” musician and actor Common sat down with Jada Pinkett-Smith , Gammy and Willow to discuss the tension that existed between him and his daughter Omoye, learning his triggers in romantic relationships and his relationship with Angela Rye these days. Check out the highlights below. — Jada : I was really moved by your book in terms of you repairing your relationship with your daughter. Because we had a little bit of that in our house. Will just thought that winning, he thought providing was enough. Until one day, Willow was like, ‘This is hurting me.’ Willow : I don’t even think it was a conversation. It was just me choosing to be like ‘No.’ Jada : This was during the “Whip the Hair.” It took her and that relationship for him to stop and reevaluate what is love. Common : My daughter Omoye confronted me. It was a late-night call so I thought I was getting a call like, ‘I’m a cool dad.’ It was 2 in the morning. I had to start a film the next day so I said, ‘Ima call you back. Let’s talk tomorrow.’ And she called me right back like, ‘Yo, you don’t even care. You ain’t even see where I was at.’ And it really, it shook me for a minute. I was like, ‘What are you talking about? I do care.’ And her mother and I weren’t together. Eventually, that conversation turned into her saying you weren’t there for me, you didn’t fight for me as a father. It made me feel defensive. I was hurt and I was mad too. I was like, ‘You really believe some of this stuff.’ What I really learned, after I got past my own ego, I said, ‘Look, you right, I didn’t fight.’ And I had to acknowledge that. I just need to listen to her because this is what she’s feeling. No matter what I think I’ve done and this and that, this is how she feels. And that was one of those the heavens open moments and how to apply love more. Jada : In the way it looked for her. You probably thought you were doing your thing. Common : I didn’t grow necessarily with my father, right? So a lot of ways I learned to be a man is from my homies and other father figures. And the provide and protect are the two most important things we learn. And I’m a caring individual but I had to get past just providing and protecting because love is a action word. That type of understanding and just paying attention is what we weren’t equipped with… When you put the truth on the table, it strengthens the relationship. Omoye was harboring those feelings. She felt like, ‘I didn’t always have my dad here so if I tell him some stuff he did wrong, I’ll have him less.’ Once she was able to put it out, she felt liberated and free. And now, she’s more secure in the fact that you can tell your dad whatever you need to tell him and the love is going to be there. We had our own therapy session together. And she was smart about it. She was like, ‘Dad, before this book come out we need to resolve this.’ We’re doing great overall, she just graduated from Howard University. Text “RICKEY” to 71007 to join the Rickey Smiley Morning Show mobile club for exclusive news. ( Terms and conditions ). His daughter’s reaction to learning he had been molested. Common : She was like did this really happen to you? I was like, ‘Yeah.’ And that’s when she started processing. and she said, ‘I really am proud of you.’ When your daughter tell you she’s proud of you, you feel that. His relationship with his mother affecting his romantic relationships with women Common : My mother gave me all the love she could but some of that love was even pain because of her and my father not being together and that struggle. A single mother sometimes will put the responsibility of a husband on a young boy. And the child is like, he’s trying to do his best but he can’t do what a husband can do, just providing the emotional energy and love. And that eventually transfers into an intimacy avoidance. So anytime that show up in a [romantic] relationship, you’re like no. You’re like this feels familiar in a bad way. And the mothers they don’t know they’re doing that. They’re just trying to offer their love. I’ve been in situations where I’ve been in a good relationship but the woman, she needed certain things and I felt like it was being too much. It reminded me of my mother. I need to identify is this really happening and if it is, I should be able to communicate that and say the things I need. And that’s what the therapy has helped me with. And I’m like, ‘Black people, let’s use therapy, man.’ From a personal level to a generational level, we can use it to heal. Jada : There was a line in the book where you thought love was desire. Common : Men really identify this yearning for this person being a love thing. When that in love, honeymoon phase goes, I would go, ‘This don’t feel as good.’ I would start coming up with excuses on why the relationship is not gon work. ‘When I’m in relationships, I don’t do work as well.’ My albums are not as good or I don’t focus. And I really believed that. Sign Up For Our Newsletter! Close Thank you for subscribing! Please be sure to open and click your first newsletter so we can confirm your subscription. Email Submit Wanting to be a husband Common : For a long time, I was in and out with that. Do I really wanna be a husband or am I doing this because this is what society says to. Now, I just want that partnership to be able to experience life, where I’m growing as a human being and it’s fun too. I know it’s hard at times. Whether or not he’s dating Angela Rye again? I am dating and I have a great companion and that companion could be that person right there. https://www.facebook.com/watch/?v=1381799071971109 This story was originally published on MadameNoire.com . Source: Emma McIntyre/VMN19 / Getty It Looks Like Tessa Thompson Loved Brie Larson’s Speech As Much As The Rest Of Us The 2019 MTV Movie & TV Awards took place on Monday evening, sparking some commentary, memes, and a lot of opinions about how the night went down. One of the moments that has people talking is Brie Larson’s much-deserved victory, ta king home the award for “Best Fight” for her work in Captain Marvel . It was a tough category to win, beating out some serious contenders like her fellow Marvel pals Chris Evans and Josh Brolin for their fight in Avengers: End Game , along with Maisie Williams for her fight against the White Walkers in Game of Thrones . Out of all the contenders, Brie took home the big prize for her incredible show of strength throughout Marvel’s first female-led film–and what’s even more amazing than her accomplishment alone is how she chose to accept the award. The actress ended up bringing her Captain Marvel stunt doubles, Joanna Bennett and Renae Moneymaker , on stage to accept the award. She introduced both ladies, saying, “I could not have made this film without them. They are really the baseline of who she is. They are the living embodiment of Captain Marvel .” After that, the star stepped aside to give the other women their shine, letting them give their own respective speeches about what it was like to work on this film together. They ended their acceptance speech thanking Brie for acknowledging their role in the film and the work of stunt doubles in general, which is often overlooked. Fans all over the world have been praising Larson since last night for her generosity in making sure her stunt doubles get their shine, making everyone even more in love with the star. “Brie Larson lied about doing all of her stunts” She did all the stunts she was ALLOWED to do.
