Sofia Richie has broken her silence when it comes to Justin Bieber. It’s true: although Richie and Bieber have been dating for a number of weeks now, the 18-year old model has never really commented publicly about the singer before. She’s just posed alongside him for a number of cozy Instagram photos is all. To wit: And to wit again: Richie and Bieber went public with their romance about a month ago, as she traveled all the way to Tokyo with the singer for segments of his world tour. The two walked around the street, hung out in a hotel and shared many of these experiences on social media. This resulted in an unfortunate, albeit expected, backlash, with Bieber followers not just insulting Richie… but actually threatening her life. Bieber tried to calm down the madness by telling his fans to leave Richie alone or else he would make his Instagram account private. This announcement backfired, however, after Selena Gomez jumped in to Justin’s Comments section and told him to just keep his private life private. She later apologized for the inappropriate message, but the damage had already been done. Annoyed at the negative attention, Bieber took it one step further: he left Instagram for a number of weeks. Everything became a mess, basically, just because Justin Bieber found a new girlfriend. But this hasn’t seemed to put a damper on the romance with Richie. The teenager is featured on the cover of this month’s Billboard, bringing Bieber up with the publication and making it clear that something is happening between them. “We have a special relationship. Justin is very easy to talk to, and that’s hard to find with people in Los Angeles,” Richie tells the magazine. She doesn’t elaborate, but she doesn’t really have to, either. Bethenny was quick to shoot down a fan questioning if she has had surgery. “I didn’t,” Frankel said. “Well, I had my jaw injected with Botox because I have TMJ, and if you look at pictures of me from probably, like, seven years ago it’s gradually gotten smaller to the point where I had to stop, and now it actually hurts again.” Frankel did agree that she looked different on recent episodes of the Bravo series. “I looked at the reunion and my eyes — the little trick that actually [makeup artist] Kristofer Buckle taught Maryana, my makeup artist, is when you put your eyelashes on, put the ends up a little bit, and it makes your eyes look a little more out. So they don’t go down,” she explained. “But, no, I have not. I have not had any plastic surgery.” The star has revealed in the past that she’s had botox, but that appears to be it. In a confrontation for the ages, Bethenny Frankel told Sonja Morgan exactly what she thought about the latter trying to break into the wine business, sitting across from her on a couch and just tearing Morgan to shreds. It was ugly and it was personal. “I think you’re a fraud,” Frankel told Morgan upon being asked for her take on Morgan’s Tipsy Girl line of cocktails. “You’ve come up with six fake businesses, and no one buys any of it. Nobody believes any of it.” This critique brought Morgan to tears, with the reality star citing her reason Chapter 11 filing and explaining that she hoped this business idea would help her dire financial situation. The reality star, who can see these days when you watch The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills online , went on a Twitter rant against Kmart employees, clearly irritated with the staff members’ inability to speak her native language. “Wow @Kmart has 2 registers open w 5 other employees standing around & two speak no English whatsoever,” Frankel wrote on social media, adding: “Shoes are sapatos right?” (NOTE: Frankel misspelled the Spanish word “zapatos,” which means “shoes.”) The mother of a five-year old girl named Bryn added: “Not even attempting kids’ snow boots in spanish.” As you might expect, Frankel’s diatribe caused quite a stir within the Twitter universe. “Wow bethenny never took you as a racist,” one follower replied, while another offered up an even harsher assessment: “What a bitch!” In related news, Frankel also just signed a deal to have her Skinny Girl products – including her skincare line and newly released gluten-free bars – be sold exclusively at Walmart, pretty much the prime competition for Kmart. So aside from offending folks with her anti-Spanish rant, she may not have wanted to publicize the fact that she was shopping at Walmart’s closest competitor. We’ve got a couple of real big news items to report when it comes to the Real Housewives franchise. First, as previously reported, NeNe Leakes will be surprising a few series regulars when she shows up on The Real Housewives Season 8 next year. And now E! Online confirms that Bethenny Frankel will be headed to… The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills?!? Best known for her long-running role on The Real Housewives of New York City, of course, Frankel will fly to the West Coast for what E! describes as an upcoming “cameo” in Beverly Hills. ” Bethenny filmed a cameo this summer, when several RHOBH cast members were in the Hamptons. Bethenny has a home there. “She and Kyle Richards are old friends so it made sense for them to see each other,” a source tells E!. According to this report, The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills cast filmed in the Hamptons for numerous days, during which Frankel had a meal with Kyle and other stars. “Bethenny was Bethenny,” a second insider says. “She was very direct with everyone. She wasn’t afraid to speak her mind.” Frankel has known Kyle and Kim Richards for over two decades. Speaking to Andy Cohen last year, she commented on the ongoing problems between the siblings. “They’re in a town where money and attention and fame are really prevalent, and I think it’s like an alternative universe. “They’re living this, but then they’re also living it in the press, on Instagram, on Twitter. It’s a really really murky, and I don’t know how they’re going to get out of it. “Being on television together… it doesn’t seem like it’s going in a good direction.”
Tuesday on The Real Housewives of New York City , Bethenny and Ramona’s feud continued, while the latter hosted her New Beginnings party. Would anyone truly begin anew, though? When The Real Housewives of New York City Season 7 Episode 19 got underway, it was evident the season finale was going to be as boring as the rest of the season. The season finale episode started off with yet another a** kissing moment between Ramona and Sonja. Though their relationship has wavered over the years, Ramona and Sonja have somehow retained a sense of friendship—whatever that means on a reality show. Ramona stopped by Sonja’s house to congratulate her for a successful fashion show. “Everyone’s mouth dropped,” Ramona complimented. What Ramona failed to mention is that their mouths probably dropped because they were shocked Sonja actually had a line of clothing to show. Her “international fashion lifestyle brand” has been questionable throughout the course of the season. But, somehow, she pulled it off. The compliments quickly changed to complaints though. Sonja pried for information about the spat between Bethenny and Ramona during the fashion show. Of course, Ramona played innocent “I don’t know why Bethenny picked a fashion show to start a fight with me,” she whined. For the entire season, Ramona has been playing the I’m-a-changed-person card. “I have changed,” she said. “I just came from church from Ash Wednesday.” Though going to Ash Wednesday is a good start, Ramona might benefit more from confession. All season, she has been offensive and has built her narrative around half-truths and gossip about her “friends.” Plus, her quest to conquer some strange is less than virtuous—at least by the church’s standards. But Ramona swore she is a changed woman. And to inaugurate her transition, she threw a New Beginnings party. It’s like a quinceanera for a 50-something white woman. The intent of the party was to celebrate Ramona’s fresh start after splitting from her husband, Mario Singer. But apparently, for these laides, new beginnings just means the same old sh*t. The party kicked off with a fight between Ramon and Bethenny. In fact, the moment Bethenny walked in the door, Ramona confronted her. Bethenny said, “Ramona’s, like, got me. She’s on my crotch the second I walk in.” Ramona’s intention was to apologize to Bethenny for blabbing that Bethenny cheated on her first husband. However, Ramona is not known for her well-crafted apologies. In fact, one of her trademark qualities is offering half-hearted I’m-sorries. And she proved this to be true again. Her apology turned into a fight when Bethenny mentioned she didn’t want to deal with Ramona’s sob story. In her interview, Bethenny stated, “I don’t have the energy to be mad at Ramona.” All season, a recurring theme on RHONYC has been quick apologies. And that remained true tonight. Bethenny and Ramona hashed it out for a few breaths. Then, they hugged it out. And that was that. Like most of the season, their fight was uneventful. Things almost got good in a fight between Sonja and Kristen! After Sonja’s fashion show, a New York Post reporter asked Kristen about Sonja’s elusive toaster oven. Kristen told the reporter that she would like Sonja to come out with the toaster oven because she only cooks using a toaster oven. A quick flashback scene proved that Kristen simply answered the question the reporter asked, and she was being supportive. Still, that did not go over well with Sonja. And she brought out her inner six-year-old to prove it. “Things have come to light that I don’t think are worth talking about,” Sonja said. “I don’t want to talk to you ever again about my career or my future.” She pouted, “I don’t want to be friends with you anymore.” And for once, finally, Kristen actually did something. She raised her voice and fought back when Sonja accused her of trash talking her to the media. Kristen’s presence on the show has been less than entertaining all season. So much that there have been rumors that she won’t be returning for the next season of RHONYC . But could her last minute sass save her a spot on the show? The other fight of the night was between Carole and LuAnn. When Carole started dating LuAnn’s really young chef (who also dated LuAnn’s niece), their friendship began to unravel. And when LuAnn was busted with some strange while the ladies were on vacay in the Turks and Caicos, Carole took offense. The tension between them came to a head at the New Beginnings party. LuAnn accused Carole of trying to catch her red handed with a guy. LuAnn even claimed that by barging her room, Carole exposed her promiscuous ways to her daughter. As Carole tactfully mentioned, if you don’t want your daughter to know you are banging dudes on vacation, don’t bang dudes on vacation. LuAnn called Carole a liar. Carole denied it. Blah, blah, blah. Someone delivered a mango margarita, and the fight was over. The only other moment of interest during the season finale was between John and Dorinda. John and Dorinda have been dating for three years. John’s flirty behavior is, at best, questionable. And Dorinda hasn’t quite healed from the passing of her husband. To add to the complications, Dorinda’s daughter, Hannah, hates John. Yet the couple has remained together. John took a bold step and offered a pseudo-proposal to Dorinda at a pizza place. Like most things involving John, the scene was uncomfortable to watch. “There’s no ring in your pocket, is there?” Dorinda nervously asked. John responded, “I do have a ring. Can I bring it out?” Dorinda harshly replied, “No,” and kept eating. Rightfully, she was p*ssed he was going to propose in a pizza joint. Not that a proposal has to be picture perfect. But who wants a sweaty guy that has flirted with all of your friends to pop the question over a poached egg pizza? John ended up asking Dorinda to move in with him. It was hard to determine if he was really going to propose or not. But either way, the whole scene was awkward. So that’s it. The Real Housewives of New York City celebrated another season finale! And viewers are celebrating that they don’t have to deal with such a boring season anymore. As Ramona angrily toasted to her friends, hitting their wine glasses so hard they nearly broke, she reminded everyone that even though they are “friends,” there is always more drama to be had. Last night’s The Real Housewives of New York City Season 7 Episode 1 marked the return of Bravo’s hit series, and with it, a notably notorious blast from the past. An original cast member, Bethenny charmed the audience with her quick wit and relatable personality. She was seen peeing in the toilet taking a pregnancy test, struggling to make ends meet, and fumbling through awkward relationships. You know, stuff we’ve all been through. She left the show after Season 3 to film her spin-off series, Bethenny Ever After , and to focus on other business endeavors, such as writing, hosting a talk show, and promoting her Skinnygirl cocktail line. But as her return launches The Real Housewives of New York City Season 7 premiere, she could not be further from the approachable personality that catapulted her into stardom. In the opening segment of the episode, she states, “I am the wealthiest homeless person in Manhattan.” Bethenny groans this as she checks into a presidential suite with marble floors, bottled Fiji water for her dog, and martini olives brought at her request. Throughout the episode, in a fragmented narrative, Bethenny discloses her housing predicament. And though her attempt may be a pathetic plea for sympathy, her whining only underscores her privilege. Searching for a home with realtor Fredrik Eklund, cast member of Bravo’s Million Dollar Listing New York, she explains that her former husband, Jason Hoppy, is living in the apartment she bought, leaving her “homeless.” Yet she tearfully tells Eklund, in the summer, “I had to buy a place in The Hamptons,” and “I bought a place downtown that needs to be renovated.” She sobs, “I am staying in corporate apartments.” None of this sounds like a problem. But if a level-headed rich lady from the Upper East Side exists, she might be it. What stole the spotlight from Dorinda was her daughter, Hannah. Hannah is the runner-up for Bethenny’s most-annoying-person-on-television tiara. Taking a break from college, Hannah is “finding herself.” Even Dorinda asks, “What is finding yourself on the Upper East Side?” It’s called dropping out of college to live off your fortune, Dorinda. Donning eyebrow pencil that gives a 1980s Madonna a run for her money, Hannah justifies buying an “ironic and playful” Fendi bag. (It’s ugly). And she downplays the fact that she stole her mother’s credit card to go shopping. She is the quintessential brat. Who would have guessed that Ramona Singer would bring forth the only truly compelling drama of the episode? Ramona is currently divorcing, Mario, her husband of 25 years. While dining on Madison Avenue with BFF Sonja, Ramona – in a surprisingly composed manner – states, this is “the weirdest time of my life” and “my whole world has fallen apart.” Sonja was too busy caring about Sonja to sympathize. But Dorinda offered Ramona some much needed support. Though the catfights are what keep us watching, the tender relationship between Dorinda and Ramona proves that the ladies of NYC can be compassionate and sympathetic – sometimes. The rest of the episode is filled with arbitrary commentary from the ladies on the sideline. Sonja is still drunk. As Heather states, she is #ihaveaproblemdrunk. She also gets human placenta facials. Even Sonja admits to her state of unraveling. She claims, “I used to be classy. Now, I’m trashy.” Don’t shoot the messenger Sonja, but you’ve never been classy. LuAnn loves The Hamptons and thinks “a couple extra pounds is good for my face.” You can’t see the pounds through the Botox, sister. Kristen says her husband isn’t as much of an asshole. Doubt it. And Carole is so busy having a fabulous life, she has forgotten to work. Her publisher scolded her for not meeting her writing deadlines. Carole responded in her interview, “I should have been working harder and enjoying my life a little less.” She might be joining the Bethenny and Hannah club for the most obnoxious shit said on this episode. Certainly, this season will serve a healthy portion of drama. We just might need a drink or two to survive the return of Bethenny.
