Carole Radziwill: No One Actually Wanted to Film With Tinsley Mortimer!

The Real Housewives of New York City alum Carole Radziwill has had some sassy remarks about her former show . Now she has some much more serious reflections on a failed friendship with Bethenny. Carole also mentions that she only spent time with Tinsley when the producers needed her to. Ouch . This week, Carole Radziwill appeared on The Jenny McCarthy Show to speak to the noted plague enthusiast about her experience on RHONY . And Tinsley Mortimer has had more flattering descriptions of her made. “Tinsley and I weren’t really clicking,” Carole Radziwille admits. “We were on the show together,” she notes, but “no one wanted to film with her that much.” “I had fixed her up with this guy I knew,” Carole says, referring to Scott Kluth. “So it was an easy way to do scenes together.” “We filmed a lot together,” Carole recalls. “But a lot of it was, ‘Oh you’re going to stay in Tinsley’s room’ when the producer would divvy up rooms.” In other words, they shared a lot of screen time, but did not do so very organically. “I was like ‘Okay, but that’s not really what I would do,” she admits. Carole clarifies: “I would normally go to the Hamptons and stay at Bethenny’s house,’” “‘This is weird that I’m staying at Tinsley’s.’ So a lot of that,” she explains. “And Bethenny knew that.” “After filming, I never spoke with Tinsley,” Carole reveals. “And,” she continues. “I haven’t seen or talked to her in a year or two years,” “We weren’t clicking,” Carole explains, despite any appearances to the contrary. She adds: “That was one of those story lines.” It’s not at all uncommong for reality TV producers to put two characters in proximity to each other, even if they wouldn’t normally spend that time together. Honeslty, this is The Real Housewives — most groups of neighbors don’t go on annual vacations without their families, either. ““I was a very good friend to [Bethenny],” Carole says. “That’s all I’m going to say.” “I supported her in her charities, I gave her a lot of money…I really cared about her,” she details. Carole expresses: “I was just being a really good friend to her.” Seeing their falling out after just a few months spent apart was … difficult. Sometimes, strong personalities do not react well to a little distance. As for the postmortum view of her erstwhile friendship with Bethenny Frankel, Carole has some thoughts. “I think I was trying to establish some boundaries at the end,” Carole expresses. “And sometimes,” she laments. “People don’t do well with that.” “I just wanted … it was just a little too much Bethenny and not enough Carole in that relationship,” Carole assesses. “But,” she emphasizes. “I didn’t blow that friendship up.” Analyzing how a friendship came to an end can be nothing short of agonizing — even when so much of that played out on television. But we have to say that we’re not sure how Tinsley Mortimer may be feeling right now. Carole’s dryest assessment is that what looked like a friendship between them was just a storyline … and that nobody actually liked her. Carole isn’t saying that to be mean. That’s just her assessment of the situation.

Azealia Banks to Elon Musk: Sorry! You’re Not Really a Balding Drug Addict!

One of the most amusing gossip items of August had to do with the highly unexpected feud between Azealia Banks and Elon Musk . In case you’re unfamiliar with those names, they perfectly represent the two main archetypes of American egomania: Banks is the gifted artist whose rage over the fact that she still has to ride the subway like a plebe has driven her to repeatedly sabotage her own career. Conversely, Musk is quite successful financially but is consistently driven mad over the world’s unwillingness to recognize him as the heir to Einstein, Edison, Henry Ford, and Jesus H. Christ. In other words, they may not seem to have much in common — Banks is a self-made creative, whereas Mush is a left-brain cyborg who could’ve spent his entire life blowing his family’s emerald mine fortune. But at the end of the day, Banks and Musk are just two sides of the same narcissistic coin. Perhaps that’s why they clashed upon first meeting, then later realized they were destined to join forces. Allow us to explain: Earlier this month, NYC-based Banks spent some time in LA with the intention of collaborating on a song with Musk’s girlfriend, Grimes. So she paid a visit to Musk’s sprawling mansion and found it to have less of a “Tony Stark” vibe and more of an “Allison Williams’ parent’s house in Get Out ” feel. In addition to comparing her experience to Jordan Peele’s horror classic, Banks says she witnessed a wealth of appallingly self-destructive behavior from both Musk and Grimes. Banks referred to Musk as a “giant d–k” and a “beta male who took steroids and hair plugs to convince himself he’s alpha.” She also accused Musk of conducting business while tripping on LSD, and Grimes of being a meth addict. She later alleged that Musk had stolen her phone so that he could “delete evidence” of their encounter. Needless to say, after all that it was quite a surprise to see that Banks had issued a public apology to Musk: “I feel terrible about everything,” reads the now-deleted open letter that was posted to Banks’ Instagram page. “Over the time spent liaising said collaborations [with Grimes], I was welcomed to a lot of personal information about you,” Banks wrote. “The stuff made me feel awkward and uncomfortable about being privy to you, yet I never had the intentions of ever using the information against you. She added: “What started off as a cat-fight lead to some seriously unexpected consequences and I seriously apologize.” Interestingly, Banks’ refused to use Grimes name throughout the letter, referring to her would-be collaborator only with a pair of empty quotation marks. After posting the letter, Banks deleted her Instagram account, but now appears to have re-instated her account. We’ll continue to monitor this weird-ass situation and let you know if it gets any weirder. View Slideshow: Azealia Banks and Her Beefs: Who’s She Shading Now?

Carole Radziwill Doubles Down: Bethenny Frankel is a Bully!

In real life, Bethenny Frankel is mourning Dennis Shields , both in private and in public. On the The Real Housewives of New York City reunion , however, she’s been facing off against her frenemies. Carole Radziwill accused her of bullying her now that they’re no longer friends. Some RHONY fans took issue with her accusation, and Carole took to Twitter to defend herself. Who is right? Towards the end of The Real Housewives of New York City Season 10, Episode 21 , ex-friends Bethenny and Carole did a postmortem on how their friendship ended. “What she does is, she creates this narrative, this false narrative about me,” Carole accused. “This false narrative that I’m some girl who’s this, this and this.” “It’s completely false,” Carole said as she aired her grievances. “Half of it is lies.” When Bethenny interrupted, Carole said: “Are you going to continue to bully me, or am I going to be able to speak?” Multiple times, Carole doubled down on her accusation that Bethenny is a bully who has been bullying her. “Let’s stop using the word bully,” tweeted a fan. “These women are getting paid a lot more of money to be on this show. It’s a choice.” The fan points out that, in contrast: “When children are getting bullied in schools or People for being different are harassed. That’s bullying.” Carole replied … and shared that she disagreed. “I get your point but don’t belittle what is happening here,” Carole wrote in her tweet. “[Obviously] I can handle it but kids need to know…..mocking someone and talking over a person is an intimidation technique. I.e. Bullying 101.” “If they learn to stand up against that,” Carole wrote. “The bully won’t be quick to escalate it.” But fans weren’t letting Carole off of the hook. “You need to think carefully about the word bully,” a fan tweeted. “You haven’t been bullied at all. You both don’t like each other. You both said hurtful things. Move on.” The fan cautioned Carole: “Don’t undermine others that have had their lives ruined by bullying by saying what has happend with you and Bethenny is bullying.” “No I disagree,” Carole wrote. “We need to call out even the smallest infractions as bullying. Only this way we can change the dynamic.” Carole continued: “Just like the # metoo  movement is calling out ALL inappropriate actions. Men will pause next time they reach for a girls shoulders to rub. Change happens slowly.” Fans remained unconvinced, and continued to try to explain to Carole that bullying refers to a specific dynamic between perpetrator and victim. “So where’s the power differential in this situation?” tweeted a fan. “Where’s the intimidation? Where’s the fear? Where’s the helplessness?” Carole is a rich white woman who is related to royalty. Her potential pool for who could conceivably bully her is pretty narrow. “She has a choice,” wrote another fan. “Bullied people don’t have a choice. It was an argument between two friends that aren’t getting along right now.” This is a very complicated topic. A lot of terms — especially buzzwords — get thrown around and then misused until they’re all but meaningless. Most people would look at two former friends who are no longer again and say that they are feuding. One says cruel things about the other? That’s feuding. In contrast, the only Muslim kid at a middle school isn’t “feuding” with some mean kids on his bus. A gay child isn’t “feuding” with the classmates who tell him to hang himself. At the same time, is the definition of bullying as narrow as these fans suggest? Perhaps there are different types of bullying. Language is complicated, and both the literal meanings of words and the connotations of those words can evolve over time. The Real Housewives of New York Season 10 Episode 19 Recap: Life is a Cabaret

Have you been questioning the lack of drama on The Real Housewives of New York of late? If so, then The Real Housewives of New York Season 10 Episode 19 was the episode you’ve been waiting for.  The feud between Dorinda Medley and Luann de Lesseps continued to brew.  Watch The Real Housewives of New York City Season 10 Episode 19 Online It all started when Dorinda wanted her boyfriend to be her plus one to the event, but Luann said it was too late to make that request.  While it was frustrating for Dorinda, she realized the true extent of her problem with Luann when she learned that Tinsley Mortimer’s boyfriend, Scott was invited.  Tinsley was quick to tell Dorinda about it and it made her question why Luann was being so off with her. In true Dorinda fashion, she got drunker as the night went on and hurled insults Luann’s way.  Sonja Morgan, whose dress flew off during the performance, chatted with Bethenny Frankel about Dorinda’s drinking.  “She needs to go away like Luann did,” Sonja said, and Bethenny agreed that it would be the best course of action.  “If you’re drinking and you’re getting angry and it’s affecting your relationships, rehab could be great,” Sonja said. “Luann said it was fabulous. She enjoyed it. I’m not judging anyone. What do they say about glass houses? I can’t say a word. I’m just saying she might like it.” Bethenny wanted to speak to Carole because of all the animosity between them of late, and they had a genuine conversation.  But then Hurricane Ramona Singer showed up and tried to switch things up.  “I have something I’d like to speak to you about — and [Carole] could be here or not be here — so give me a time frame,” Ramona said to Bethenny. “You’ll have to call my secretary, and I’ll give you an appointment,” Bethenny replied with the biggest grin of the season.  Ramona subsequently dragged Bethenny because she skipped the launch of her skincare line.  “I hear you. Okay? Good. I understand that you’re disappointed, and I got it,” Bethenny said.”Noted. I don’t feel the need to give you an explanation.” It was a lot of back and forth, and Bethenny later said in a confessional that Ramona’s businesses never seem to stand the test of time because she “didn’t take it seriously.” While that argument was over, Bethenny went on to stir the pot to find out why Dorinda’s boyfriend was not invited.  Bethenny was taken aback when she learned that it was all down to Dorinda’s comments about her sobriety.  “Thank you so much for having me, and thank you so much for inviting Scott last minute,” Dorinda barked after learning the truth.  The other housewives watched from the sidelines, expecting a huge fight, but Dorinda was done. She got up and left the party, leaving everyone wondering what might have been.  We then got a title card confirming that the two ladies are still not talking, so there’s that. The sad thing is we won’t get to see them go at it during the reunion because Luann had to skip it due to rehab.  What are your thoughts on the latest episode? Hit the comments below! Carole Radziwill: Done with The Real Housewives of New York City!

We have another Real Housewives franchise cast shake-up. Just hours after we confirmed that Kenya Moore has left the Atlanta version of this program admist a messy contract negotiation, we can now also announce the following: Carole Radziwill is finished with Bravo as well. The 54-year-old, who not everyone realizes is an award-winning journalist and best-selling author, told People Magazine on Wednesday evening that she’s departing the cable network hit. She joined the program during Season 5. “After six seasons on Bravo’s RHONY, I have decided to return to what I do best –  journalism and producing,” Radziwill said today, adding in more detail: “I am sure this does not come as a surprise to any of the viewers, all of whom have been supportive, encouraging, and kind. “My original curiosity about reality television has waned over the years and I am focusing on TV and writing projects that better suit my more steady temperament. Radziwill came on board as a Real Housewife in 2012, along with Heather Thomson and Aviva Drescher. It may seem hard to believe now to those who follow this franchise closely, but Carole quickly became good friends with SkinnyGirl founder Bethenny Frankel in Season 8. Their friendship has soured significantly, however. Radziwill and Frankel went at it very hard , in fact, on the most recent episode of this reality smash. You can watch The Real Housewives of New York City online via the following video in order to see what transpired: Watch The Real Housewives of New York City Season 10 Episode 15 Online In her statement to People, Radziwill concluded with a combination of sincerity and humor: “I have worked with amazing producers, made great friends, and I’m thrilled to leave frenemies behind. “I will remember this entire experience with delight, humor, and a veracious accuracy. Next.” For those unaware, Radziwill really does have an impressive journalistic resume. She was stationed in Iraq back in 1991 and was embedded with an infantry unit of the 101st Airborne Division in Afghanistan in 2003. In 2006, Radziwill signed with Glamour magazine to write a monthly column titled Lunch Date. Carole also sold her first novel, The Widow’s Guide to Sex & Dating, in a six-figure deal to Holt Publishing. It was released on February 11, 2014. For her work, Radziwill has won three Emmys and a Peabody. In the wakeof her departure, meanwhile, Radziwill left a very simple note on Instagram. It reads as follows: Radziwill’s husband Anthony, died in 1999 after a five-year battle with cancer. She’s currently in an on-again, off-again relationship with chef and filmmaker Adam Kenworthy. The Real Housewives of New York City Season 8 Episode 12 Recap: Always a B!tch …

Wednesday on  The Real Housewives of New York City Season 8 Episode 12 , Sonja and Ramona made up after a recent falling out. Ramona’s efforts to help Sonja get back into Bethenny’s good graces proved more challenging, however. Because, well, it’s Bethenny. Watch The Real Housewives of New York City Season 8 Episode 12 Online If you  watch The Real Housewives of New York City online , you know that this has been an epic season thus far, for a couple of reasons: Bethenny is losing her s–t Bethenny is REALLY losing her s–t Seriously. Bethenny Frankel has never been one to mince words. We know this, and are under no delusion that she isn’t a tough cookie. Still, the extreme highs and lows have been something else. Every single week, the cast walks on eggshells, and The Real Housewives of New York City Season 8 Episode 12 was no exception. You always feel like you’re one misstep away from a blowup, which invariably happens, and after which, Frankel becomes embarrassed. Is the stress of her divorce getting to her? Is she back on Bravo for the money, and just can’t handle forced conversations with LuAnn? Is it because she’s dating a married man, Dennis Shields ? Or because she’s being skinny-shamed on Instagram ? It’s not clear, but what we can can tell you after last night is that the emotional side effects of her recent health crisis have taken a toll. During shopping trip with Dorinda, Frankel literally doubled over in pain, then rushed herself to the doctor due to her swollen fibroids. Bethenny scheduled an “extremely painful” surgery to have them removed in late May, which she sought to keep off of the reality show. To no avail. What Andy Cohen wants, he gets. “I slept in bed for like a week,” Frankel says. “I just focused on getting healthy.” Fortunately, nowadays she’s “really good,” she says. “I look forward to walking on the beach. I’m in a happy place right now.”  “It was a really enlightening experience.” Just don’t expect her to suddenly be BFF with LuAnn. Some dynamics, not even an enlightening experience are going to transform. View Slideshow: 16 Reasons Why You Need a Best Friend Like Sonja Morgan

The Real Housewives of New York City Recap: New Beginnings My A$$!

Tuesday on The Real Housewives of New York City , Bethenny and Ramona’s feud continued, while the latter hosted her New Beginnings party. Would anyone truly begin anew, though? When The Real Housewives of New York City Season 7 Episode 19 got underway, it was evident the season finale was going to be as boring as the rest of the season. The season finale episode started off with yet another a** kissing moment between Ramona and Sonja. Though their relationship has wavered over the years, Ramona and Sonja have somehow retained a sense of friendship—whatever that means on a reality show. Ramona stopped by Sonja’s house to congratulate her for a successful fashion show. “Everyone’s mouth dropped,” Ramona complimented. What Ramona failed to mention is that their mouths probably dropped because they were shocked Sonja actually had a line of clothing to show. Her “international fashion lifestyle brand” has been questionable throughout the course of the season.  But, somehow, she pulled it off. The compliments quickly changed to complaints though.  Sonja pried for information about the spat between Bethenny and Ramona during the fashion show. Of course, Ramona played innocent  “I don’t know why Bethenny picked a fashion show to start a fight with me,” she whined. For the entire season, Ramona has been playing the I’m-a-changed-person card.  “I have changed,” she said. “I just came from church from Ash Wednesday.” Though going to Ash Wednesday is a good start, Ramona might benefit more from confession.   All season, she has been offensive and has built her narrative around half-truths and gossip about her “friends.” Plus, her quest to conquer some strange is less than virtuous—at least by the church’s standards. But Ramona swore she is a changed woman.  And to inaugurate her transition, she threw a New Beginnings party.  It’s like a quinceanera for a 50-something white woman. View Slideshow: 20 Really Big Real Housewives Scandals The majority of the episode featured Ramona’s weird party.  The intent of the party was to celebrate Ramona’s fresh start after splitting from her husband, Mario Singer. But apparently, for these laides, new beginnings just means the same old sh*t. The party kicked off with a fight between Ramon and Bethenny.  In fact, the moment Bethenny walked in the door, Ramona confronted her. Bethenny said, “Ramona’s, like, got me.  She’s on my crotch the second I walk in.” Ramona’s intention was to apologize to Bethenny for blabbing that Bethenny cheated on her first husband.  However, Ramona is not known for her well-crafted apologies. In fact, one of her trademark qualities is offering half-hearted I’m-sorries.  And she proved this to be true again. Her apology turned into a fight when Bethenny mentioned she didn’t want to deal with Ramona’s sob story.  In her interview, Bethenny stated, “I don’t have the energy to be mad at Ramona.” All season, a recurring theme on RHONYC has been quick apologies.  And that remained true tonight.  Bethenny and Ramona hashed it out for a few breaths.  Then, they hugged it out.  And that was that.  Like most of the season, their fight was uneventful. Things almost got good in a fight between Sonja and Kristen! After Sonja’s fashion show, a New York Post reporter asked Kristen about Sonja’s elusive toaster oven. Kristen told the reporter that she would like Sonja to come out with the toaster oven because she only cooks using a toaster oven. A quick flashback scene proved that Kristen simply answered the question the reporter asked, and she was being supportive. Still, that did not go over well with Sonja.  And she brought out her inner six-year-old to prove it. “Things have come to light that I don’t think are worth talking about,” Sonja said.  “I don’t want to talk to you ever again about my career or my future.” She pouted, “I don’t want to be friends with you anymore.” And for once, finally, Kristen actually did something.  She raised her voice and fought back when Sonja accused her of trash talking her to the media. Kristen’s presence on the show has been less than entertaining all season.  So much that there have been rumors that she won’t be returning for the next season of RHONYC . But could her last minute sass save her a spot on the show? The other fight of the night was between Carole and LuAnn.  When Carole started dating LuAnn’s really young chef (who also dated LuAnn’s niece), their friendship began to unravel. And when LuAnn was busted with some strange while the ladies were on vacay in the Turks and Caicos, Carole took offense. The tension between them came to a head at the New Beginnings party. LuAnn accused Carole of trying to catch her red handed with a guy.  LuAnn even claimed that by barging her room, Carole exposed her promiscuous ways to her daughter. As Carole tactfully mentioned, if you don’t want your daughter to know you are banging dudes on vacation, don’t bang dudes on vacation. LuAnn called Carole a liar.  Carole denied it.  Blah, blah, blah.  Someone delivered a mango margarita, and the fight was over.  The only other moment of interest during the season finale was between John and Dorinda.   John and Dorinda have been dating for three years.  John’s flirty behavior is, at best, questionable.  And Dorinda hasn’t quite healed from the passing of her husband.   To add to the complications, Dorinda’s daughter, Hannah, hates John. Yet the couple has remained together. John took a bold step and offered a pseudo-proposal to Dorinda at a pizza place.  Like most things involving John, the scene was uncomfortable to watch. “There’s no ring in your pocket, is there?” Dorinda nervously asked. John responded, “I do have a ring.  Can I bring it out?” Dorinda harshly replied, “No,” and kept eating. Rightfully, she was p*ssed he was going to propose in a pizza joint.   Not that a proposal has to be picture perfect.  But who wants a sweaty guy that has flirted with all of your friends to pop the question over a poached egg pizza? John ended up asking Dorinda to move in with him.  It was hard to determine if he was really going to propose or not.  But either way, the whole scene was awkward. So that’s it.  The Real Housewives of New York City celebrated another season finale!  And viewers are celebrating that they don’t have to deal with such a boring season anymore.   As Ramona angrily toasted to her friends, hitting their wine glasses so hard they nearly broke, she reminded everyone that even though they are “friends,” there is always more drama to be had. Until next season!

Naya Rivera Takes Ryan Dorsey’s Last Name on Twitter

Naya Rivera knows a thing or two about moving fast. The Glee star married Ryan Dorsey over the weekend in a stunning surprise ceremony. Not only did Rivera get hitched just three months after ending her engagement to Big Sean , she’s now wasting no time jumping into the role of loving wife, having changed her name on Twitter to Naya Rivera-Dorsey, just hours after news of her marriage went public.  Naya Rivera: Married to Ryan Dorsey! No word on whether or not Naya has legally changed her name, or if she even intends to, but for public figures in 2014, changing a Twitter handle is a mighty big deal. Heck, just the fact that Naya is using the social networking site is something of a surprise. Rivera deleted her Twitter account last month, apparently distraught over the end of her relationship and rumors that career was in trouble.  So is this her way of saying all is well and everything has been restored to order, thanks to Dorsey? Or is she just all giddy because she got married a few days ago? Either way, we wish Naya all the best, but we’d like to encourage her to take just a smidge more time to consider major life decisions in the future.  9 Celebrities Who Married Way Down 1. Aviva Drescher: Leg Throw Was NOT Planned! And I’m NOT Sorry!

It’s not often that one encounters someone taking off their prosthetic leg, bang it on the table and throw it across the table to make a point at a restaurant. Not everyone can be Aviva Drescher, however. The reality star says her leg-throwing shenanigans on The Real Housewives of New York City season finale last night were not planned … and she’s not sorry. After a heated argument at Le Cirque, in which she was called a phony, Aviva Drescher threw her leg , saying the prothesic limb is the only “fake” thing about her. The way she seamlessly delivered that comeback, punctuated by the removal of the leg, led many to believe that the eye-popping stunt was premeditated. Not the case, she says – but she’d do it again. “I just thought the whole thing was funny,” the RHONY cast member says . “I just think accusing somebody of making up an illness is funny.” “I think Heather [Thomson] standing up and yelling at me like a pit bull is funny. I think me getting angry and throwing my leg on the table was really funny and crazy.” “I get a hoot out of it,” Aviva says, noting wittily, “but of course, I was definitely brought to the end of my rope, or the end of my leg so to speak.” Why the theatrics, though? Aviva Drescher Throws Leg Drescher “wanted to make a point” about the lies she’s accused of. If you watch The Real Housewives of New York City online , you know it was a decent list. “They were kind of saying that I was implying all the time that I was lying to Carole [Radziwill] with Bookgate and I was lying about my asthma,” she says. “I was lying about neither. I’m on a reality show and I expect to be made fun of and ridiculed … I get all that and I expect it all. But, I don’t appreciate being called a liar.” “So, was I planning [the leg throw]? I didn’t plan it. It was not a premeditated leg-throw … it only takes about one second to [remove the prosthesis].” “I’m an advocate for amputees … to that end, all in my amputee community think it was another step in speaking up for myself,” Aviva insists. Besides, “from an entertainment point of view, for better or for worse, I am a reality TV personality, and I strive to be the best that I can be in whatever I am doing.” “I think that I did that … I don’t regret it … I would do it again. I wasn’t throwing it at anybody or hurting anybody. It was a physical expression of an emotion.” Well, at least she’s owning it. 19 Real Housewives Feuds For the Ages 19. Aviva Drescher vs. Carole Radziwill This one is alive and well. Aviva Drescher and Carole Radziwill have more bad blood over their dueling book deals than most people have had in their whole lives about everything and everyone combined.
