Apega/WENN.com Rumor control… Tinashe Explains Her Colorism Comments After getting obliterated on social media, Tinashe is explaining the convoluted comments that landed her in hot water. Tinashe recently chatted with The Guardian about her upbringing and life in the music industry. Things got especially interesting however when the “Too On” songstress spoke on colorism in the black community. According to Tinashe, in the music biz you’re “either Rihanna or Beyonce… “It’s kind of like sport; people feel like they have to pick a side.” Suddenly she springs forward, her default laid-back demeanour temporarily out of the window. “There are hundreds of [male] rappers that all look the same, that sound the same, but if you’re a black woman, you’re either Beyoncé or Rihanna. It’s very, very strange.” Judy Eddy/WENN.com and sometimes the biracial songstress doesn’t feel “fully accepted” in the black community. “Tinashe’s mixed-race heritage, which was used “as another example of why I was different” during those difficult school years, also remains an issue. “There’s colourism involved in the black community, which is very apparent,” she says carefully. “It’s about trying to find a balance where I’m a mixed woman, and sometimes I feel like I don’t fully fit into the black community; they don’t fully accept me, even though I see myself as a black woman. Who Looked More Bangin’ At The Women In Film Awards?

(WENN) Last night, Women In Film, Los Angeles hosted the 2017 Crystal + Lucy Awards® presented by Max Mara and BMW at The Beverly Hilton. Two of our FAVORITE women on the planet were in the building — Tracee Ellis Ross and Lupita Nyong’o. (WENN) Both Tracee and Lupita looked incredible, but if you had to pick one, Who Looked More Bangin’? Hit the flip for more photos and details from the event (Apega/WENN) The Crystal Award honoree Elizabeth Banks and Lucy Award honoree Tracee Ellis Ross each received special video messages from former First Ladies. Following Ross’ acceptance speech, she was surprised with a video message from Mrs. Obama. In the video, Mrs. Obama congratulated Ross and said, “You are brilliant, you are hilarious, and you are one of the most talented actors I know. Your character on Black-ish, Bow, is an inspiration for folks across this country.” Before Elizabeth Banks was presented the Crystal Award by Donna Langley, she was surprised with a video message from Senator Hillary Clinton. In the video, Clinton thanked Women In Film for “more than 40 years of championing gender parity in media on and off the screen.” And shared, “I want to congratulate my dear friend Elizabeth Banks… You are not only a creative force in front of the camera and behind it – you are a passionate advocate for women’s equality and opportunity.” Lupita Nyong’o presented the BMW Dorothy Arzner Directors Award to her Queen of Katwe director Mira Nair.

Tori Spelling and Jennie Garth: We STILL Hate Tiffani Thiessen!

Beverly Hills, 90210 went off the air 17 years ago. Which makes us feel VERY old. But try telling that to Tori Spelling and Jennie Garth. Two of the drama’s original cast members, these two women continue to hold a grudge against a former colleague as if the series just ended yesterday. Last Friday evening, Garth and Spelling appeared in a RuPaul’s Drag Race sketch based on the smash hit drama for their best known. In the segment, Garth’s character was critiquing a contestant played by Thiessen’s 90210 vixen, Valerie Malone, when Garth refused to even say Thiessen’s name. “As Ti … how do you say it?” Garth joked, at which point Spelling jumped in replied: “Just say, ‘That which we don’t speak of.’” The actresses then laughed, as Garth agreed: “Yes, we know her as ‘That which we don’t speak of.’” Wow. Who knew Thiessen was akin to Voldermort in the eyes of these actresses? Thiessen came on board 90210 as the replacement for Shannen Doherty, after that controversial actress departed the series as Brenda Walsh in 1994. Back in 2012, Thiessen told Howard Stern that she and Garth “had a falling out and we grew apart,” adding that she was the one who was “hurt” and not wanting to delve into any more details. When it came to Spelling, however, Thiessen explained that she was very close to Tori’s her first husband, Charlie Shanian. When the couple split in 2005, it basically ruined her friendship with her ex-co-star forever. “It was a hard situation for everybody. We were close with Charlie [Shanian] … my best friend was Charlie’s roommate. It was hard,” Thiessen told Stern in the same interview. In the many, many years since Beverly Hills, 90210 went off the air, Spelling has mostly made news for pumping out numerous kids and going through a multitude of marital problems with second husband Dean McDermott. She may even be broke . But Spelling has remained close to Garth, even starring for one season with her on some show titled “Mystery Girls.” Thiessen, meanwhile, has enjoyed the most professional success of these three actresses. She starred for five seasons as Elizabeth Burke on the USA Network his White Collar and who could ever forget her turn as Wilhelmina “Billie” Chambers on the former Fox drama Fast Lane. Okay, fair point: most people have likely forgotten about it. We’re yet to hear from Thiessen’s rep in regard to any sort of response to Spelling and Garth’s latest diss. But we somehow doubt she’ll comment. She’s likely moved far past this feud. The ABFF Honors Brings Out Black Hollywood THE 2017 “BET PRESENTS THE AMERICAN BLACK FILM FESTIVAL HONORS” took place on Friday, February 17, 2017 at the Beverly Hilton in Los Angeles. Comedy queen Regina Hall kept the audience laughing as host of the evening’s festivities. The annual event celebrates Black culture by honoring individuals, movies and television shows that have had a significant impact on American entertainment. Actor and director Denzel Washington was honored with the “Hollywood Legacy Award,” musician and actress Queen Latifah with the “Entertainment Icon Award,” writer, producer and actress Issa Rae with the “Rising Star Award,” film director and producer F. Gary Gray with the “Excellence in the Arts Award” and actor and singer, Terrence Howard with the “Excellence in the Arts Award.” Viola Davis, Common, Pharrell Williams, Lee Daniels, Morris Chestnut, Omari Hardwick and Anika Noni Rose and took the stage as presenters while Maxwell and Dionne Farris performed their hits from the film “Love Jones,” which received the “Classic Cinema Award.” Special appearances by Cecily Tyson, Jay Ellis, Kofi Siroboe, Nia Long, Larenz Tate, Alexandra Shipp, Luke James, Kylie Bunbury and more… ABFF Honors will air on BET on Wednesday, February 22, at 8:00pm EST Hit the flip for more photos from the big night, don’t forget to weigh in on Who Looked More Bangin! The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Season 7 Episode 3 Recap: Going Commando

There was a trip to New York, Lisa Vanderpump being called out and some nudity drama for Erika Girardi on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Season 7 Episode 3 .  All of which resulted in a thrilling episode of this hit Bravo series that continues to be one of the best in the franchise.  Watch The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Season 7 Episode 3 Online We kicked things off with Lisa Rinna on her way to New York with daughter, Amelia. Lisa’s business in New York appeared to stem from her other daughter, Delilah’s attempts to make a modeling career for herself.  Kyle Richards was also in New York, preparing to open a store. She had her daughter, Sophia with her. Lisa R decided to stop by Kyle’s store and it was far from complete.  In fact, you’d never believe it was ever going to be a store. It looked like trash. Lisa R revealed to Kyle that she was trying her best to mend fences with Lisa Vanderpump.  She was tired of the animosity between the group. Kyle seemed to think this was a great idea, before Lisa R disappeared to meet someone about Delilah’s modeling career.  Meanwhile, Lisa V was trying to find a gift for Ken. Normally, all Ken seems to receive are gifts for the dog, but it seemed like Lisa V wanted to go for something different this time round.  Dorit Kemsley accompanied the SUR boss, who inevitably settled on giving her husband a watch for his birthday. Ken seemed shocked at it, but was happy.  When Dorit returned home, she revealed that she was having some struggles with motherhood and relied heavily on the nannies to help her with the kids.  Dorit tried to take the kids to the park, but when one of them went crazy in the car, she decided it was best to just stay home with them.  Later, most of the group attended a white party at Pump. Kyle was quick to start things off by making it clear she was better than everyone else.  She told them she had booked Alicia Silverstone for a project about her own upbringing. Yeah, because you just had to reveal that at that moment, Kyle.  Erika then spoke about her nerves about appearing on Eileen’s show because she was nervous about what to expect. Lisa revealed she tried to get a part on it, but was not successful.  The group then started making comments about Lisa’s age. She did not take it in bad taste, but Erika seemed pretty pissed that Lisa chimed in.  “Let’s get fake British accents and start insulting people!” That was not the end of the argument, either, but the rest of it seemed to focus on Erika’s lack of underwear. Kelly Rowland’s Son Is A Handful Kelly Rowland says she would consider having another baby, but for now her hands are full with toddler son Titan Jewell who has been tearing up her crib. Rowland talked to PEOPLE at Friday’s March of Dimes Celebration of Babies at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel in Los Angeles. “One more is just fine!” she joked. “I feel like he’s a handful —drawing on my walls and cussing me out!” “He’s awesome and I’m so blessed to have him,” she says, adding that husband Tim Weatherspoon “is an excellent dad. We have a nice little unit, us three.” Kelly also said her 2-year-old is more into being active than musical but may have more talent than he’s letting on right now. “He is a boy’s boy. But, if he hears myself or anybody singing, he’s going to repeat it,” she says. “I can’t wait ’till Jenny [Hudson] gets to the house so we can play, vocally, together. He’s a sports little guy, trains guy, planes guy.” Kelly also said despite the 2 year age gap, Titan has found Beyoncé’s daughter Blue Ivy to be a great playmate: “They are extremely close. It’s the sweetest thing. It’s the greatest thing about friendship, when you’re able to grow up together and your children grow up together,” she explains. “They act like cousins.” Awww so sweet. Kanye West: Hospital Release Postponed Indefinitely

Kanye West was scheduled to be released from the UCLA Medical Center today, but TMZ is now reporting that the rapper will remain hospitalized for the foreseeable future. It’s not known at this time what prompted the decision, but sources say West was the one who decided he would benefit from further treatment. Details about Kanye’s condition are scarce, but those with knowledge of the situation say he has “not recovered” from the emotional breakdown he suffered last week. TMZ has confirmed that not only will West not be released today, there is currently no date set for his release, and he will remain hospitalized indefinitely. Indications that all was not well with Kanye began to surface last week when he canceled his Saint Pablo tour with little notice. Shortly thereafter, Kanye was hospitalized after suffering some sort of emotional breakdown. It was originally reported that West had been placed on a 5150 psychiatric hold after allegedly assaulting a member of his personal trainer’s staff. Those rumors have been debunked thanks to a 911 call that was released shortly after the incident. While we may never know all the details, it’s clear that whatever is going on with Kanye, it’s serious. Insiders say the rapper and husband of Kim Kardashian is suffering from “extreme paranoia” and exhibiting a number of troubling symptoms. When he first arrived at the treatment facility, he reportedly wouldn’t allow medical staff to touch him. Sources claim his condition has since improved, but it may be weeks before Kanye is able to be return home. John Mayer has scarcely been heard from in 2016. He hasn’t released a new album. He hasn’t played many live shows. He’s scarcely even dated around, with the exception of that rumored Demi Lovato hookup . But now we know why Mayer has been so quiet: He’s been busy catching up on television! Over the weekend, Mayer admitted that he’s already obsessed with This Is Us, the tear-jerking new NBC drama that has caused Kleenex sales to sky-rocket around the nation. “Just saw the first episode of This is Us and I’m hooked. Cryin’ and hooked,” Mayer wrote on Twitter. Unashamed and out in the open about his affection for the freshman series, the artist added: “Not even wiping away tears for the next episodes. Just gonna let the first ones create tracks for a more even, efficient flow.” Those who watch This Is Us online each week can likely agree that this is a good move. If anything, Mayer will cry even harder during episode two… and then even harder than that during episode three… and so on and so forth. Mayer’s fandom didn’t take long to reach Mandy Moore, who plays 1950s housewife Rebecca Pearson on the popular series. She took note of the singer’s Tweets and responded as follows: “Glad you’re digging it, @JohnMayer,” she wrote back. But that wasn’t enough for Mayer. He needed everyone to understand just how much he is digging This Is Us. Heck, he needs everyone to understand that he may need to invent a new word in order to underscore his feelings about the drama. “Beyond dig, @TheMandyMoore. I’m about to attempt one of the most emotionally reckless stunts ever: watching an episode ON AN AIRPLANE,” he Tweeted. HA! We’ve never liked John Mayer more. This Is Us centers around Moore, her TV husband (played by Milo Ventimiglia) and their three children. It takes viewers into the lives of numerous characters even jumps across numerous decades, while also featuring Sterling K. Brown and Justin Hartley in key roles. Oh, and it WILL make you cry.
