The Blacklist Season 2 Episode 8 Recap: Moving On

The Blacklist will be ringing in the new year with a fresh slate. Yes, we’re talking about 2015 already because  The Blacklist Season 2 Episode 8 marked the 2014 finale of this strong NBC drama. Watch The Blacklist Season 2 Episode 8 Online The installment found Reddington working to find out who framed him for Berlin’s daughter’s death, while also investigating a bombing in the Soviet Union that killed 50 people. After a few twists and turns, we learned that Red’s associate Alan Fitch (Alan Alda) was actually behind the frame job. Technically, Fitch used people to do his dirty work because that’s how wealthy folks roll, but let there be no doubt: he’s the guilty party. This revelation prompted Berlin to kill Fitch… and Reddington to subsequently kill Berlin. And – bam ! – just like that, The Blacklist has dispensed of a major chunk of the plot from Seasons 1 and 2. And it’s done so in an organic, impressive manner. With the second half of The Blacklist Season 2 set to kick off on Super Bowl Sunday, we now know where things are going: Fitch’s group, known as The Fulcrum, will be going after Red. Meanwhile, Tom is on the loose. He’s more connected to Red than previously believed, as Lizzie couldn’t bring herself to kill her shady husband, which is at least true to her character. Lizzie shared a nice moment with Reddington toward the end of the hour that speaks volumes about how much closer they continue to grow. What did everyone else think of this episode? Does it leave you wanting more next year? A lot more? Go watch The Blacklist online via the video above in order to relive the fall finale and wonder exactly what may in store this February.

The Blacklist Season 2 Episode 4 Recap: What’s Behind Door #1?

We kicked off The Blacklist Season 2 Episode 4  with a woman being denied her loan at the bank – and also with a man we later learn is Dr. Linus Creel taking notes while watching the woman go into her car. She gets a gun from there and takes out numerous people at the bank. Watch The Blacklist Season 2 Episode 4 Online Cut to Red and Naomi are fighting because he wants her to stay in hiding and she desires to go back to the family she made after leaving Red. She talk about keeping her past a secret and how she’s amazed Red has arranged to work with Liz and how her new husband has sacrificed so much for her. Red says he can put them both into hiding. Liz then phones Red and says she wants to interrogate Naomi, but Red changes the subject to the bank killer and other seemingly innocent people who went nuts; he believes it’s all part of a mind control experiment being conducted by government agents. Okay, he’s got our attention now. Aram then determined Maddie and the other people who have committed random homicides of late all appear to have a genetic defect that makes them more prone to violence. We also learn that Maddie’s life pretty much sucked before she shot up that bank. Back over to the not-so-good doctor, who pulls out hair from his own head and calls up Senator Sheridan. Liz enters Cooper’s office and he informs her that these mind-control experiments are real because he witnessed some during his military days. He refers to it as Sub Project 7. So it’s off to Sheridan’s office for Liz and Ressler because he’s in charge of  black budget programs. He denies any existence of Sub Project 7, but as our heroes depart, yup…. Dr. Linus comes in. Thanks to the work of a code-breaker, Dr. Creel is eventually identified in a photo from documents taken from Sheridan. So Liz goes undercover and pretends to be someone in need of psychiatric help in order to get close to Linus. She tells him a story about her husband leaving her and how she sometimes want to kill him and that his name is “Tom.” We have a feeling there wasn’t much fiction involved in this story. A lot of chaos then ensues during an anti-gun rally, as Linus has programmed another person to kill. But just as Linus holds a gun to Liz’s head, he’s shot dead… by the guy from the same hotel as Liz last week!  Red later admits to Liz that he has hired this sniper to follow her around and if she wants him gone, then she must be hiding something. (Like a tied-up Tom, perhaps?). Liz hears this and leaves. The episode concludes with Liz sitting down and looking at a locked door. She has keys in her hands and keeps staring at the door. Tom HAS to be in there, don’t you think? Finally, Red convinces Frank and Naomi to go into hiding by blackmailing the former over an affair he’s been having. A lot went down during this episode of The Blacklist. A whole lot. Do you agree that Liz must have Tom captive? Watch The Blacklist online via TV Fanatic and sound off now!

Laura Bush Removed from Pro-Gay Marriage Ad

Laura Bush has asked The Respect for Marriage Coalition, which kicked off a $1 million media campaign yesterday, to remove her from an ad that features her support of gay marriage. The spot quotes a number of famous individuals who are behind its cause, including a clip of Bush speaking with Larry King in 2010 and telling the host: “When couples are committed to each other and love each other, then they ought to have the same sort of rights that everyone has.” Respect for Marriage Coalition Ad In response, spokeswoman Anne MacDonald says the former First Lady “did not approve of her inclusion in this advertisement nor is she associated with the group that made the ad in any way.” And the organization has honored Bush’s request, removing her from the campaign and telling Politico: “The ad launched a public education campaign that will now move to new and different voices that reflect the depth and breadth of our support.” A second ad for the campaign – featuring a Republican military veteran named Craig Stowell – will start running over the weekend.

Lindsay Lohan Borrows $1,700 Dress, Returns it in Tatters

Lindsay Lohan allegedly borrowed a really expensive dress, only to return the thing trashed … raise your hand if you’re surprised by this. Hello? Anyone? Lohan went from black tie to the blacklist, according to the N.Y. Daily News , after she got her hands on a pair of scissors following last week’s amFAR gala. At a nightclub, our girl proceeded to CHOP OFF THE ENTIRE BOTTOM HALF off of the RENTED, $1,700 beaded nude and silver Theia Couture dress. Hey. Sometimes you gotta liven things up and/or get some air. Obviously, Lohan is singing a different tune about the events that transpired that night, but the owners of the ruined dress aren’t pleased in any case. “She said the dress ripped by accident and she got scissors from a bouncer at a club to fix it. She said she didn’t have a choice in the matter,” says a source. “God only knows what really happened.” Pretty much sums up LiLo’s entire life at this point. “The dress came back shredded, and you just don’t do that to people. It’s disgusting in the sense that this was a beautiful dress with intricate chains and beading.” “There was no need to cut the dress,” the source continued, noting that in Lindsay Lohan fashion , “She supposedly had another short dress with her in the car.” Lohan’s stylist for the AmFAR event said the situation was under control and that there were no hard feelings over the ill-fated frock … yeah right.
