Fans and viewers recently watched Khloe Kardashian go kaboom on the season finale of Keeping Up With The Kardashians . The season definitely went out with a bang, focusing on the fallout of the now infamous Tristan Thompson cheating scandal. Fans who were left clamoring for more Kardashian drama can rest easy; If Kris Jenner has her way, the whole family will be on air for years to come. According to a RadarOnline report , Kris is currently hard at work locking in the contracts for future seasons of the show. The family’s previous contract was worked out before filming Season 13, back in 2017. It’s only been two years, but because of the family’s legendary overexposure, they’re already filming Season 17. Season 17 will be the final season covered by the last contract, and so it’s time for the family to be looking toward the future. Kris entered the negotiations with high goals and proverbial guns ablaze. The family momager naturally wants all five of the Kardashian/Jenner daughters to return and keep their regular roles on the series. This gets harder every year as these enterprising women grow in their own directions and get involved in their own projects. The biggest takeaway though, is that Kris is asking for another ten seasons! “Kris is shooting for ten more seasons this time around,” a source told RadarOnline, “So she does not have to worry about it.” The source, an individual allegedly close to the family, added that “All of the girls seem to be on board as of right now.” “Although several of her daughters, including Kourney, Kylie and Kendall, have said they wanted out,” the source continued, The insider stated: “Kris knows that they will stay put for the right amount of money.” Kris is probably right. She has shrewd instincts about money, and her daughters’ needs, as a mother and manager should. With that said, Kylie is already a billionaire in her own right. She could walk away from the series, never work again, and still live out her days in luxury. This applies to her sisters as well, if to a lesser extent. But we expect they’ll all return, if only because the show is still doing so well. The first part of the electrifying season 16 finale had 2.3 million total viewers, and was E! ‘s most-streamed episode ever. A family insider reportedly told RadarOnline that “Kris is bragging to everyone about the latest ratings.” “She is sure that it will enable her to get new contracts for all of them,” the insider added. That does sound like something Kris would do, but keep in mind that nothing is set in stone. Contract negotiations are tricky, especially with Karsdashian-level money on the line. The details of the deal are sure to change before everything is finalized. We’d love to get some more solid information, such as an announcement from E!, the network that actually airs the program. For now, it’s enough to know that the show is doing well, and that Kris Jenner is putting all her terrifying might into keeping her dynasty on air for as long as possible. Over the weekend, the British Royal Family shared photos from baby Archie’s christening . It was a small and very formal ceremony, but one family member in particular was conspicuously absent. Meghan Markle’s awful dad was not invited, but he’s still speaking out about how much he’d have liked to go. Speaking to the Mail on Sunday , Thomas Markle opened up about whether he’d have attended his grandson’s christening. “I have been asked if I would have liked to have gone to Britain to see my new grandson being christened,” Thomas noted. He then furnishes anyone interested with elements of his own backstory. “I was an altar boy at age 12,” he recalls. “A confirmed member of the Queen’s church at age 14.” “And,” Thomas reminds the world. “Archie is my new grandson.” Thomas continues, explaining that there’s no question as to whether he’d have liked to have attended the ceremony. “Of course I would have enjoyed being there for the blessing,” Thomas affirms. He was, of course, not invited, for the same reason that he has missed so many family events. Thomas has not handled fame well — he speaks to the press and when he does so, he speaks impulsively. Even so, Thomas concludes by stating that he is “wishing Archie and his parents’ health and happiness.” Stunning photographs from the christening were shared on social media. “This morning, The Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s son, Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor was christened,” the caption began. The caption detailed: “in the Private Chapel at Windsor Castle at an intimate service officiated by the Archbishop of Canterbury, Justin Welby.” “The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are so happy to share the joy of this day with members of the public,” the caption praised. The caption noted: “who have been incredibly supportive since the birth of their son.” “They thank you for your kindness,” the post expressed. “In welcoming their first born and celebrating this special moment.” “Their Royal Highnesses feel fortunate to have enjoyed this day with family and the godparents of Archie,” the caption continued. “Their son, Archie, was baptised wearing the handmade replica of the royal christening gown,” the post revealed. This was a particular gown “which has been worn by royal infants for the last 11 years.” “The original Royal Christening Robe, made of fine Honiton lace lined with white satin, was commissioned by Queen Victoria in 1841,” the caption added. “And,” the post continued, that gown was “first worn by her eldest daughter.” “It was subsequently worn for generations of Royal christenings, including The Queen, her children and her grandchildren,” the caption explains. This went on “until 2004, when The Queen commissioned this handmade replica.” The post concludes by explaining that the Queen did this “in order for the fragile historic outfit to be preserved, and for the tradition to continue.” Thomas would have enjoyed attending the ceremony, and we don’t doubt that, under other circumstances, he would have been welcome. But he has spent too long blabbing to any tabloid that will take the time to listen to him. His words are of interest, so the tabloids are not to blame for publishing his interviews. It is Thomas’ responsibility to keep quiet and prove that he can be trusted. Since he refuses to do that, Meghan has had no choice but to cut off contact. It’s a real shame. Stevie Wonder needs a new kidney. But his fans can breathe a sigh of release because he also already has a donor and is getting a transplant. The Songs In The Key of Life singer made the announcement during a recent show in London. Reports Page Six : An adoring crowd cheered when the performer said he has already found a donor, according to a video from the concert that was posted to Twitter by BBC reporter Aleem Maqbool. Wonder said he would do three more shows, and then take time off from performing. “So what’s gonna happen is this: I’m going to have surgery. I’m going to have a kidney transplant in September of this year,” Wonder told fans. “You ain’t got to hear no rumors about nothing; I told you what’s up — I’m good,” he said. “I’m all good; I’m all good. I have a donor; it’s all good,” he reassured fans, to more cheers. “I want you to know I came here to give you my love and to thank you for your love,” added the 69-year-old Motown R&B legend, who has been performing since age 11. Meghan King Edmonds has penned a blog entry in which she opens up about something personal and painful. Titled “My Hart,” this post by the former Real Housewives of Orange County star delves in the state of Hart, one of her twin boys, who was born along with brother Hayes in June of 2018. “From the minute he was born I knew something was different with Hart,” wrote the long-time Bravo personality over this past weekend, adding: “The nurses struggled to straighten his legs to measure his length. He suckled hard, shallow, and often until I bled and he spit up black.” Edmonds, who was recently in the news because her husband has been accused of having an affair while she was pregnant with these boys, went on to write that she took Hart to see a pediatric ophthalmologist for a couple of reasons: He couldn’t see his hands, for example, and his eyes remained crossed for too long. The reality star says she was told nothing was the matter with Hart, but she refused to accept this as an answer. “I just knew,” Meghan continues. “I told our pediatrician – she said he was fine. I begged for a neurologist referral and when I got it – he said he was fine. I then begged for a neurologist who specializes in Cerebral Palsy (I jumped through hoops to get this appointment, so many hoops) and she said he might be fine. “I then begged for an MRI.” Via “an elective MRI with anesthesia,” as Edmonds describes it, a diagnosis was finally made. “I sat at a table with my husband for an hour as we waited for Hart to come out of the MRI. Tears gushed from my eyes as I blankly stared at the cars on the highway – but I wasn’t crying,” she recalled in this blog post. “My husband asked me what he could do. ‘Get me a Coke.’ Those tears were for a lot of things, but mostly the unknown and mostly Hart.” Three days after the exam, the toddler’s neurologist called. He relayed the awful news. “Hart has minor Periventricular Leukomalacia on both sides of his brain (namely the white matter), but more so on his right,” Edmonds revealed, explaining in further detail: “She said that this explains all of my concerns: the rigidity in his muscles, the (somewhat) delayed physical milestones, the lack of fluidity with arm and leg movements, the stiffness in joints, the weakness in his lower back, the somewhat favored use of his right side. “She told me this mainly occurs in premies and since he was not a premie (he was born at 37 weeks gestation) she believes this damage somehow occurred ‘a couple months before he was born.’ “She explained that he is at risk for being diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy and will be monitored.” Edmonds previously opened up about her reaction to her husband’s misdeeds . But this admission is even more raw and unimaginable. “Hart has irreversible brain damage, it’s called PVL,” Meghan says. “Like I said, I already knew.” Referencing her husband and his reaction, along with how she chose to view the situation, Edmonds adds: “That night Jimmy and I went out to dinner for the first time in weeks. “I explained to Jimmy how we are not somehow compromised or punished for having a child with special needs (whatever that may or may not mean!), we are BLESSED. I will go on about this another time but just know that I do not see his diagnosis as anything but a gift: we were chosen to take on this special person. “I truly feel as if we’ve doubled down and won the underdog hand. Truly.” And Edmonds is stillt trying tomake the best out of the situation. She’s still trying to remain as positive as possible. “I pray for a miracle and I grapple with how to navigate his life,” she wrote. “This is a heavy challenge as a mother: where do we go from here? This is where: one foot in front of the other.” We applaud Edmonds for her candid post and we send her and her loved ones the very best during this difficult journey.
A tlanta-bred rapper T.I. has been a fierce advocate for criminal justice reform and he is taking his involvement in the movement to another level. According to WSB-TV , T.I.—whose real name is Clifford Harris —has joined Atlanta’s city jail task force to change the way the Atlanta City Detention Center is utilized. A newly formed task force charged with finding a new use for Atlanta’s city jail includes criminal justice reform volunteers, activists, council members and… @Tip https://t.co/KEwUAV0UTS — AJC (@ajc) July 3, 2019 The task force—which is being spearheaded by Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms —is comprised of 25 elected officials, activists, and thought-leaders within the criminal justice reform space. They will gather to determine the best way to use the Atlanta City Detention Center where individuals are currently being held for minor offenses. According to a statement released by the task force, Mayor Bottoms wants to transform the facility into a space that can be used for wellness, the reduction of recidivism, and a support center for individuals who are impacted by mass incarceration. “There is a much better use for this facility,” said Mayor Bottoms as she signed legislation to have the jail closed in May. “My dream for this jail, for this physical facility, is that it becomes a center of equity. I see this as a place that we will have access to childcare, GED training, vocational training, also perhaps some type of housing in this place, workspace.” She believes that reimagining the jail will be an impactful step towards getting ahead of crime in the city. Facilities like the one being proposed by the mayor and the task force are needed. According to Patch , Georgia is the No. 1 state in the country when it comes to the number of people who are under supervision. This includes individuals who are in prison or jail or who are on parole or probation. Harris has been dedicated to bettering Atlanta. In April the rapper—who was awarded by the Georgia Senate for his philanthropic efforts—teamed up with the New Birth Missionary Baptist Church to bail out nonviolent offenders so they could be reunited with their families for Easter.
