Reebok might have learned the hard way about hiring majority aryan-esque folks to their team after Beyonce reportedly threw them deuces recently. News of Beyonce relaunching her Ivy Park brand, creating a signature shoe (YES a Beyonce shoe!) and doing other cool projects with Adidas recently broke. CNBC Sports producer Jess Golden called the partnership “multilayered”. Just In: Adidas and Beyoncé have announced a multi-layered partnership today. Beyoncé will be a creative partner for the brand, develop new signature footwear and apparel, as well as re-launch her Ivy Park brand with adidas. — Jess Golden (@JGolden5) April 4, 2019 Beyonce confirmed the deal in a statement: “This is the partnership of a lifetime for me. Adidas has had tremendous success in pushing creative boundaries. We share a philosophy that puts creativity, growth and social responsibility at the forefront of business. I look forward to re-launching and expanding Ivy Park on a truly global scale with a proven, dynamic leader” An as interesting twist to this story is that Adidas was not the first mega-brand to get dibbs on Bey-Bey’s creations. Reebok was in talks with Beyonce first and FUMBLED. How’d they do THAT???? They don’t hire enough black folks! ESPN Writer Nick Depaula just revealed in a segment on “The Jump” that Beyonce was turned off by Reebok’s lack of Black people on staff. Reportedly, after Reebok created an elaborate presentation to impress Bey, she took a look around the room and asked: “Is this the team that would be working on my product?” When Bey’s question was answered with a “yes”, Beyonce replied, “Nobody in this room reflect my background, my skin color, where I’m from and what I want to do.” Hit play to hear it. An absolutely hilarious clip resurfaced and went viral recently, and it comes from a 2006 episode of her talk show when she had on Pillsbury Bake-Off prize recipient Anna Ginsberg . Anna won $1 million for her chicken recipe, so of course, Oprah had to taste it to see what the hype was all about–but unfortunately for the chef….she wasn’t really feeling it. After a long pause, Oprah says, “I do like it…I like it very much. I think, did we add salt and pepper? I think we needed salt and pepper.” When Ginsberg revealed that the recipe doesn’t include either of those ingredients, the audience erupts with laughter. And just when the internet thought this awkward moment couldn’t get any better, Oprah came through to respond to this now-viral clip, revealing how she really felt once she tasted Anna’s $1 million dollar dish. In a video posted to The Oprah Magazine’s Instagram, the woman herself decided to let us all know what was going through her head while trying to craft a response to what she was tasting back in 2006. She starts by responding to Spencer, the one who initially tweeted out the clip saying, “Okay, Spencer, I don’t know whatever made you pull that tape out of the vault, but, made me laugh.” Oprah continued saying, “I always wanted anybody who came on the show, no matter what they did, to have a good experience. And I also wanted to stay in my own truth while allowing them to have that good experience. I was having a moment of trying to decide, Do I want her to have a great time? What is my real moment of truth? Because the truth for me was that I am used to having salt and pepper on my chicken. That’s just the truth. That’s what I was thinking: this chicken needs some salt and pepper.” Well, you heard Oprah! Speak your truth, even if it’s going to embarrass somebody on national TV.

With just one simple phrase–“Hey Siri, I’m getting pulled over”–drivers are able to get an added sense of security for the next time they’re pulled over. With a new app called Shortcuts, iPhone users have the ability to create their own verbal commands that trigger their phones to perform a wide variety of actions–which is all accessible without having to press a button or touch the screen at all. Because of this new feature, Redditor Robert Petersen out of Arizona has created and publicly released the add-on, “Police.” With one quick phrase, your phone will now be discreetly directed to turn down distractions, send an alert to an emergency contact, and start recording whenever you’re pulled over by police. “I have noticed in reading news articles and seeing reports on TV that in many cases you end up with police saying one thing happened and the citizen being pulled over saying another,” Petersen explained to USA TODAY . “And how do you determine truth? Sometimes the police have body cams, sometimes not, and even when they do it’s not always released in a timely manner.” Peterson explained what happens with the launch of his Police shortcut on a Reddit post. First, the Police shortcut will reduce distractions. This means turning off your music, turning down the screen brightness, and turning on Do Not Disturb mode so you will not get any notifications. “When dealing with being pulled over and interacting with law enforcement, you want as little distraction as possible, and that includes music, bright screens and notifications coming in,” Petersen. “You want to be focused on the encounter at hand and don’t want any unnecessary distraction to yourself or to law enforcement personnel.” Next, the shortcut sends a message to a contact of your choice, which will include a pre-written message, letting them know you got pulled over, and your current location. Then, it opens your front camera–and all you have to do is press “Record.” This shortcut is designed to give drivers an extra sense of security when being pulled over–will you be adding it to your phone shortcuts?
