Charlotte Rampling Takes Back Racist To Whites Oscar Comments We reported that decrepit Oscar nominee Charlotte Rampling was not here for the #OscarSoWhite outrage. The elderly actress recently blasted the controversy over claims of lack of diversity in Hollywood as a racist plot against white folks. What?! According to The Guardian the actress says that the controversy is discriminatory against Caucasians. Asked for her take on the current furore over all-white lists of nominees on French Radio network Europe 1 on Friday morning, the British actor did not mince her words. “It is racist to whites,” she said. “One can never really know, but perhaps the black actors did not deserve to make the final list,” added Rampling. Asked if the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences should introduce quotas, a proposal which no current advocate of increased diversity has mooted, she responded: “Why classify people? These days everyone is more or less accepted … People will always say: ‘Him, he’s less handsome’; ‘Him, he’s too black’; ‘He is too white’ … someone will always be saying ‘You are too’ [this or that] … But do we have to take from this that there should be lots of minorities everywhere?” Now Charlotte wants to backtrack after getting dragged to hell for her comments. The ain’t isht actress made this statement to CBS News : “I regret that my comments could have been misinterpreted this week in my interview with Europe 1 Radio,” said Rampling, who is nominated for a Best Acting award for the film “45 Years.” “I simply meant to say that in an ideal world every performance will be given equal opportunities for consideration. I am very honored to be included in this year’s wonderful group of nominated actors and actresses.” “Diversity in our industry is an important issue that needs to be addressed,” she continued. “I am highly encouraged by the changes announced today by the Academy to diversify its membership.” Girl, bye! Raven-Symone is in hot water today for comments she made on After the View . The former actress – who has never met an opinion she did not share – addressed the controversy surrounding a Spring Valley High School student who was violently arrested this week and said the following: “The girl was told multiple times to get off the phone. “There’s not right or reason, for him to be doing this type of harm. That’s ridiculous. But at the same time, you gotta follow the rules in school. First of all, why are there cell phones in school? “This shouldn’t even be a problem to begin with, and he shouldn’t have been acting like that on top of it.” Why is Raven-Symone receiving backlash for these comments? Just watch the video of the incident in question and it should be easy to understand: Officer Violently Arrests Student in Classroom, Celebrities React Perhaps the student should not have been on her phone. And perhaps the school ought to change its cell phone policy in general. But these are separate points. The young woman could have broken a rule and still not have deserved THAT. Because THAT was utterly insane and ridiculous and uncalled for. Spring Valley High School resource officer Ben Fields slammed an African-American student on the ground and dragged her across the room. Not because his life was in danger or because the student was exhibiting any sort of physical threat toward anyone. But because she was on her phone?!? Come on, Raven-Symone. You’re smarter than this.

A woman wrote to me tonight and said she couldn’t support my book because of the words of my daughter. What she fails to realize is that my book is about teaching your child to believe and achieve. Raven has achieved incredible success, and this cannot be denied! Children grow up and become influenced by many things, situations and people. I certainly don’t agree with what she said….but she is damn near thirty years old. She’s a grown a** woman making grown a** mistakes. We all have been guilty of this. But they won't be seeing much of the actor on social media for a bit, not after Amell stuck his attractive foot in his handsome mouth this week. In response to the Ahmen Mohamed scandal this week, in which a 14-year old was detained by police in Texas because teachers mistook a homemade clock for a bomb, Amell Tweeted the following: “Stereotyping Texas isn’t any better than stereotyping Ahmed. Just so we’re clear.” The message prompted some major backlash from those who believed Amell missed the point of this controversy, to which initially defended himself with a few follow-up Tweets: I can't believe I broke my rule and tweeted about an actual event. Staggering to remember that debates in 140 characters don't work. What happened to Ahmed was terrible. Obviously. I happened to read a series of tweets pronouncing that this is a systemic problem in Texas, which is also profiling. It's profiling in a much less hurtful / destructive way… but it is profiling. Amell also wished Amell luck on his upcoming visit to the White House , but he then felt the need to post a video on Facebook. “Wasn’t trying to equate things that are very, very different, was simply trying to say that two wrongs don’t make a right,” Amell says in the video. “The best thing to do in these scenarios is just go away for a little bit. So be well. I’ll be back. And that’s it.”

Earlier this week, Bobbi Kristina Brown passed away , six months after she was found unconscious in the bathtub of her Atlanta-area home. Bobbi Kristina’s funeral has been scheduled for Monday, but it seems that even though she’s finally at rest, the controversy surrounding the troubled 22-year-old is far from over. Earlier today, we reported that Nick Gordon is begging Bobby Brown to allow him to attend the funeral . Now, it seems other people in Bobbi Kristina’s life are threatening to skip the ceremony due to bizarre arrangements being made by Whitney Houston’s sister-in-law, Pat Houston. Radar Online is reporting that Pat is planning a “sweet 16-themed” funeral , and several friends and family members have already expressed their disapproval of the idea. Sources say famed singer and family friend Dionne Warwick has been the most vocal critic, even going so far as to tell Pat that she refuses to attend a funeral with such a macabre theme. “Dionne is planning a trip and threatening to not attend the funeral,” says one insider. “Pat Houston is taking over even though she should be making decisions with Bobby, and not doing it on her own.” Warwick has reportedly slammed the idea as “stupid and disrespectful to Bobbi Kristina,” but sources say Pat is insisting on the theme due to a conversation she once had with Krissi, in which the deceased daughter of Whitney expressed her regret over never having a traditional sweet 16 party. According to the DJ, Quentin Miller was getting paid $5000 a month from the Drake’s OVO Sound label, and it was someone from the October’s Very Own collective who sent Flex the full reference track that’s similar to the final version.
