This week on Manzo’d With Children Season 1 Episode 4 , Albie and Lauren had a falling out, with Caroline giving them 24 hours to make peace. Lauren and Albie have always been close, but they’re at odds here, with her saying he always plays the victim, calling him “dramatic” and “pathetic.” “I don’t think Brittany’s the right girl for him,” she says of his new girl, which sort of triggered this rift the previous week in the Garden State family. Albie told Lauren, apparently, that she’s a toxic person he doesn’t want her in his life anymore, and that he’s going to date whomever is right for him. His mom tells him to go apologize to Lauren, regardless. Lauren thinks no one sees her side and how this is affecting her, and that the family is always taking Albie’s side. Mom wants to throw them both out. If you watch Manzo’d With Children online and saw the Brittany situation unfold, you know she might not be the best fit with this close-knit group. Still, Albie feels trapped by others’ expectations, and it appears Manzo’d With Children Season 1 Episode 4 is the culmination of a lifetime of this. His family has been hard on Brittany, he says, by judging her solely on her appearance, though he admits having the same concerns about Brittany. Christopher, meanwhile, helps Caroline with her sauce as she muses about how he makes her happier and she just needs his presence to keep her sane. Later, Caroline talks to Al about the incident between Caroline and Albie, and Al is a little bit more sympathetic toward his son’s plight than she. “My point to you is this: it ends here,” Caroline says, while Al adds they did a great raising the kids, and that they have what it takes to rise above this. Finally, they make up, as Lauren says she’s just being honest and wants to be able to say whatever she wants to her family members with no consequences. He says he doesn’t want anyone controlling his life, and that he doesn’t really want Lauren out of the picture, but just wants to be able to live comfortably. See? Was that so hard?

Amanda Bynes could spend another year in treatment under an involuntary psychiatric hold at in L.A. after a judge extended the order keeping her there. A judge granted a ” long-term hold ” to her doctors, which could last for up to 12 months as she battles the severe mental illness that landed her in treatment. She has been in treatment since setting a stranger’s driveway on fire in July, the culmination of a year of bizarre behavior that had everyone worried. Her mom, Lynn, still has temporary conservatorship over her legal, medical and financial affairs as Amanda Bynes remains under hospital care. It’s possible the former child star, 27, will not be held for a full year. At the end of 60 or 90 days, she could move to her mom’s home if progress is made. Meanwhile, Bynes’ family is speaking out against a claim made by publicist Jonathan Jaxson, who is said to have falsely claimed to represent Amanda. The Bynes’ attorney Tamar Armanak told E! News: “Jonathan Jaxson does not represent the Bynes family or Amanda.” This after Jaxson said the following : “Despite some reports, Amanda is improving daily and responding well. There is still a long road ahead, and that doesn’t mean being confined to a locked-down treatment center.” “Amanda is in the best hands presently, medically, and each day her condition is being monitored. There is not a set release date.” “But, with the great track she is on presently, she will be out of a lockdown facility and continuing to recover elsewhere in the near future.” “Her parents love her dearly and still are hoping to continue conservatorship after September 30.” “Mental illness is a serious problem in America, and while many go untreated, Amanda is responding and cooperating with doctors and staff quite well.” While that sounds like a positive statement, Jaxson is full of it (he once also claimed to rep Kim Kardashian ), so we don’t put any stock in anything he says. We do hope Amanda gets the care she needs and recovers fully, however.

She still wants her fans to shake their fannies while she sings about the ups and downs of love. This time around, however, she got some help from this millennium’s biggest pop princess, Lady Gaga — along with frequent Gaga collaborator/producer RedOne — for the just-released Love? album. “I think RedOne’s sound is very specific, but he also can be very individual for each artist that he works with, which I like, but there’s still kind of a commonality in it,” J.Lo said. “But it’s him. He makes a record sound so big and important … When he would play me different tracks and even the beginnings of ideas and when he told me, ‘Actually I worked with Gaga on this,’ and I was like, ‘Really? That’s awesome. Is it OK?’ and he [was] like, ‘Yeah, yeah.’ You know, they write and produce together a lot. So, it was exciting. I kind of just lucked out on that one.” But, there is a lot more to the album than the few tracks featuring Gaga’s golden touch. Love? also is a complete work of art that in a way, Lopez says, she’s been working on for most of her life. “I’ve been making this album maybe for a couple years now,” she said. “It’s been quite a process, but I’ve been saying lately that I’ve been actually making this record since I was 13 years old — the first time I fell in love — because it’s true, all the thoughts and all the things that went into this album were questions and things that I’ve had over the years … Love is a very complex topic and I’ve been singing about it since my first album, and this was kind of the culmination of that.” Sure, J.Lo is not the same girl she was back then, and she knows that. “I wanted to pose some questions and get the dialogue going about love,” she added. “I wanted to make a great dance, rhythmic album, as well … and we did that. For a singer who’s already accomplished so much in 22 short years, you’d think that filming “Unplugged” would be just another stop along her road to success. But you’d be wrong. To hear Adele tell it, “Unplugged” is the culmination of a dream that started nearly a decade ago. “My favorite one is the Lauryn Hill one; I’ve got that one on CD as well,” she told MTV News. “I’ve never been so choked up by something, and it was so refreshing — I mean, I was still very young when she did her ‘Unplugged,’ and when Miseducation … came out, I was really young, but that is the most influential record of my life. It’s my favorite record of all time. But I never knew anything about her, she was so elusive … but just to see her [on ‘Unplugged’], and that broken look, just her and a guitar, her banter between the songs — I felt like how I feel when I hear Etta James. I was just like, ‘I totally get it. She’s in my head, she’s in my heart, she knows me.’ “It’s quite a special moment when you suddenly have that link and bond with an artist, and I finally got that with her, when I heard that,” she continued. “So yeah, it was a complete joy [to do my own episode].” Bits and pieces of Adele’s “Unplugged” set — including a soulful take on Aretha Franklin’s “(You Make Me Feel Like a) Natural Woman” — have already been rolling out on the VH1 blog , and the full performance includes songs from both her 19 and 21 albums.
