The sunny Hamptons International Film Festival played host to veteran stars and up-and-comers alike over the weekend, from Matthew Broderick and Alec Baldwin (who shared an eventful onstage chat at the fest) to Susan Sarandon, Alexander Skarsgard , and youngsters Emily Browning , Anton Yelchin , and former Verge designee Ezra Miller . Hit the jump for Movieline’s red carpet gallery from the fest.
Big ups to The Artist , the Oscar-contending silent-film throwback that took home the Audience Award at this weekend’s Hamptons International Film Festival. Michel Hazanavicius’s film led a class that also included the superb documentarian Marc Levin and breakout stars Emily Browning , Anton Yelchin and Alexander Skarsgård . The Toronto International Film Festival continues, and the frozen North is getting hot, hot hot with a deluge of nudity from old favorites and up-and-coming nude stars alike. Our Skin Skouts saw movies starring Gina Gershon , Juno Temple , Asia Argento , Carice van Houten , and Emily Browning , and we’re slappy to say the nudity reports are all positive. Add a lesbian liplock from Olivia Wilde into the mix, and it looks like we’re headed for an awesome nude autumn. More breaking nudes from Toronto after the jump!
Great news (and nudes), skin fans! We’ve been reporting on Sleeping Beauty and Melancholia since both films debuted at Cannes in May, but we haven’t been able to provide any details- until now! Sleeping Beauty doesn’t have an American release date scheduled yet, though it is currently playing in Russia (we know, it’s weird) and hits UK theaters October 14. But screener copies have been sent out, and while we can’t show you the goods (yet), we’re beyond excited to report that Emily Browning DOES make her nude debut in this picture, and what a nude debut it is! Emily strips completely nude for multiple scenes of nude snoozing, baring her sleeping boobies, creamy white seat meat, and little red mustache (yes, the carpet matches the drapes)! (Pictures from Sleeping Beauty have now made their way online-get a sneak peek of the uncensored nudes at Egotastic ! ) More after the jump!

Now that nearly every action or comic-book movie wants to be as big, loud and spectacular as a Michael Bay movie, there’s something refreshingly straightforward — homespun, even — about an actual Michael Bay movie like Transformers: Dark of the Moon . The picture wears its ambitions on its whirring, rumbling, clanking, heavily CGI’ ed sleeve, and it pretends to be nothing more than it is: a honking, 40-karat piece of entertainment that will cost you dearly if you take your family to see it in the theaters, especially when you factor in that 3-D surcharge. Yet Dark of the Moon , the third installment in the unkillable Transformers franchise, shouldn’t be seen any other way. Bay doesn’t care about your soul, he just wants your money — but he at least makes sure you go home feeling exhausted and spent rather than vaguely dissatisfied. It’s a fair exchange.
What with the thousands of Snow White films due out in the next two years, you can’t blame us for assuming Emily Browning’s Sleeping Beauty was a modern take on the old classic.
