A Huntsville, AL man is recovering from a hospital stay after being severely electrocuted by the exposed prongs of his iPhone’s charger. According to Washington Post , 32-year-old Wiley Day fell asleep with his iPhone charging overnight via an extension cord in the bed next to him. The next morning, Wiley rolled over as we woke up. However, the prongs of his phone charger had come out of the extension outlet sometime in the night. As he rolled over, a dog-tag necklace that he had worn to bed made contact with the exposed prongs of the charger head, causing the the metal chain to conduct the electricity straight to his neck. Producers of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills want Kyle Richards best friend, Faye Resnick, to join the cast next year, a new report indicates. Resnick, best known for her involvement in the O.J. Simpson murder trial and a recurring player in the past on the Bravo hit, is high on the producers’ list. Why? Joyce Giraud and Carlton Gebbia are on the chopping block because they don’t bring the drama. Faye Resnick would not have that problem. Apollo Nida is nearing plea deal with the government just two months after his arrest for identity theft, bank fraud, and conspiracy charges, reports indicate. Will that be enough to keep The Real Housewives of Atlanta star out of jail? As is the case with fellow Bravo star Teresa Giudice, all of this remains unclear. Nida, Phaedra Parks’ husband and the guy Kenya Moore wants to bone ( watch The Real Housewives of Atlanta online for more on that), was arrested in January. On February 14, the court set a pre-trial date of March 25. Since that time, his attorneys “and counsel for the government have been engaged in discussions,” newly filed court documents obtained by Radar reveal. “They are still in the process of investigating additional facts and negotiating a resolution,” and “have made substantial progress toward a resolution.” Does that mean he’ll cop a plea and avoid the slammer? It’s not yet known, but the court agreed to yet another extension, up until April 25, in the hopes that Apollo Nida will be able to come to a deal with the government. A judge has granted a two-week extension of Amanda Bynes’ psychiatric hold, while her parents will try to seek a legal conservatorship over her today. If the judge, who held a hearing at the hospital where she’s staying, declined to extend the 72-hour hold, Amanda could’ve walked out last night. He did not, however, after doctors successfully argued that they need an additional two weeks to properly diagnose Amanda Bynes’ severe mental illness . Amanda was represented by her own lawyer, arguing for the extension to be denied. She will most likely fight any bid for a conservatorship, as well. In seeking legal control over their 27-year-old daughter, Bynes’ parents will argue that she suffers from schizophrenia but will not seek treatment . This is because in her mind, she doesn’t believe she has an illness, therefore the only way to keep her safe is to provide round-the-clock care. Due to the circumstances surrounding her hospitalization and 5150 hold , it’s not a stretch to say she’s in danger and could harm herself or others. Establishing a conservatorship is challenging, however. In order to gain control over her medical, legal and financial affairs, her parents must prove: That Amanda Bynes does not have the ability to provide for her own health on even the most basic levels – food, clothing and shelter. She cannot make sound financial decisions. They can provide a stable home for her. There are no realistic alternatives. We’ll know in a few hours if they’re successful, but given that she set a random driveway on fire and soaked her dog in gasoline , this might be the best option. Whatever happens, there is hope. Britney Spears was in a similar position 5-6 years ago and this same arrangement brought her back from the brink.
