Following a record-breaking opening weekend at the box office, how much did The Hunger Games rake in this Friday and Saturday? $61.1 million, enough to easily top all other films once again. A few facts about this impressive figure and where it helps The Hunger Games rank among the all-time best in Hollywood… This weekend’s gross marks a 60 percent drop from the prior weekend, which is on par with other blockbusters: Iron Man 2 dropped 59 percent; and Spider-Man 3 fell 62 percent; and The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1 decreased by 70 percent. The Hunger Games has now earned $251 million in 10 days, making it the fastest-ever non-sequel to achieve this milestone. ‘Every song Heavy D ever put out was something to uplift us,’ former labelmate tells MTV News about her fallen friend. By Rob Markman, with reporting by Vanessa Whitewolf Mary J. Blige Photo: MTV News Mary J. Bilge famously sang “Not Gon’ Cry” on her 1996 single, but when the topic of her fallen friend and former Uptown Records labelmate Heavy D came up, the emotion was just too much to hold back. ” Heavy D was so beloved because the impact he made on music was that we could have fun: We can do hip-hop without murdering and killing everybody,” a tearful MJB told MTV News on Tuesday in Beverly Hills. “And he just brought so much light.” Mary, like Heavy, hailed from the outskirts of New York City — him from Mount Vernon, her from Yonkers. It was 1987 when Heavy D & the Boyz released their first album, Living Large, on Uptown Records. Mary was signed years later, and in 1992, dropped her debut album, What’s the 411? — but her earliest memories of Heavy pre-date her days in the music industry. “I just remember being a child and him coming to King school, where they used to have all the performers come, and they came and did ‘The Overweight Lover,’ ” Mary recalled with tears in her eyes. “We always needed something to uplift us, and he brought us so much joy because we were always in a place where we didn’t have enough, we couldn’t get enough money, but the King school show was free, and every song Heavy D ever put out was something to uplift us.” The exact cause of Heavy D’s death November 8 is still unclear, as initial autopsy results came up inconclusive. He was taken to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Beverly Hills after a 911 call was placed from his home. Heavy had difficulty breathing and was pronounced dead after he reached the hospital. There will be a public viewing for the fallen rapper Thursday (November 17) at Grace Baptist Church in Mount Vernon, New York, and a private funeral service for family and close friends Friday. BET is planning a special tribute to Heavy D during the Soul Train Awards . Rappers Big Daddy Kane, Doug E. Fresh, Kurtis Blow, Naughty by Nature, Whodini and Stetsasonic’s Daddy-O are all expected to take part. Share your fondest memory of Heavy D in the comments. Brian Austin Green is married to Megan Fox and gets to wake up to THIS every morning. He also gets to take full advantage of THIS . But the actor is still in a bad mood these days, sources tell OK! Weekly , because Shia LaBeouf opened his mouth and said it was once all over Fox’s body . “They went through an incredibly rocky period when she and Shia were filming Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen ,” an insider tells the tabloid. “Having Shia run his mouth now and brag about sleeping with Megan is awful for them.” Technically, Fox and Green were on a break at the time, but we’ve all seen Friends . We’ve all been there ourselves. That grey area doesn’t exactly make it easier to imagine a huge Hollywood star giving it to your wife. We feel for you, Brian. But only to a certain extent. You are still married to Megan Fox, after all. [Photo: WENN.com]

Transformers: Dark of the Moon opened to a solid $13.5 million from its late Tuesday /early Wednesday screenings, including $5.5 million from the 3-D-only presentations leading the way Tuesday night. The figures exceed the early grosses from the series’ 2007 original but fall short of the $16 million that Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen pulled down at midnight in 2009. Paramount currently anticipates a six-day holiday weekend tally above $160 million; drop back by Movieline tomorrow for our own Weekend Forecast predictions, which will be significantly higher.
