Officers Will Not Be Charged For Alton Sterling’s Death Though this news isn’t at all surprising, it’s definitely disappointing. The two white police officers who shot and killed Alton Sterling outside a Baton Rouge convenience store will not be charged in connection with his death. The Department of Justice ruled that Officers Blane Salamoni and Howie Lake will not face any federal charges for shooting Sterling dead while he was unarmed and subdued on the ground . According to the New York Post , Justice Department officials were planning to announce the findings on an ongoing investigation they had been conducting on the incident within the next 24 hours, but sources leaked the information that they would not be bringing any charges against the officers before they got a chance to let that information out to the public. Darren Sharper’s Final Sentencing For Serial Rape Held In L.A. Today Although he’ll never admit it , Bill Cosby is probably looking at Darren Sharper thinking “Damn, I dodged a bullet. That should be me.” As we’ve reported, the former Saints/Packers/Vikings baller is headed to prison for the serial rape and drugging of multiple women across several different states. After accepting a multi-state negotiated plea deal for 18 years, he is now going through the formalities of pleading guilty and being sentenced in each state according to ABCNews . Today marks his final sentencing in Los Angeles, then its off to the bing. From the Los Angeles courtroom, Sharper appeared by video-conferencing in a Phoenix courtroom and pleaded guilty to sexually assaulting one woman and trying to attack another in suburban Phoenix in 2013. An hour later, he pleaded no contest to drugging and raping two women he picked up at a West Hollywood bar on two occasions in late 2013 and early 2014. The next day, he pleaded guilty via video to a reduced felony attempted sex assault charge for a Las Vegas case. He later pleaded guilty in Louisiana to federal charges of drugging women so he could rape them and state charges to three counts of rape. The world is a safer place with Darren Sharper behind bars. Goons are goons. NBC: They were gone in 120 seconds — and nabbed in less than 48 hours. At least three of the 10 thieves whose spectacular smash-and-grab robbery of a Houston gun store was caught on surveillance footage were in police custody and facing federal charges, NBC affiliate KRPC reported Thursday. Some of the 50 weapons stolen by the brazen bandits were also recovered, the station reported. Police have not identified the suspects and are offering a reward of up to $5,000 for information that would lead to the arrest of their alleged accomplices. The heist at Carter’s Country Guns & Ammo was pulled off at 4:30 a.m. Tuesday with a brutal simplicity. The footage showed the thieves backing-up a black Ford F-250 pickup truck to the store and stretching a chain to the glass and iron security door. Then a robber, dressed in jogging pants, smashed the glass with what looked like a hammer and secured the chain. The truck — burning rubber — then yanked it off its hinges. Seconds later, the thieves swarmed inside and ransacked the store, smashing display cases and pocketing pistols. They also picked an entire wall of rifles clean. In recent months, there have reportedly been other smash-and-grab robberies of gun stores in Houston by thieves who supply them to street gangs.

Scarface Released From Jail

Houston rapper spent 10 months behind bars for failure to pay child support. By Rob Markman Scarface (file) Photo: Stephen Lovekin/ Getty Images After 10 months behind bars for failure to pay child support, Scarface was recently released from Harris County Jail in Texas and is now prepping an album for the end of the year, a rep for the Houston rapper confirmed to MTV News. The Geto Boys rapper (born Brad Jordan) was jailed October 13, and it was reported by XXLMag.com that ‘Face owed more than $123,000 in child support on four separate cases. Bonds were reportedly set in each case with separate amounts: one for $93,376, another for $50,000, a third bond for $30,000 and the fourth and final one for $500, bringing the grand total to $123,372. It was also reported that the “I Seen a Man Die” MC was being held on unspecified federal charges, but MTV News has not been able to confirm that information. Scarface made his mark as the leader of the Geto Boys, the Texas group that broke out with the 1991 single “Mind Playing Tricks on Me.” Soon after, ‘Face embarked on a solo career and dropped his own debut, 1993’s Mr. Scarface Is Back. In the years that followed, he continued to release well-regarded albums, including 1994’s Diary and 1997’s Untouchable, which featured his Tupac-assisted single “Smile.” In 2008, Scarface released what he called his final album, Emeritus. A Chicago-area man accused of taking nude videos of ESPN reporter Erin Andrews in a hotel room and then putting them on the Internet was arrested at Chicago’s O’Hare airport Friday night, the FBI said in a statement Saturday. Michael David Barrett, 48, has been slapped with federal charges of interstate stalking for taking the videos,
