Shook Ones: Charleston Shooter’s Parents Claim Black Panthers And Nation Of Islam Are Threatening Them

South Carolina Shooter’s Parents Say Black Panthers Are Threatening Them Awwww, poor things …SMH Via NYDailyNews The father of Dylann Roof is afraid for his life and telling cops he is the victim of unending threatening phone calls in the wake of his son’s arrest for the execution of nine black churchgoers. Franklin Roof called cops to his Columbia, S.C., home at noon Friday, according to police records. “The victim states that individuals claiming to be with the Black Panther Party have called several times and left messages stating, ‘I’m coming to see you real soon, buddy boy,’” records say. “The victim states that another individual claiming to be from the Nation of Islam called and stated that they wanted to interview him and make sure his whole family was there. The victim states he believes that these phone calls are implied threats.” On Friday, the same day Franklin Roof told cops he was being threatened, he released a statement to the media expressing “shock, grief and disbelief” over his son’s arrest for the Wednesday massacre at a bible study group at the Emanuel AME Church in Charleston. Save the “shock, grief and disbelief”, you d-bags bought him the cotdamn gun in the first place. Image via YouTube

Sarah Palin Announces She Will NOT Run For President

It was almost a foregone conclusion, but former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin has announced, officially, that she will not enter the 2012 presidential race. Palin’s announcement comes one day after New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie affirmed his decision not to jump in despite Republican leaders urging him to. No leaders really wanted Palin to, but she’s like a celebrity now, so the media still pays attention to her. Here’s what she told supporters in a letter: “I believe I can be more effective in a decisive role to help elect other true public servants to office – from the nation’s governors to congressional seats and the presidency.” “I will continue driving the discussion for freedom and free markets, including in the race for president where candidates must embrace immediate action toward energy independence through domestic development of conventional energy sources, along with renewables.” “We must reduce tax burdens and onerous regulations that kill American industry, and our candidates must always push to minimize government to strengthen and allow the private sector to create jobs.” “I apologize to those who are disappointed in this decision.” Anyone? Hello? Palin told Fox News she chose to send a letter over holding a press conference because she wanted to “put the marker down and say ‘no I’m not running.'” Republicans have been searching for an alternative to the polished, but less than inspiring former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney for the entire year. Many have been disappointed by Texas Gov. Rick Perry and have given a second look to Georgia businessman Herman Cain , who is surging in polls. In any case, the field is set now. Romney and Perry remain likely frontrunners, but at this stage of the game you can’t rule out Cain or perhaps others. Should Sarah Palin have run?

India to Lindsay Lohan: GTF Out!

We can totally see an exclusive nightclub or fashion show simply not wanting to deal with the train wreck that is Lindsay Lohan and denying her admittance. The world’s largest democracy blacklisting her, however? Britain’s Telegraph reports that government officials in India are mulling whether to ban Lohan permanently from the nation following her December visit. Too bad she has U.S. citizenship and we can’t follow suit. Filming a BBC documentary about child labor and human trafficking, Lohan claimed she saved 40 kids’ lives in a single day during a raid on a sweatshop. The good news: Those kids were in fact rescued. The bad news? Not by Lindsay. The alleged actress and milkaholic apparently played no actual role in it. Lindsay did go to India. After that, the facts are as blurry as this pic . “Over 40 children saved so far … All within one day’s work … This is what life is about … Doing THIS is a life worth living!!!” Lindsay bragged on Twitter. Activists were offended by her boast, and pointed out that the actress arrived in India after the raids in question, and played no part in rescuing the kids. This led officials to discover she violated India’s visa rules: Lohan failed to apply for a work visa for the trip, and illegally filmed a documentary as a tourist. The Telegraph writes that civil servants in New Delhi are now investigating the case to determine whether Lohan will be added to an immigration blacklist. So basically, she used the trip to highlight the superficiality of celebrity life, while trying to superficially score points for going, as she didn’t do anything. Way to go, Linds. Just stick to posing like Jesus next time.
