Fresh Prince Lockdown Shuts Down School District

So, this actually happened in Pennsylvania this week… When a receptionist from an Ambridge doctor’s office phoned to remind student Travis Clawson that he had an upcoming appointment, the call went to voicemail No biggie, right? Except the receptionist heard the words “shooting” and “school” on the outgoing message… which led her to contact the police… who notified school officials… who instituted a lockdown of every school in the country. Fresh Prince Theme Song After 20 minutes, Clawson was finally tracked down in the guidance office and it was determined that the receptionist simply heard the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air theme song on his voicemail, which refers to “shooting some ball outside of the school.” Police Chief James Mann and District Attorney Anthony Berosh both spoke to Clawson and cleared up the issue. No charges will be pressed and we can only presume, with the situation hilariously resolved, that all parties then returned to chilling out, maxing, relaxing all cool…

USA Today is reporting that “X Factor” winner Melanie Amaro has signed a deal with L.A. Reid’s Epic Records. Melanie won $5 million, the largest prize in television history, and is set to star in an iconic Pepsi commercial. L.A. said in a statement: “I joined The X Factor to be able to discover undeniable talent such as Melanie. I am pleased that she is now signed to Epic Records because I believe we have only scratched the surface on uncovering her talent and her inevitable journey to super-stardom.” Simon Cowell added: “We all agreed that Epic would be the right fit for Melanie. L.A. made it clear that he wanted the opportunity to work with her and with his track record, you can’t say no to that.” “I am so excited to start recording my debut album for Epic under the guidance of L.A. John Stamos: Coming to Glee!

On last night’s season finale of Glee , Will declared his love for Emma. But the curly-haired teacher will have competition for this guidance counselor’s affections in the fall, as multiple sources confirm that John Stamos will come aboard the show in a recurring role. The former Full House star will portray Emma’s dentist and love interest. Stamos may forever be Uncle Jesse to viewers of that sitcom, but he possesses an extensive singing background, having starred in Broadway musicals such as Bye, Bye Birdie and Cabaret . Stamos will be the latest big name to guest star on Glee . In just one season on the air, the creative comedy attracted such stars as Neil Patrick Harris, Josh Groban, Olivia Newton-John and Kristin Chenoweth. It also paid tribute to Madonna and Lady GaGa via multiple renditions of their singles. It’s a really good show. You should watch it.

Susan Boyle Calls Overnight Fame A "Demolition Ball"

In a recent interview for broadcast on Wednesday morning’s Today Show, Susan Boyle calls the impact of her overnight success like that of a demolition ball. The Britain’s Got Talent finalist was plucked from relative obscurity, made over and attracted worldwide attention.  Soon after the finale, she was admitted to a hospital for exhaustion. The “demolition ball” must have knocked her around a bit! Says Susan: “I guess I had to get my head around it, but through the guidance of a good team, and they are very good, I was able to see that in perspective and really turn that around  little.” Boyle has since recovered and is at work on a new record with Simon Cowell, who has supported her throughout the ups and downs of her ordeal.  Read more: Simon Cowell is in the money!
