Ruth Bader Ginsburg Apologizes For Criticizing Anthem Protests Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg now wishes she would have STFU when it comes to the recent National Anthem protests lead by Colin Kaepernick reports ESPN : “Some of you have inquired about a book interview in which I was asked how I felt about Colin Kaepernick and other NFL players who refused to stand for the national anthem,” Ginsburg’s statement read. “Barely aware of the incident or its purpose, my comments were inappropriately dismissive and harsh. I should have declined to respond.” It’s the second time in recent months that the 83-year-old Ginsburg has apologized for public comments. She said her comments criticizing Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump in July were “ill advised.” Do you think the Court Justice’s apology was adequate or nah?
The Snook school district has removed an employee from his position after a video posted online showed him repeatedly pushing a small child in a classroom. Facebook user Stacy LeeAnn Gutierrez, a parent of a child in the district, posted a video of the incident late last night, which quickly gained a large amount of attention. In the 29-second clip, a man is seen picking up a small child and pushing him down into a bean bag several times against the boy’s will. “When I tell you to do something, you do it,” the instructor said in the video. “Boy, when I tell you to sit on that blue beanbag, you do it.” The student in the recording repeatedly tells the instructor “no” and does not sit down. Gutierrez said in the Facebook post that her son recorded the video and showed it to an administrator at the school. The administrator watched the clip then erased it, she said. However, Gutierrez said her son had already sent the recording to another device “to keep a copy.” According to a statement released by the Snook school district shortly after the video surfaced online, the district immediately removed the instructor from duty “pending a full review and investigation of the matter.” “The Snook ISD Administration became aware of an incident of concern in which a Snook ISD employee was attempting to exert discipline and control over a young student,” the statement read. “The incident was immediately reported by another student to the principal. The principal did an excellent job in quickly obtaining and preserving available video evidence from school cameras and a student’s mobile device. … Our top priority is for our students to be treated in a safe and respectful manner when they are in our care.” A longer statement released by the school district Friday afternoon said the staff member was a behavior specialist. In the statement, Snook ISD Superintendent Brenda W. Krchnak said she has ordered a review of the district’s “faculty and staff use of discipline and restraint.”
Colin Kaepernick stuck to his guns with his decision to take a knee during the National Anthem tonight, and teammate Eric Reid joined him in making the statement — at a game meant to salute the armed forces, no less. And it looks like Colin’s action is inspiring players on other teams as well. Seahawks baller Jeremy Lane also decided to remain in his seat this time around… Could this be a movement that sweeps across the league? Instagram/ ESPN
Latinos for Trump founder @MarcoGutierrez : “you're gonna have taco trucks on every corner” #inners https://t.co/Vifo3q7Ah8 — All In w/Chris Hayes (@allinwithchris) September 2, 2016 Latino Trump Supporter Defends Donald Trump’s Position On Immigration It’s crazy what self-hate can do. Marco Gutierrez , the founder of “Latinos For Trump,” made some eye-poppingly ridiculous comments on MSNBC earlier tonight. Guitterrez, after Trump’s visit to Mexico, said his “people” were “dominant” and that if America didn’t keep them out there’d be “taco trucks on every corner.” Trump and Mexico haven’t been on the best of terms since he insisted that the Mexican president Enrique Pena Nieto would pay for the wall to keep the “illegals” out. Nieto said in response that he “wasn’t going to build that f****** wall” via Complex GOP presidential nominee Donald Trump’s much-talked about visit to Mexico on Wednesday and his speech on U.S. immigration that followed apparently left out one important consequence should immigration continue: an invasion of taco trucks. Latinos for Trump founder Marco Gutierrez warned about the impending doom of “taco trucks on every corner.” But what about Trump-approved taco bowls? Marco Gutierrez, who it should be noted is Mexican himself, made the remark on MSNBC’s “All In with Chris Hayes” Thursday. “My culture is a very dominant culture,” Gutierrez said. “It’s imposing and it’s causing problems. If you don’t do something about it you’re gonna [sic] have taco trucks [on] every corner.” Trump, who has a documented history with Mexico, including calling Mexican immigrants to the U.S. “rapists” and “drug dealers,” visited the country yesterday. His trip was made possible after being invited by Mexican president Enrique Peña Nieto. Trump’s trip was highlighted by the trending Twitter hashtag #TrumpMexicoTripSayings. After saying he’d be open to a “softer” immigration policy, despite previously promising a policy as impenetrable as the proposed border wall, Trump said he’d create an immigration task force in a speech yesterday. Trump also reiterated plans for the wall he plans on building, but that Mexico will reportedly pay for. But just hours prior to Trump’s statement, Peña Nieto publicly said that wouldn’t be happening. Taco trucks on every corner sounds like heaven. Who doesn’t like tacos?

Model Injured In Chris Brown Drake Brawl Speaks Some random breezy spoke to the NYPost about her involvement and injuries during the bloody bottle-throwing brawl with Drake and Breezy : The sexy Brooklyn model who was partying with Chris Brown and his crew before the big Rihanna-sparked brawl with Drake told The Post she was having the time of her life until all hell broke loose. Ingrid Gutierrez, 21, and six sultry girlfriends arrived at the exclusive W.i.P. club around 3 a.m. on Thursday and were whisked right past the velvet rope and into a VIP section. “It was crowded, and I wanted to go somewhere where I could just sit,” said Gutierrez, a curvy, 118-pound, 5-foot-6 brunette, with pink manicured nails who was wearing a low-cut mini dress that hugged her curves. “We wanted to hear some hip-hop,” she said, “So we went to W.i.P., because we know everyone there and we knew that’s the kind of music they had.” She then bumped into a female friend she has in common with Brown — and landed two seats at the rapper’s table, where $2,000 bottles of Ace of Spades champagne were flowing like water. “Each of them had a bottle and they were sharing them with us,” she said of Brown’s entourage. They were also buying bottles for other tables — a gesture that would soon prove the powder keg for the massive melee. “They were all so nice,” she said. “We were having such a good time. I was talking to my girlfriends, and I talked to Chris a little bit. I also talked to his bodyguard Big Pat.” Gutierrez’s friend started making out with a member of Brown’s posse — and the girls were asked if they would be interested in joining them for an after-party at his suite in the swank Trump SoHo. Brown asked a waitress to send a bottle of the bubbly to Drake’s table — and she came back with a piece of paper that Brown looked at and threw onto the floor. That turned out to be the taunting Rihanna-referencing note that read, “I am f–king the love of your life,” sources have said. Drake and a group that included rapper Meek Mill and their bodyguards then strutted over to Brown’s table. “They got up in his face and were giving him the middle finger. Chris told Drake to f–k off, and the next thing I heard was smashed glass and the bottles started flying at us,” she said. Someone threw a punch at Brown but was blocked by Big Pat — who suffered a big gash in his head. “I didn’t see Chris act violently towards anyone,” she said. “Chris said, ‘Let’s go,’ but there were bottles flying and I saw him get hit in the face, so I hunkered down where I was.” “Suddenly I feel this pain in my head and my friend is covering my face, trying to protect me,” she said. “And then everything was over. I’m laying bleeding on couch and we’re all freaking out.” Another friend popped Gutierrez into a car service and they rushed over to NYU Medical Center, where she needed five staples to close a head wound. She plans to sue the club and anyone else who is found liable. “I think Drake’s entourage are cowards for throwing bottles at girls,” she said. “I’ve lost all respect for Drake. Chris Brown acted like a gentleman to all the girls there. Chris tried to protect me and my friend.” Wow. SMH. More details at NYPost

Drugs are bad m’kay? Texas Mother Arrested For Putting PCP In Child’s Lunch Travis County sheriff’s investigators have charged a Del Valle woman after they say she put the drug PCP into her 6-year-old daughter’s school lunch, according to an arrest affidavit filed with Travis County courts today. Torina Ann Gutierrez, 34, faces a charge of endangering a child, a state jail felony. She is not currently in custody, according to jail records. The affidavit said that on May 4, Gutierrez’s daughter began acting strangely in her first-grade classroom, talking to people who were not there and saying she could hear “banging in her head.” A school counselor called Gutierrez to report what was going on, and Gutierrez said, “Don’t call EMS and don’t call (Child Protective Services), I’m on my way,” the affidavit said. Gutierrez picked the girl up from school, took her home and then called for paramedics, the affidavit said. The girl was tested at a hospital, which returned a positive result for PCP, a powerful and illegal hallucinogen, the affidavit said. She was removed from the home and placed with a family member. Gutierrez also tested positive for the drug, the affidavit said. The girl told investigators that Gutierrez made her lunch that day, and that after she ate it, she felt “crazy and dizzy,” and her lunch meat tasted like “fireworks,” the affidavit said. She called the drug “angel dust” and said she had seen the drug in her home before, the affidavit said. Source
Really? A civil protest is illegal now?? Rep. Luis Gutierrez (D-Ill.) and 10 other immigration reform supporters were arrested in front of the White House on Tuesday for protesting against the Obama administration’s deportation of young people and families. Gutierrez has been arrested for protesting twice before — once, in the mid-1990s, against the bombing of Vieques, Puerto Rico, and again in 2010 against the Obama administration’s deportation record. On Tuesday, he and other deportation critics sat down in front of the White House with a sign reading “One million deported under President Obama.” After about 20 minutes, they were arrested by U.S. Park Police. The 11 protesters will be processed and then released after paying a small fine. Gutierrez is a vocal critic of the deportation of young people and families, who he says should be protected from removal by an executive order by the White House. But President Barack Obama has repeatedly refused to make such an order, calling for Congress to act on immigration reform instead. Barry-O has way bigger problems to deal with than to be making sure that you don’t get send to jail sir. In case you haven’t heard, there is a financial crisis in this country…SMH Source
