Aubrey Fontenot decided to sit down and have a heart-to-heart conversation with a young man that had been allegedly bullying his 8 year old son at school after the school failed to step in and do something about the situation. After a short talk, he learned the reason as to why the young man was lashing out. “I came with the energy that he was ready to receive,” Fontenot said. “Because a lot of times, just because you want to talk to me doesn’t mean I want to talk to you. But I think he just wanted, he was ready to talk to me. He knew that I cared. He saw it in my eyes.”

Seth Aaron Fleury from South Carolina pleaded guilty on Thursday to assault and battery of a high and aggravated nature. He is going to serve at least 85% of the 12 year sentence before he becomes eligible for parole, according to a release from state solicitor W. Walter Wilkins. The incident happened when Fleury met up with his former girlfriend Kayla Hayes on October 21, 2017, to discuss the status of their relationship. Fleury got angry when Hayes was clear that she didn’t want to continue dating him. When he tried to lean in for a kiss, Hayes pulled away, which is when Fleury chomped down on her bottom lip with so much force that part of her lip was amputated. Following the incident, he left the scene, according to the release. Hayes underwent an unsuccessful procedure in an attempt to have her lip reattached, and now has permanent, serious, scarring and a limited range of motion in her mouth as a result. Fleury’s attorney said that he intentionally bit Hayes, according to a Facebook post that she wrote. “I had to listen to his attorney say that when he attacked me, it was intentional. Saying that he claimed ‘he was going to leave his mark for me next boyfriend,’” Hayes wrote. She also recalled the attack — which took place almost a year ago. “This was the day that a piece of me died…Sitting in a puddle of my own blood with the majority of my lip laying on my leg, my whole mouth on fire, confused and terrified, I didn’t know how I could ever show my face again. At that point, honestly wishing that those very seconds would just be my last- I wanted to give up for good.” She continued, saying she struggled with the fact of her new reality post surgery: “What I just woke up from was no joke. Never a day in my life will I ever wake up living my ‘normal’ life again,” she said. Wilkins hopes that her attacker’s sentence sends a serious message about domestic violence. “This case demonstrates the unique circumstances under which domestic violence occurs, and how quickly these situations can escalate into violence,” he said. “Hopefully this prison sentence will make it clear to both this defendant and other abusers that domestic violence in any fashion will not be tolerated.”

While a couple of Bachelor in Paradise contestants have spoken out about what they did and did not witness on the set prior to production being shut down, it looks like others are keeping mum. Robby Hayes announced that he has no comment in perhaps the most tasteless way imaginable, and he’s getting major backlash for it online. “What happens in paradise, stays in paradise,” he tweeted, adding the hashtags “NoComment” and “BIP4.” Dude … given speculation about what happened, that reads like a borderline rape joke . Not cool. It would be a fine response if people were asking who drank the most or whether there was an orgy or about basically anything else but what sounds like a sexual assault . But because people are very much talking about sexual assault, there is no excuse for appropriating the Vegas slogan for this. Maybe he’s just thinking of this as a scenario of cheating — Corinne does have a real life boyfriend now, after all — and not wanting to tattle. But nobody shuts down production because somebody stepped out on their significant other, or we wouldn’t have reality television at all. And heck, if Robby was there, maybe from what he saw things didn’t look that serious. But Robby should know that people are talking about consent and sexual assault, and he shouldn’t have such a lighthearted tone about it. Especially if he isn’t going to “clear things up” or whatever. Have some class, dude. There’s only so much that we know so far, but allegedly Corinne Olympios and DeMario Jackson began hooking up in a pool after spending all day drinking. There was reportedly a lot of touching and even some fingering, with DeMario engaging in some genital-licking. And according to (mixed) reports, it’s been sounding like they were encouraged, possibly every step of the way, by producers. What raises the most red flags is that, while DeMario remembers the encounter, Corinne does not. And while sometimes that sort of thing just happens, we can’t imagine a network pulling the plug on an entire season so suddenly — and expensively — unless they worry that something truly awful has happened. So far, no one is seriously accusing DeMario or Corinne of any wrongdoing. And that includes Corinne not blaming DeMario — they were both super intoxicated. It’s been sounding like, at the bare minimum, the producers and crew should have intervened and ushered them back to their respective rooms. Honestly, even if they’d been sober, there’s so much of even a blurred sexual encounter that they could have gotten away with airing. But when intoxication is a factor, consent is not, and any responsible bystander should have separated the two until they slept it off. Some of the contestants, Robby included, must feel frustrated over being sent home. Some might even blame their pool-partying costars. But there have been suggestions that the producers wanted something like this to happen, believing that the hookup would lead to higher ratings. Corinne Olympios’ wild reputation would make her the perfect character for them to steer into thotting it up in the pool, right? If that’s really what happened, then not only is it shameful — we’d say that getting two people drunk so that they’ll bang on camera is every bit as vile as getting them drunk so that they’ll bang you — but it backfired spectacularly. Because it sounds like there’s basically zero chance of this season of Bachelor in Paradise happening. As for what happened … we may not ever know the whole story, but for any investigators involved, we’re sure that the cameras caught plenty of evidence . Honestly, we’d love to find out that this is just a minor sex scandal with no foul play and maybe just a producer who misunderstood the situation and freaked out a little. And if that’s the case, Robby Hayes’ tweet would almost be justified. But it would still be a tone-deaf response, given that fans have heard that the situation is worse than that, and that the outcome is far from certain. Robby needs to get his act together and be less flippant if he wants fans to put up with him enough to continue his reality career. End rant. Hayes Grier has been hospitalized. The Internet sensation, who is one of the most popular stars in Vine, got into a serious accident yesterday while riding his dirt bike. News of the crash and of Grier’s tenuous condition was first made public in a Tweet by his brother, Nash Grier. “Just got a call on set that said Hayes was in a crash. He’s now in the hospital,” Nash tweeted to his 5.63 million followers, adding the hashtag “#PrayForHayes” to his message. It didn’t take long for this hashtag to go viral. In follow-up a series of follow-up Tweets, Nash kept fans as informed as he could be, writing of his sibling: “He can move & talk (thank god) but he’s coughed up a lot of blood. That’s all I know. Praying he has a quick recovery. “Damn I hate hearing s–t like that on the phone, scared me to death.” About an hour later, Nash actually shared a screenshot of a text exchange (which he captioned with “Phew”) with more specific news regarding Hayes’ health. It’s unclear who was on the other side of the exchange, but it appears to be someone at the hospital and it reads as follows: “Your brother is pretty busted up right now. Luckily no major stuff. All scans came back negative for any internal bleeding. “He does have a concussion, fractured top two ribs and bruised lung on one side. He is in a lot of pain.” Hayes Grier is only 16 years old. But he sky-rocketed to Internet fame due to his Vine and YouTube videos. At he moment, Grier has 3.53 million Twitter followers… 5.3 million Instagram followers… 4.4 million Vine followers … and 848,000 YouTube subscribers. He competed on Season 21 of Dancing with the Stars . He was the second-youngest contestant to ever appear on the show and he teamed with Emma Slater to reach Week 7. A few hours after news of Grier’s crash went public, a rep for the famous teenager released the following statement to Us Weekly: Earlier today, Hayes Grier was involved in a dirt bike accident and immediately transported to a local hospital. Hayes suffered a concussion, broken rib, bruised lung, and multiple skin lacerations. Thankfully, he is OK and currently resting and recovering in the hospital surrounded by his family, where he will remain for the next few days.
