The Vampire Diaries Season 7 Episode 11 Recap: What Did Damon Do?!?

Damon and Stefan may be out of The Phoenix Stone. But viewers witnessed on  The Vampire Diaries Season 7 Episode 11 just how these brothers are not of the dangerous woods just yet as a result of the time in their respective personal Hells. Much to his surprise, Damon was actually forgiven almost immediately for his violent actions to close out The Vampire Diaries Season 7 Episode 10 , as Stefan said everyone understood. Damon thought he was still inside the Stone and the Stone seriously effs with people’s minds. Simply enough. How does Stefan know this so well? Because we got a glimpse into his journey through Hell this week, which included the endless nightmare of Damon trying to kill Caroline. Stefan still saw this image for many weeks after being awaken and he finally realized why. He finally realized the message the Stone was trying to tell him: That he’ll never be happy until Damon is out of his life for good. But, come on. This is Stefan Salvatore. He has Hero Hair. And he ended the hour by assuring Damon that he’ll never leave him, that the two are stuck together for life. View Slideshow: 15 Best Shows in CW History: Ranked! It was a very sweet sentiment, but Damon couldn’t exactly appreciate it in that moment. And here’s why: Still haunted himself by his experience in the Stone, Damon kept seeing his Civil War friend everywhere. The dude kept harassing Damon about how he’s truly a monster and how it was his job to bring the monster back out. So, to rid himself of this pseudo stalker, Damon poured gasoline all over his body and set it afire. But this was the problem with that plan: Damon actually set ELENA’s BODY on fire! Tyler (randomly in town for Caroline’s baby shower) agreed to take Damon to visit his unconscious girlfriend, only for Damon to see his hallucination instead of Elena. He then knocked Tyler out and set the body ablaze, only to later realize it was Elena all along. He couldn’t bring himself to tell Stefan what happened and now we’re left to wonder: is Elena’s body really burned to a crisp?!? Elsewhere this week: Caroline learned that Alaric was planning to get a job in Texas and raise his twins there. Makes perfect sense as far as wanting to keep them safe, but this made Caroline very sad. She has grown attached to those twins. Julian has turned Mystic Falls into one crazy, constant, violent party town, letting his Heretics run loose. We learned about The Huntress: the Phoenix Stone sword belongs to her and she will stop at nothing to track down those who have been stabbed with it. And she’s on her way to Mystic Falls. Might she be the cop who pulled over Matt for drunk driving and who found his collection of weapons in his truck? We ask because the flash forward to three years from now featured Matt teaming up WITH The Huntress, letting Caroline go free but admitting that he’s helping The Huntress go after Stefan. That’s a lot to digest. Go watch The Vampire Diaries online if you need to catch up and sound off below on a great episode.

The Vampire Diaries Season 7 Episode 4 Recap: Bring Me to Life

Many lives were lost, two lives were resurrected and one life may be starting anew as a result of events on The Vampire Diaries Season 7 Episode 4 . Ready to run all this down? We’ll start THREE YEARS IN THE FUTURE just to get that over with: Alaric is the dad to twin girls! There’s no mention of a wife or a mother, just a figure standing in the doorway that scares him and his daughters. It’s Damon. Alaric says he must be there because someone died. Damon says that will be the case soon if Alaric doesn’t do exactly what he says. Back to PRESENT DAY: Damon discovers that Oscar has been killed, making up some story to Nora and Mary Louise that he’s gone missing; a story they do not buy and which leads them to kill a Whitemore student every hour until Oscar turns up. Cue Stefan and Caroline trying to keep an eye on them by making them want to attend a Heaven and Hell college dance. View Slideshow: 15 Best Shows in CW History: Ranked! At the dance, Nora and Mary Louise have it out over how the former has adjusted well to modern times, but the latter is struggling and figuratively smuggling the former. It’s actually a nice few moments, giving fans insight into this relationship and these characters. There’s definite potential for the Heretics to end up like The Originals and their presence has already opened up the world of Mystic Falls in a much needed way. Nora and Mary Louise make up in the end, sharing a slow dance after Stefan and Caroline teamed up to force Nora to siphon away Valerie’s vervain spell. Stefan can now touch his girlfriend… and touch her he does! They totally have sex. While this is taking place, Damon takes Oscar to the morgue and Bonnie successfully brings him back to life with The Phoenix Stone, though he seems to have no memory and is REALLY hungry now that he’s alive again. But Damon does successfully return him to Lily and receive Elena’s coffin in exchange. Lily gives her son a speech about how he needs to find out who he is without Elena at some point, prompting Damon to drink a lot of wine… write in his journal… and then send Elena’s coffin off with Tyler. Random, right? But maybe that explains why Damon is in Brooklyn in three years. Perhaps he chose to sleep next to Elena until she wakes up. Speaking of waking up: we end the episode with Bonnie also using the Stone to bring Jo back to life. It cuts to black as soon as her eyes open. Whoa there! What will this mean on The Vampire Diaries Season 7 Episode 5 ? We’ll be tuning in to find out. And you should be heading to TV Fanatic to watch The Vampire Diaries online if you missed any of the action.

The Vampire Diaries: 7 Season 7 Spoilers from Comic-Con

Fans must wait all the way until October 8 for the premiere of  The Vampire Diaries Season 7 on The CW. Fortunately, the show's key cast members and producers gathered at Comic-Con in San Diego over the weekend to provide scoop on the following upcoming storylines: Damon without Elena in his life. Caroline trying to stave off the formation of Staroline. Enzo's big decision. New villains in town. The demise of Mystic Falls as we've known it. Scroll through the following slides to gather up scoop on what will go down this fall on The Vampire Diaries Season 7… 1. A Dark Damon Both Ian Somerhalder and Julie Plec teased that Damon will return to the “sexy, volatile, fun” Damon from Season 1 and 2. Said the producer: “For him, it’s ‘Who am I without this girl right by my side?’ We’re going to see a lot of naughty Damon trying not to be naughty.” 2. Staroline… Not Forever? Plec promises “many unexpected twists and turns” when it comes to Caroline and Stefan’s relationship, as the former will be doing all she can to stave off the formation of Staroline. But it won’t be easy for her. 3. Who’s Going Shirtless? It doesn’t matter much to us, they’re all pretty easy on the eyes, but Plec also teased “shirtless stuff every episode.” 4. Choosing a Side Enzo will have quite a dilemma on his hands when Season 7 opens. “It’s about choosing his allegiance,” Michael Malarkey says. “Does he go with Lily and the Heretics or does he side with Damon? It’s a struggle for him.” Look for a major decision to be made by the end of the premiere. 5. Big and Very Bad Producer Caroline Dries acknowledged how awesome Kai was as a villain on Season 6, but she’s confident the Heretics can maybe surpass him on Season 7: “By bringing in Lily’s family, it’s these six villains who can do magic — and they’re vampires. It’s going to be exciting and gruesome and violence.” 6. RIP, Mystic Falls? Partly through the use of flashbacks and time jumps, we’ll learn how Mystic Falls became the abandoned, polluted town we saw at the end of the Season 6 finale. View Slideshow
