John Hurt, an absolutely incredible actor, passed away last night at the age of 77 years old. He'd been battling pancreatic cancer for a few years. But instead of focusing on the sadness of his death , let's take some time to focus on his career. And goodness, what a career it was. John was perhaps best known for starring in The Elephant Man, but he also had notable roles in movies like Alien and V for Vendetta. Many people would also recognize him from his work in the Harry Potter movies — he played Ollivander, the dedicated wandmaker. But in addition to making so many wonderful films, he was also, as we're learning, a great person. Check out many celebrities who've taken the time to pay tribute to this man: 1. So this is a pitiful little story. But it’s a story about Jenelle Evans … was there really any chance that it wouldn’t be a pitiful story? To recap, Jenelle had a baby , little Ensley Jolie Eason, on Tuesday. Sweet, right? Good for her. But then Chelsea Houska, the best, most likable, most stable Teen Mom of them all, gave birth to her son , Watson Cole DeBoer, on Wednesday. Do you see where this is going yet? Poor Jenelle didn’t even get one full day where all the attention was on her, which must have really hurt. It must have hurt worse once you consider that having a baby is one of the only things that would inspire people to say anything nice about this girl — not many would rip her apart right at that moment. And fans were quick to point out this unfortunate turn of events. One of her followers pointed out to Jenelle that “She stole your thunder” — and it’s true. Chelsea stole that thunder, and she stole it hard . Another stated that “Chelsea is family goals & Jenelle is the family you want to forever avoid being.” Cold. But accurate. One person told Jenelle early yesterday that “Hahaha both pictures you posted don’t have as many likes as ONE of Chelsea’s pics. You’re probably so pissed.” So is it true? Is Jenelle actually upset that Chelsea had her baby so soon after she had hers? Would she really be so petty as to be upset over some dumb social media nonsense during such a special time in her life? According to Jenelle, she’s totally cool with Chelsea. “I really don’t understand why everyone would think we would be so mad at each other for having our babies born so close,” she tweeted last night. She added an “lmao,” so you know she’s real chill about it. She also said “I’m actually happy for her and glad she got the little boy she always wanted.” How nice! And how unexpected, too, considering that Jenelle has never really gotten along with Chelsea precisely because of jealousy. The two Teen Mom stars announced their pregnancy around the same time, and while everyone was so happy for Chelsea, people were concerned that Jenelle was having a third baby with a third man . Ol’ Bitter Bessie here tweeted “Funny someone else comes out with news they are pregnant and the world is overjoyed,” then deleted her Twitter account altogether . And then, a few months before that, Jenelle got upset because Chelsea dared to start her own website. Yes, according to Radar Online Malia Obama was at Sundance this week, and all eyes were on the former first daughter for signs of a slip-up that could be used to further enrage the millions of Americans who are still pissed about her father’s blackness. Unfortunately, she didn’t morph into Lindsay Lohan the day her family moved out of the White House, so we’ll have go right on paying attention to the fact that our current president wants to turn out southern border a $25 billion border wall. Bummer. So what sort of behavior did Malia engage in in Park City that might warrant the attention of the tabloid press? Well apparently she attended a “controversial new film,” which wouldn’t even be newsworthy if this were the world’s slowest news week and Malia weren’t interning for a prominent indie film producer. But as it happens, Malia is currently working for Harvey Weinstein and American democracy is dying a slow painful death as we speak, which means the fact that a single tabloid editor saw this story and said, “I want 1,000 words on my desk yesterday!” is evidence that we’re living in a dystopian nightmare dreamed up by the ghosts of Orwell and Philip K. Dick. The messed up thing is, this story will gain traction, just like it did when Malia “partied” at a club last week. The narrative began with images of Malia “smoking pot” at Lollapalooza over the summer, and it shows no signs of letting up, We understand the need to distract yourself from the real, terrifying political news of the moment, but there are easier ways to get outraged over nonsense. Mary Tyler Moore, the beloved veteran actress who influenced a generation of female comedians via her iconic role on The Mary Tyler Moore Show, passed away today in a Connecticut hospital. She was 80 years old. The legendary star was admitted to the hospital this week following a lengthy battle with Diabetes. She also underwent brain surgery in 2011 and has struggled with a number of healthy problems in recent years. In 2014, friends said Moore was suffering from heart and kidney problems and was on the verge of going blind. Hence why she had not been spotted out in public very often. According to TMZ, Moore was on a respirator for over week prior to her passing. Her rep, Mara Buxbaum, issued a statement to TMZ that confirmed this tragic news: “Today, beloved icon, Mary Tyler Moore, passed away at the age of 80 in the company of friends and her loving husband of over 33 years, Dr. S. Robert Levine. She called Moore “a groundbreaking actress, producer, and passionate advocate for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.” All in all, “Mary will be remembered as a fearless visionary who turned the world on with her smile.” Few women have left as indelible a mark on the entertainment industry as Moore. She rose to fame as the character of Laura Petrie, a wife and mother on The Dick Van Dyke Show, which ran from 1961 through 1966. In 1970, she signed on to portray Mary Richards, a news producer in Minneapolis on The Mary Tyler Moore Show. It ran for seven seasons and is considered one of the funniest, most respected and appreciated sitcoms in TV history. Over the course of its unparalleled run, The Mary Tyler Moore Show won 29 Emmys, a total that has only been surpassed by Saturday Night Live, Frasier and Game of Thrones. She was dedicated to the compassionate treatment of farm animals and was the co-founder of Broadway Barks, an annual animal adopt-a-thon held in New York City. Married three times, Moore suffered a personal tragedy in 1980. That year, her only child, 24-year old son Richard, died from a self-inflicted shotgun wound after playing with the weapon at home. But it was Moore’s contribution to the world of comedy that will live on forever, in the hearts and minds of so many fans, friends and colleagues. She will forever be on the short list of influential stars, anchoring a TV show as a woman during a time when actresses rarely received such an opportunity. Kylie Jenner is intent on proving that breakfast is the most important meal of the day. The Keeping Up with the Kardashians star recently took to her official website in order to brag about her inner Martha Stewart. The 19-year old talked at length about the breakfast she whips up every morning for herself and Tyga, prior to posting a trio of new photos on Instagram. And each of these images put Kylie’s body on full (that is, barely clothed) display. “I’m sure you guys can tell from my Snaps, but I’m pretty damn domestic,” Kylie wrote on her website, apparently without a trace of irony. “I seriously love being home and cooking for my friends and family, especially breakfast.” We know she really does love being at home. This point is driven home with every bathroom selfie and every selfie of Jenner by a pool, rocking a skimpy bikini designed for ogling. Kylie continued in her insightful post: “I make the same meal every morning because it’s amazing and it’s T’s favorite. He always asks for it! It’s so easy, anyone can do it!!!” We know you’re dying for more: What is in this meal, Kylie?!? “MY 3 MAIN INGREDIENTS” are, despite the starlet’s obscene wealth, pretty basic and the kind of thing that you can easily replicate home. Well, there haven’t been any major celebrity deaths so far in 2017 (unless, for some reason, you consider American democracy to be a major celebrity). But that doesn’t mean this year is gonna let you off easy. In fact, you may want to sit down for this one, because there’s a good chance that we’re about to crush your dreams: Mike “Sugar Bear” Thompson is officially off the market. Yes, just three months after we learned that Sugar Bear is engaged to Jennifer Lamb, it seems he and the lucky lady have tied the knot. Yes, Lamb married Bear in a ceremony presumably woodland ceremony presumably attended by Honey Boo Boo herself. We’d say the whole situation is sweet enough to give you diabetes, but we’re guessing most of the wedding party was diagnosed long ago. Thompson and Lamb wasted little time on courtship. The two got engaged just nine months after they met. Sugar Bear and Mama June broke up in early 2015, but made several public attempts to mend their relationship. In fact, it seems there was some overlap between Sugar Bear’s two relationships, which says a lot about … something. Either this can be viewed as an indictment of the quality of available men in rural Georgia, or a testament to SB’s sexual prowess. We’re not sure which option is more disturbing. Anyway, many fans (insofar as the disgraced Shannon-Thompson clan still has fans) are skeptical of the union, and for good reason: June and Sugar’s time on Marriage Boot Camp now looks like simply a cash grab, and they were never really working to save their relationship. Mama and Sugar began to have problems around the time the world learned that she cheated on him with the man who molested her daughter . Amazingly, however, June was the one who dumped Sugar Bear, after publicly accusing him of carrying on a number of gay affairs behind her back. Interestingly, the news of Thompson and Lamb’s marriage comes the same day that we learned about June’s return to television. This time, she’ll star on a series about her physical transformation. Jenelle Evans has a lot on her plate these days. The Carolina Hurricane is pregnant with her third child , and her life remains the usual tumult of conflict and easily-avoidable drama. In fact, it’s looking like Jenelle may have quit Teen Mom 2 following yet another conflict with producers over the way she’s portrayed on the show. One would think that with everything going on these days, Jenelle might hold off on making any major life decisions until after the dust settles. But this is a woman who sows more insanity before breakfast than most people do their entire lives. So it should come as no surprise that Jenelle is courting more craziness by seemingly welcoming rumors that she’s engaged to boyfriend David Eason. Jenelle gets engaged like most people change their profile picture, so even if the rumors are true, there’s still no guarantee that she’ll actually make it down the aisle. The reports began when Jenelle posted a photo of a ring on Snapchat: Turns out, the bling is for her future daughter, Ensley, who apparently needs some high-end jewelry to match her country club-ready name. Of course, Jenelle almost certainly knew what sort of speculation would follow when she posted the pic, and she seems to be inviting it. Despite numerous tweets and comments from fans guessing that she’s engaged, Jenelle has yet to issue a hard denial. So even though the ring she posted is not hers, the possibility that she’s ready to walk down the aisle remains. We’ve already seen Jenelle lie about being pregnant in previews for the current season of TM2, so even if she issues a denial about her engagement, it’s unlikely that anyone will believe her. In fact, we’ll go out on a limb and say that even if they’re not yet officially engaged, Jenelle and David are almost certainly planning a wedding. How could they not be?
