Kenneth Petty: Somehow, Nicki Minaj’s Rapist Boyfriend Keeps Getting Worse

As you may have heard, Nicki Minaj is dating Kenneth Petty , a man who has served time on rape and manslaughter convictions. The public is baffled, fans are appalled, and an oblivious Nicki keeps posting pics with her new man like she just won the cuffing season lottery. Astonishingly, it was recently reported that Nicki is planning to marry Kenneth .  The only possible explanations here are that she knows something we don’t; she’s lost her damn mind; or her feud with Cardi B is so intense that she won’t let her rival claim the title of Most Horrendous Marriage. Kenneth was one of Nicki’s first loves — they grew up together in Queens. And sources close to the rapper say she’s convinced that he’s changed. Which is good, because based on his prison disciplinary records, dude has a lot of changing to do before he could be considered husband material for anyone . TMZ obtained Petty’s records , and it seems dude was anything but a model prisoner. In fact, his problems began one day after he was incarcerated, when he was disciplined for creating a disturbance. It was all downhill from there, as Petty was written up a whopping 18 times over the course of his two bids behind bars. Petty’s most major violations include two violent conduct violations in 2010 for threats and fighting. Prior to that, he also racked up another fighting violation, and 5 violations for disobeying a direct order. One 2009 incident caused major problems for Nicki’s beau: He was cited for 9 separate violations following an altercation and wound up serving four months in solitary. After that, he was stripped of all his major privileges, including phone, recreation, and commissary. Look, prison is a rough place; the incarceration rate in this country is outrageous, and it disproportionately affects young men of color in a way that some have described as among the world’s most egregious human rights violations. But it’s not like Kenneth was knocked for selling dime bags. Dude went up the river the first time for first degree attempted rape. His second conviction was for manslaughter. We just hope Nicki knows what she’s getting herself into. View Slideshow: 19 Nicki Minaj Fun Facts!

Lisa Vanderpump: Being a Real Housewife Isn’t Fun Anymore …

Lisa Vanderpump is a reality television powerhouse. Her personality shines strong on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills , and her spin-off Vanderpump Rules can stand up on its own. Apparently, however, Lisa has been really distancing herself from her fellow Real Housewives. And it’s starting to piss them off. In May, Lisa Vanderpump’s brother was found dead of a suspected drug overdose, though it was also claimed that had intended to take his own life. Now, months later, she appears to be pushing away her co-stars on RHOB . TMZ reports that Lisa Vanderpump is making minimal effort to interact with the other Housewives, off camera but also on camera. She’s growing increasingly isolated, even totally ditching a photoshoot that the rest of the cast was doing. Erika Jayne called her out publicly for blowing them off, but they’re all pissed. Why is Lisa doing this? An obvious explanation might be her alleged feud with Dorit Kemsley. Lisa Vanderpump is a huge animal lover. She runs a rescue, she has a foundation to support the rights of non-human animals — particularly, dogs and cats. Lisa has a rescue, and Dorit adopted a dog from Lisa’s rescue. The rumor was that Dorit dropped off the dog at some random animal shelter and that Lisa is feuding with her over it. While that would leave Lisa (or anyone) pretty justifiably peeved, that is apparently not what happened. As Lisa explained to TMZ , she and Dorit don’t have a feud going. In fact, she says that Dorit didn’t drop off the dog at an animal shelter — she attempted to rehome the dog to a friend. It was apparently this alleged friend who instead chose to abandon the dog at a shelter. Thankfully, all of the dogs from Lisa’s rescue are chipped so they were able to recover the dog. When you adopt a dog, they become a part of your family. Dorit must have felt incredibly betrayed when this so-called friend ditched the dog. But if Lisa doesn’t have an issue with Dorit … what’s going on? Whatever beef is going on among the Real Housewives, TMZ is told that no one is sharing what it is. Obviously, the franchise runs on feuds. Feuds are its fuel and lifeblood. But unresolved tension that doesn’t play out on camera doesn’t do much good for the show — especially if the women can’t even film together. We hope that whatever it is can be worked out, even if it gets played up for the cameras. There is another possibility, however. What if the sudden death of her brother shook Lisa’s world to the point where she no longer feels invested in The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills ? When you’ve lost a sibling like that, it can make you reevaluate your priorities. But we have to say that it’s more likely that she’s just still grieving him. That is a very normal and healthy process, and it might mean that you seem a little distant from others. If there is an actual feud behind it, though, we’ll be interested to learn the real source of tension. View Slideshow: 14 Best Lisa Vanderpump Quotes… Ever!

Matt Brown, Alaskan Bush People Star, Checks Into Rehab

Matt Brown has taken the first step in his hopeful path to recovery. The Alaskan Bush People star has admitted he needs help. Speaking to People Magazine, the Discovery Channel personality says he is checking into rehab for the second time in order to receive assistance for a dependency on alcohol. “I struggle with substance abuse, and after a year of ups and downs, I decided to return to treatment,” the oldest Brown son tells the publication in this week’s issue. He adds: “I’m really grateful for everyone’s support and hope to have my life back on track soon.” The reality star first entered a treatment facility of this nature in the spring of 2016. What made him realize that he had to try again and that he had to turn his life around? “I could see myself spiraling,” Brown explains, acknowledging that he had been spending more and more time drinking over the previous year. “I was more withdrawn. I was slower. Things didn’t excite me the way they used to.” On a recent episode of Alaskan Bush People, Matt got injured while helping to build the family’s new residence. Overall, meanwhile, the Browns have been through a whole lot over the past two years; most notably, of course, the loved ones have been dealing with matriarch Ami’s very serious lung cancer diagnosis . It was believeed for awhile that Ami would not survive the Stage 4 illness, but she remains a major part of the series and of the family. Due to her need for medical care, however, the Browns have left Alaska and settled in rural Washington. Now, they’ll be without Matt for an unspecified period of time. (It’s unclear at the moment just where Matt will receive treatment and for how long he will be there.) “It’s hard not having one of my babies here with us,” says Ami, who is now cancer-free, yet has been informed she should undergo tests every three months for the rest of her life. “He was so strong for me, and I want to be strong for him,” she adds to People. “We miss him terribly, but we’d rather lose him from home for a little while than lose him forever,” dad Billy says. “We just want him to do what he needs to do to get better.” Amen. We send Matt our very best wishes. Alaskan Bush People airs Sunday at 9/8c on Discovery. View Slideshow: Alaskan Bush People: 13 Secrets They Don’t Want You to Know

O.J. Simpson is Worried Someone Will Murder Bill Cosby

O.J. Simpson knows a thing or two about murder. He also knows a thing or two about being in prison. Considering his depth of knowledge in these areas, The Juice spoke to TMZ on Tuesday about Bill Cosby; his incarceration; and what may happen to the disgraced comedian behind bars. Indeed, Cosby was sentenced up to 10 years in jail yesterday afternoon, months after he was found guilty of drugging and raping a former Temple University employee named Andrea Constand. Cosby was immediately handcuffed and hauled off to prison, according to various news outlets, stopping pretty much just to pose for a very sad mug shot . Sad in terms of how he looked, we mean. Most definitely not sad in terms of the outcome of this case. We hope the rapist never lives freely in society again. Simpson, for his part, is concerned that this hope will become a reality — but not because the 81-year will die from natural causes while in the clink. But because someone will kill Cosby. “The problem is the nature of the crime,” O.J. told TMZ while golfing in Nevada. “Rapists are frowned upon in prison.” For good reason, some might say; which doesn’t mean we’re yearning for some inmate to shank Cosby or anything. It just means this isn’t exactly a problem that seems worth thinking about for any period of time; we’re not about to lose sleep over the fate of Bill Cosby behind bars. But we’re not O.J. Simpson, either. “I’m sure there will be guys protecting him but they’re gonna have to put him in protective custody … because it takes one nut, ya know?” Simpson added. O.J – who spent nine years in jail after being convicted of armed robbery (but zero years in jail for almost definitely murdering his ex-wife and her friend in 1994) – thinks Cosby ought to be placed under house arrest for the duration of his sentence. But won’t this mean he gets to spend time with his loved ones? And enjoy the relative freedom of life inside a mansion, as opposed to life within the confines of a cell and a state penitentiary? Yes, but at least the man who very likely drugged and raped about 60 women will feel safe in that case, Simpson basically argues here. Cosby was convicted in April on three counts of aggravated indecent assault, all stemming from a 2004 incident in which he drugged Constand at his Pennsylvania home and molested her. In a five-page victim statement submitted to the judge, Constand said the following about this assault and its aftermath: “The shame was overwhelming. Self-doubt and confusion kept me from turning to my family or friends as I normally did… “I felt completely alone, unable to trust anyone, including myself… “The psychological, emotional and financial bullying included a slander campaign in the media that left my entire family reeling in shock and disbelief.” But Simpson doesn’t care much about all of that. He’s just concerned about the man who drugged and raped her. “With his health and his age and the nature of the crime, there’s not a warden in this country wants the responsibility of a Bill Cosby,” the former NFL running back told TMZ, concluding: “I think they should let him do his time under house arrest.”
