Tyga DRAGS Kylie Jenner: I Made That Chick Rich and Famous!

Reports say that, privately, Tyga misses Kylie Jenner and her sexy feet and the lifestyle that he had while he was with her. But in a new interview — on Nicki Minaj’s radio show — Tyga says that he’s happy to have moved on and has no hard feelings. In fact, Tyga claims that really, he’s the one who made Kylie into the success story she is today. Tyga appeared on Nicki Minaj’s Queen Radio, where naturally he was asked about his ex-girlfriend, Kylie Jenner. Specifically, he was asked if he missed her. “Nah, I’m good luv,” Tyga replied. “Enjoy!” Well, Kylie turned 21 in August. Perhaps she is now too old to hold the interest of the almost-29-year-old rapper who began dating her when she was a minor. Who can say? Tyga then stirs the pot by claiming that he helped Kylie become the influencer, mogul, and near-billionaire she is today. “You’ve got to look at the before and after,” he claims. Tyga does acknowledge: “She always had a platform and she was always destined to be what she was going to be regardless.” “But when I stepped in,” Tyga says. “There was a lot of codes being taught.” By that, he means that she was still figuring out her look and her brand. He says: “It was like, ‘You could do this, you should start this, you should start doing your hair like this,’” Tyga shares the advice that he supposedly gave to Kylie: “You should adapt because you need black people to f–k with you cause you need culture.” To clarify, to f–k with someone in this case doens’t mean sex or pranking someone — it means to be willing to associate with someone. “I had a lot to do with all that,” Tyga boasts. “I don’t need to go online and tell people I did this and I’m the one helping her coming up with these colors and names on her … lip line,” Tyga claims. “It was a lot of stuff.” We’ve heard about how Tyga’s foot fetish influenced Kylie to wear certain types of toe-revealing shoes and to paint her nails. So how does Tyga feel about Travis Scott, whose album debuted at #1 thanks to Kylie’s influence . “We ain’t got no beef,” Tyga claims. “It’s his time right now.” Travis’ time began mere weeks after Kylie and Tyga broke up. For that matter, her pregnancy began mere weeks after she and Travis got together. “You gotta let it ride,” Tyga says. “I ain’t got no beef with him.” It’s interesting to hear Tyga claim that he somehow made Kylie famous or successful. In real life, where the rest of us live, relatively few people had even heard of him before he began slipping it to the still-underage Kylie Jenner. Kylie was a tremendous boost to his brand and his ego. And perhaps all of that has gone to his head. We will say that rappers definitely have to maintain a certain vibe of financial security and self-assuredness, even to the point of absurdity, so Tyga almost has to spout off like this. It’s weird to hear him take credit for what Kylie has done — things that many refer to as cultural appropriation. Nina Dobrev Is A Hard Working Instagram Model

So I guess Nina Dobrev now lives in a bikini and doesn’t do much else. I can appreciate a chick who doesn’t work and spends her life vacationing. I just wonder who is holding the bag and funding this lifestyle. It’s most likely the sugar daddy who is taking all the photos and videos. Poor guy.

Issa Rae’s ‘Insecure’ Character Is Moving On From Lawrence, Why Can’t We?

Source: Allen Berezovsky / Getty The completion of any relationship leaves behind an uncomfortable gaping space that echoes against its own empty caverns until it’s filled again. Our significant others become our routine–our days, our hours, our lunches, our mornings, and one day, after many bad days, that partner becomes a habit we must force ourselves to break. The familiarity of this painful cycle was perfectly captured in the season 2 finale of HBO’s hit show ‘Insecure.’ We were willing companions on the Issa & Lawrence relationship ride and then, abruptly, the gears of the rollercoaster track stopped mid-way uphill. Apologies and fantasy sequences wrapped up their fictional romance with a bow, yet somehow, we want more from their union. Show creator Issa Rae’s decision to not bring Lawrence along for season 3 is a profound and necessary character development choice. Issa literally set her past on fire (RIP to that apartment) and is actively making moves to incorporate Daniel (Y’Lan Noel) into her permanent ho-tation. Despite the audience’s devout worship of #LawrenceHive, where would his character fit into Issa’s refreshed life plot? And lest us not forget, Issa is the focal point of this show. No matter how wrapped up we get in the storylines of Molly, Dro, etc, they are all orbiting planets in the Issa universe. I respect the creative decision to keep the focus on Issa as a woman versus her ancillary (and rotating) male counterparts. Lawrence was not a co-star in this story, and we ultimately have to respect Issa’s fictional ex fading into the background just like our own exes would (or should!) “We want to stay as true to life as possible. They had a  great  conversation at the end of season two and it was just about like, hey, she’s moving on Daniel, sometimes we have those conversations,” Rae told Vulture . “You never see the exes again. And it’s okay! You gotta explore life without Lawrence.” Source: Paul Zimmerman / Getty And maybe we would all benefit from going no contact with ‘our personal Lawrence.’ Characters existing beyond their expiration date tend to be toxic on and off screen. Research shows that frequent contact wth an ex is associated with decreased satisfaction with your current partner over time. Studies even correlate people who stay in contact with their exes with psychopathic personality disorders such as narcissism. Psychology aside, two things literally cannot occupy the same space at the same time, that includes the past and present. Even though most exes do the ‘make up to break up’ dance for years, maybe there is a lesson to be gleaned from Issa’s decisiveness. Kevin Smith: Smoking Weed Saved My Life!

Back in February,  Kevin Smith suffered a heart attack that nearly claimed his life. Fortunately, the beloved filmmaker pulled through, and these days, he's up and about, and once again meeting the many demands of his still-thriving media empire. Smith updated fans on his condition throughout his recovery, noting that he rapidly lost 17 pounds after switching to a mostly plant-based diet. Yes, the man who created such characters as Bluntman & Chronic and who hosts a web series called Fatman on Batman might not seem like the most likely health guru, but Smith has been to the brink and turned things around. And while he admits that some of his vices led to the slow deterioration of his health, there's one indulgence that may have literally saved his life. Smith appeared on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert last night, and he shared the tale of receiving some very surprising news from his physician. It seems Smith was in New York to perform a stand-up set when the attack occurred, and his pre-show herbal relaxation ceremony wound up making the difference between life and death. “I asked my doctor like after this was all done, I was like, 'I hate to ask this question, man, but did I have a heart attack because of the weed? Because I smoked a joint right before the show,'” Smith told the audience. “No. In fact, quite the opposite,” Smith recalled the doctor saying. “That weed saved your life.” Yes, they're the words every stoner dreams of hearing. And we think it's safe “He said, you kept calm…they told you [you] were going through stuff and you kept calm the whole time, so that joint saved your life,” Smith told said.  “I'm putting that on a T-shirt,” the 47-year-old concluded. We're guessing that's one item of merchandise that would prove very popular with Smith's fans.

Thomas Ravenel, Southern Charm Star, Accused of Sexual Assault

Thomas Ravenel, the lead cast member on Bravo’s Southern Charm, is under investigation for sexual assault. According to People Magazine, which broke this disturbing story, real estate Ashley Perkins alleges that the reality star took advantage of her mother back when she went on a date with Ravenel in 2015. Parker says her mother and Ravenel met on the dating app Tinder in October of the aforementioned year and then went out on Christmas Day, about two months later. “We lived in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina. He was going to pick her up and they were going to go out for drinks. She agreed to that.” Parker tells People , adding that she did not witness the alleged incident. She continues as follows: “I helped her get ready – she wore a diamond tennis bracelet on her wrist. Her wrist was fine when she left the house. “He left her voicemail saying he got lost on the way to pick her up. I thought he sounded a little inebriated.” Parker, pictured below with her mother, says Ravenel “changed plans” from the original date agreement as soon as her mom got into his car. He suggested they go see a home he had just had renovated and she agreed. (We should note at this point that Southern Charm airs on Bravo and follows a bunch of rich and spoiled people around. It premiered in March of 2014.) Once inside the home, Ravenel reportedly poured his date a small glass of wine. Upon entering the nanny’s room in the residence, Ravenel “he turned on” my mom, Parker says, detailing her allegations this way: “He pushes my mom onto the nanny’s bed, grabs her wrist with one hand, then he starts trying to pull her pants off. And she’s like ‘No, no, no, stop.’ “He stuck his fingers inside of her vagina as well as her anus. “She told me that he held her hands back with one arm and then pulled his penis out and shoved it in her face.” After her mother screamed “YOU’RE A RAPIST,” Ravenel leaped out, “out of his trance,” Parker says, and left the room. After the alleged attack, Ashley claims Ravenel told Debbie “to get yourself an Uber.” However, Debbie convinced Ravenel to drive her home because she had never taken an Uber before, and he proceeded to berate her on the way there. Parker explains that her mom was acting very “withdrawn” until finally confessing to her daughter what had transpired. According to Ashley, Debbie contacted a friend who was an attorney and described the alleged situation. He advised her to get legal help, she says. Parker says they hired Gloria Allred (who has declined comment) and agreed with Ravenal in “mediation” for a settlement of $200,000. Parker and her mom now live in Florida. She says she has come forward to serve as an inspiration for other victims of sexual assault. “This is bigger than my mom. This is bigger than me. I would like to let… other women know that Thomas is not invincible,” Ashley concludes to People. “Or even just women who are against powerful men and think they can’t do anything. I want them to know, you can. I would like to see him off of Bravo. “I would like for my mom not to have to worry about flipping on the television and seeing his smug mug, flaunting his lifestyle around. It’s bigger than us now. “I’d like to see some good come out of the ugly.” In response to these charges, a lawyer for Ravenel says: My client enjoys a certain degree of fame and unfortunately has become – unfairly – a target for an individual who has, in my opinion, dubious motivations. Ravenel, who was sentenced to 10 months in jail on federal cocaine distribution charges in 2007, has starred on Southern Charm since its premiere in 2014. He shares four-year-old daughter Kensie and two-year-old son Saint with ex-girlfriend Kathryn Dennis.

Why Lupus Is an Urgent Matter To Black People

Source: skynesher / Getty “Lupus is not some distant disease,”  Gabrielle Davis , founder of  Lupus Sistas , tells Black Health Matters just days before the Black Health Matters Summit. In fact, lupus is an urgent matter. “It is rampant in the black community. It is having devastating effects on women, specifically black women.” It is with this same passion that Davis, a lupus sufferer and advocate, addresses the crowd at Riverside Church in Harlem, New York. “Nine years ago, my life changed,” she says. “I was young, slim, cute. I was a newlywed. It was my first Valentine’s Day as a married woman. She goes on to explain how she was having pain that day, but she passed it off as stress. So she booked a massage, which only exacerbated the problem. “By the time I got off the table, I could barely walk,” she says. “We couldn’t do Valentine’s Day; we had to go to the ER.” The doctors said Davis’ white blood cell count was out of whack and she was severely dehydrated, but they had no idea what was wrong with the newlywed. Though her primary care physician caught on that Davis was suffering from an autoimmune-related disease, she didn’t see a rheumatologist until three or four months later. That’s when she learned she had lupus. Lupus comes in three main forms: Systemic lupus erythematosus is the most common form of the disease, and it involves the entire body. Cutaneous lupus causes a rash and lesions on the skin. Drug-induced lupus, which occurs when a doctor prescribes a medicine that causes lupus symptoms, usually goes away when the medication is stopped. Davis was diagnosed with SLE. “It was a devastating diagnosis,” she reveals. “And one I didn’t take as seriously as I should.” She takes prednisone, which has given her a moon face. She also suffers from joint problems, especially if it’s really cold or damp and humid. She jokes about buying stock in Aspercreme. And she has experienced hair loss. The fatigue that marks the disease has most severely cramped her lifestyle. “It’s the symptom that bothers us the most,” she says. “It stops us dead in our tracks. There were times it was truly a stretch to get up off the couch.” But perhaps her biggest lupus challenge came about a year after her initial diagnosis. “In 2010, I was diagnosed with kidney disease,” she says. At first she was able to manage the additional health threat, but by 2016, her kidney function had dipped to 4 percent. Her doctors said it was time to think about dialysis. She wanted to handle the new diagnosis with exercise and diet. “I said, ‘Let me get my green smoothie on,’ but sometimes we have to take the medicine, and my medicine was dialysis,” she says. Davis pulls up her shirt to reveal her catheter. “I do nine hours of dialysis with my boyfriend, Baxter,” she says jokingly. Then, serious, again, she adds: “This is my lifeline now.” Davis’ mission isn’t only to share her own story, though her real-world examples of how lupus has affected her are an engaging way to grab an audience’s attention. “I’m just one of many people living with lupus today. I’m able to hold down a full-time job still. Some can’t,” she says. Her bigger goal is to spread lupus awareness. And so she shares these facts: Nine out of 10 lupus patients are women. 40 percent to 50 percent of sufferers will have organ involvement. 1.5 million people in the United States are living with this disease. But that’s a conservative estimate, she explains. “Lupus isn’t tracked well and doesn’t appear on your death certificate.” Black women  are two to three times more likely to be diagnosed than white women; men are diagnosed less often, but they tend to have more severe symptoms. Kid Ink’s Wife Asiah Collins On Their Decade-Long Love Affair, Friendships And “Foeships” Formed On “The Platinum Life”

Courtesy Asiah Collins Asiah Collins Spoke With BOSSIP About Filming “The Platinum Life” And Graduating From Culinary School Kid Ink’s wife Asiah Collins was definitely a fan favorite on the E! Entertainment series “The Platinum Life,” BOSSIP talked to the LA native about her marriage to Kid Ink, her culinary accomplishments (she just completed her studies and plans to open her own restaurant) and got some insight about her relationships on the show. Asiah, who shares a two-year-old daughter Aislin with husband of one-year Kid Ink, says the pair have known each other since high school but their relationship started out platonic. “Everyone thinks that we’ve been together since high school but we’ve known each other since high school, we were just friends,” Asiah told BOSSIP. “We would kind of lose contact then always find our way back to each other. We started dating around my 20th birthday and I’ll be 30 this year. So, it’ll be 10 years that we’ve been together and we’ve been married for one. But yea we’ve known each other for a long time, we grew up together. I remember being in high school and being young and trying to hang out with him, and he was older than me.” A lot has changed since high school, namely Ink’s success as a multi-platinum artist and songwriter. His work often keeps him on the road but Asiah is devoted to making their marriage work. “Up until I had our daughter I was with him on every tour, every event, show, and studio session,”Asiah told BOSSIP. “That was just how we rolled, and how we balanced having a relationship in this lifestyle and it worked for a long time. Now with Aislin, we’re there on the road but we’re not always there. You can’t always have a toddler on the road so we’re balancing that now – family life, and being in school, working on opening up my restaurant, and being there when he needs us.” BOSSIP asked Asiah how she’d advise other couples in the same situation. “You just have to make time,” Asiah told BOSSIP. “If you want to be with someone and have a relationship that requires you to spend a lot of time apart you just have to make time for each other, put forth the effort, and make it a priority.” Asiah also credits her husband for being supportive when she moved forward with the opportunity to do reality TV. “He’s kind of an introvert, he doesn’t really hang around a lot of industry guys because he’s always been an introvert,” Asiah told BOSSIP. “He’s constantly working, and me doing the show, of course, we both were a little hesitant at first. But we met with production and I felt really good about it, he felt really good about it and supported it. Other than the times where I thought I was going to lose my mind, but in those times he’s really spiritual and always gives me the right words to hear at that time. ” Speaking of the show, Asiah says she does have some regrets about the network not airing more of the positive moments the group spent filming. “Just a lot of fun times we had together as a group, and there were times we were there for each other. Just bonding and sharing stories of similar situations we’ve gone through in the industry with our men. I think it would’ve been good for the viewers to see that inside look at what we deal with in the industry.” Viewers may be surprised to learn that some of the women Asiah seemed closest to on the show started off as complete strangers. Hit the flip for the details.
