Despite the audience’s devout worship of #LawrenceHive, where would his character fit into Issa’s refreshed life plot? And lest us not forget, Issa is the focal point of this show. No matter how wrapped up we get in the storylines of Molly, Dro, etc, they are all orbiting planets in the Issa universe. I respect the creative decision to keep the focus on Issa as a woman versus her ancillary (and rotating) male counterparts. Lawrence was not a co-star in this story, and we ultimately have to respect Issa’s fictional ex fading into the background just like our own exes would (or should!) “We want to stay as true to life as possible. They had a great conversation at the end of season two and it was just about like, hey, she’s moving on Daniel, sometimes we have those conversations,” Rae told Vulture . “You never see the exes again. And it’s okay! Game of Thrones has moved at such a breakneck pace this season that it's easy to forget about the storylines the show has temporarily set aside. Everyone's favorite smiling sleazebag Littlefinger didn't make an appearance until episode 4. By recent standards, last week's episode was fairly uneventful, yet there still wasn't enough time to check in with Tyrion. Fortunately, the goings-on in Westeros have been thrilling enough that we don't mind if some fan favorites aren't as prominently featured as they've been in the past. That said, we couldn't be more excited about the return of freakin' Bronn, baby! Lucy Hale has some bad news for fans of Pretty Little Liars: The show will not be around forever. Lucy Hale Teases End of Pretty Little Liars The actress appeared as a guest on The Late Late Show with James Corden on Thursday evening, confirming a rumor that has been floating around for months. She says that Pretty Little Liars will come to an end after Season 7. (We’re currently in the middle of Pretty Little Liars Season 6 .) “It is ending [after next season],” Hale told a devastated Corden, adding: “We’ve been doing it for six years. I’ve literally spent my 20s on the show, and I think all good things must come to an end.” No one else associated with Pretty Little Liars – its producers, its creator – has actually come out and made this announcement. So there may still be hope yet. But Hale already knows how she wants to drama to conclude. “I used to say I wanted the show to end [with the girls] walking away in the sunset, they’re all happy, living an A-free life, no drama, right? “But I don’t, I want it to end really tragically,” she says in the video above. The number of people who watch Pretty Little Liars online or on television have dwindled in recent years. Ratings are down and the storylines are getting a tad ridiculous, even for Pretty Little Liars. Back in December, meanwhile, I. Marlene King wrote on Twitter that the current “uber A” storyline will conclude at the close of Season 7. She is yet to make any proclamation about life for the series beyond that, though she did tell TV Line many weeks ago that let the fans will “tell us if they’re ready to say goodbye to this world and these characters.”
Maybe it’s my hairline, but I’ve always been partial to John McClane’s brand of bald (and smirky) heroism. So, it’s good to see my favorite hairless hard-ass Bruce Willis shooting up Russia with his cinematic son Jai Courtney ( Spartacus ) in the latest trailer for A Good Day to Die Hard . I’m not sure how I feel about Courtney as a potential heir to the McClane Yippie Ki Yay legacy. (For one thing, the kid has got way too much hair.) Then again, I’m not going to lose a lot of sleep over this because a Die Hard movie without Willis is not a movie I want to see. No pressure, John McClane Jr., though I give Courtney props for his delivery of the punch line to this mayhem-heavy trailer set to Beethoven’s “Ode to Joy.” (I’m not going to spoil the fun. Check it out below.) A Good Day To Die Hard finds Willis’ unflappable former NYC policeman fighting terrorists with his estranged son in Russia. John Moore ( Behind Enemy Lines and Max Payne ) directed the script by Skip Woods ( Hitman ). The film opens on Valentine’s Day 2013, which is pretty savvy logic on distributor 20th Century Fox’s part: A Good Day to Die Hard sounds like it could work as both a cuddly date movie and entertainment for single guys who want a whole bunch of explosions and one-liners to help them forget that they’re incredibly alone in this world. With Skyfall ‘s Daniel Craig seemingly winding down his reign as James Bond, it looks like screenwriter John Logan will be writing off into the sunset alongside him. Deadline reports that the Oscar-nominated Logan ( Gladiator , The Aviator , Hugo ) is writing two connected scripts that will likely see Craig through the last two 007 outings he’s currently signed on for. [ PHOTOS: Prince Charles meets 007 on the Skyfall red carpet ] Like the storylines connecting Casino Royale with the subsequent Quantum of Solace , Bonds 24 and 25 would take Craig through another multiple film dramatic arc, which Bond fans seemed to have loved. And with his Bond increasingly dealing with themes of age and obsolescence, as he does in November’s Skyfall , these two Bond films would presumably see Craig passing the torch to a new agent , or at least closing his chapter of the franchise. Logan, meanwhile, earned his first Bond credit on Skyfall alongside Neal Purvis and Robert Wade. [ Deadline ]
